Bus services to and from

Service Origin and Destination Frequency

Buses of Somerset X10 Blandford-Sturminster Weekdays (See Appendix [13]) Newton-Yeovil First service at 07.37 arriving at 8.28 into - Henstridge Yeovil - Milborne Port - Oborne Then every 30 minutes until 10.57 when - Sherborne the service is every 2 hours - Stallen Last service at 20.08 - Yeovil, Pen Mill Railway Station 6 buses a day travel to Blandford and the - Yeovil journey takes just over an hour compared with 30 minutes by car.

7 buses per day travel to Yeovil which takes 40 minutes compared with 22 minutes by car.

There are no services at weekends.

This is the only service through Stalbridge with connections required to access other settlements not on the route. Somerset First 58 Wincanton-Sherborne- This service used to operate between (See Appendix [15]) Yeovil Wincanton and Yeovil. However, it is not currently operating.

Service 58A operated on a Saturday only and connects Stalbridge with Wincanton and Yeovil. It has a very limited frequency departing Stalbridge at 07.401 and 07.422 from 2 stops in the town and then again at 09.00 and 09.02. There is one return service which leaves Yeovil at 17.15 and arrives into Stalbridge at 17.59.

Somerset X4 - This service does not connect with (Appendix [14]) Gillingham-Bourton Stalbridge.

It runs on weekdays only and a connection is required using 58A

These schemes provide for those that do not have access to conventional forms of public and private transport, many of the services being staffed by volunteers. They primarily support those for example who need to access NHS facilities who are expected to make their own travel arrangements. This includes Sturminster Newton and District Community Cars.

PlusBus offers a weekday mid-morning trip to a local town to allow approximately 2 hours for shopping or appointments. Yeovil A departs from , travelling through , , Wonston, , Kingston, King’s Stag, Holwell, Stalbridge, Bishop’s Caundle, and Stalbridge Weston to Sherborne, and then onward to Yeovil

NORDCAT Dial-a-ride serves the North towns and is eligible to those over 60 years of age operating Monday to Friday. It is available to provide access to shopping, visiting friends, medical appointments on a concessionary fare basis.
