The first "Electric Sewer Age" album was marketed as "the final tracks of Peter Christopherson" - to which some close to the group were even skeptic about the validity of those but now this comes along 6 more tracks? But the production notes don't mention Sleazy's name anywhere. Yet the discogs page for E.S.A lists the members as Danny Hyde and Peter Christopherson. Hmmm have to say I'm a bit skeptic myself. This could be just an attempt at a cash grab/cash in on the Coil name by Danny Hyde. Along with these he's released the never sanctioned Coil album - Backwards (2015) and the supposed unreleased NIN remixes that sound more like Hyde than Coil IMO. All of these releases will always remain separate in my Coil collection and sort have a big question mark over them for me. But I hope this isn't going to become a regular thing of "oh I found more unreleased Coil music guys, funny thing innit". ME At the end of the day it all boils down to one very simple question: Is it any good? Unless you can't make up your mind on that, the whole discussion about legitimacy is pointless. Zololmaran Going by the notes, this was recorded just before the Moon's Milk material, which I think does sound a bit more like PC, with his Soisong hat on. The notes for Corpuscle are slightly disingenuous - they give the ESR back story to suggest PC is involved in this release without actually being explicit one way or the other. You're right to be suspicious though: I'm certain, for example, that Time Machines II isn't really by Sleazy. How odd to fake the music of a band or artist, not just bootleg rare material. Musique Pour La Danse present Coil 's unreleased soundtrack for the VHS only, pre-internet, sexual education documentary entitled The Gay Man's Guide To Safer Sex released in 1992. Members for this project were John Balance , Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson , and Danny Hyde . The OST, to quote John Balance's interview for Compulsion Online, "is [a] slightly new age-y, progressive house type thing". Another way to approach it is as a delightful collection of Balearic beats, smoking jazz not far removed from Badalamenti 's work with David Lynch , somewhat of an ambient house album for your home listening and early morning sunrise dances, Coil style. Taken from the original masters provided by Danny Hyde, The Gay Man's Guide To Safer Sex features a new sexy edit of the main theme.     EDITORIAL Voici trois ans que BLITZ! évolue dans l'univers des musiques confidentielles, célébrant leurs pionniers et leurs héros (parfois injustement oubliés) et s'efforçant de promouvoir les artistes actuels dont la démarche exigeante et l'inspiration nous semblent intéressantes. Un voile noir s'étend sur ce numéro 13, puisque notre dossier est consacré au poète maudit du Death Rock, Roger Alan Painter, plus connu sous le pseudonyme de Rozz Williams. Après avoir ouvert notre premier dossier français avec Congrès de Vienne (cf. numéro 12), nous avons choisi cette fois de franchir l'Atlantique et de nous rendre sur la Côte Ouest des Etats-Unis, où le soleil peut parfois teindre ses rayons à l'encre des plumes de corbeau... Très bonne lecture à tous ! Général Hiver TELEX ♠ Le chanteur du groupe Visage , Steve Strange , est décédé en Egypte, des suites d’une crise cardiaque, le 12 février dernier. Il n’avait que 55 ans et nourrissait plusieurs projets liés au courant néo-romantique. Nous avions consacré le dossier de notre numéro 7 à Visage ( http://web-blitz.net/PHP/DOSSIER-007- Visage.php ) et nous avons été frappés de plein fouet par cette tragique nouvelle. ♠ Le label néerlandais Enfant Terrible réédite en vinyle (nombre limité à 300 exemplaires), les travaux du duo synthétique allemand s olitude fx , dont la new wave minimale se caractérise par des claviers vintage, des textes romantiques et une douce mélancolie. Les morceaux les plus marquants de cet album sont à notre avis « Walking with Shadows », à la beauté simple et efficace, et « Die Vierte Dimension » qui, comme le laisse entendre son titre, invite l'auditeur à entrer dans un univers parallèle.

Musique Pour La Danse present Coil 's unreleased soundtrack for the VHS only, pre-internet, sexual education documentary entitled The Gay Man's Guide To Safer Sex released in 1992. Members for this project were John Balance , Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson , and Danny Hyde . The OST, to quote John Balance's interview for Compulsion Online, "is [a] slightly new age-y, progressive house type thing". Another way to approach it is as a delightful collection of Balearic beats, smoking jazz not far removed from Badalamenti 's work with David Lynch , somewhat of an ambient house album for your home listening and early morning sunrise dances, Coil style. Taken from the original masters provided by Danny Hyde, The Gay Man's Guide To Safer Sex features a new sexy edit of the main theme. Bonus tracks "Nasa-Arab" and "Omlagus Garfungiloops" are taken from the 1992 CD-only release Stolen And Contaminated Songs , both being original versions of the radically reworked (for the OST) "Nasa-Arab 2" and "Exploding Frogs" in order to balance the whole album and extend the listening pleasure.
