ZEE: Zonas Económicas Especiales. 14 INTRODUCC I ÓN Era el año 2009 cuando se me planteó la idea de hacer un trabajo sobre la actualidad geopolítica del Nepal. Me en- contraba en el primer curso del programa de Doctorado de Bienestar Social y Desigualdades desarrollado por los de- partamentos de Sociología II y Comunicación y Psicología Social de la Universidad de Alicante, en concreto en la asig- natura Violencia y desigualdades en el sistema mundial del sociólogo J.M. Tortosa. Teníamos que hacer un monográfi- co sobre un país en el que hubiera alguna situación de crisis ligada a la violencia de un conflicto armado. Recuerdo que todos mis compañeros y compañeras de- cidieron hacerlo sobre Colombia, Palestina, Irak, etc.; es decir, sobre aquellos conflictos que, aunque distorsionados, sí tie- nen cobertura en los medios masivos. Por mi parte quería hacer algo diferente, que pudiera aportarnos conocimiento de otras realidades lejanas, realizando un sano ejercicio de in- ternacionalismo científico entre tanto localismo y sectarismo académico posmoderno. No deseaba realizar un trabajo que fuera a caer en los lugares comunes de siempre confeccio- nando un refrito de opiniones ajenas con voz desganada. Me pareció una posición muy conservadora y como tenía tiempo, pues en aquellos momentos estaba temporalmente 15 NE PAL , LA R E VOLUC I ÓN D E SCONOC I DA . Del mismo modo al que arribé a casi todos los lugares interesantes en mi vida inte- lectual: partiendo de la negación o el cuestionamiento de la situación dada, me aventuré por los terrenos laboriosos, a ve- ces exasperantes, pero sin duda mucho más excitantes, de la (re)construcción y producción de conocimiento con inten- ciones liberadoras, emancipadoras: revolucionarias. Lo hice pensando en el género humano, el público que más me hon- ra cuando siquiera pienso que una parte del mismo puede estar al otro lado, leyendo algo que he producido, escrito, pintado..

    YSP Launching for Asia, Pacific and Greater China Regions in Bangkok, Thailand Robert Kittel June 13, 2017 The Government of the Kingdom of Thailand gave its full support for the launching of the Youth and Students for Peace (YSP) by: sending two Cabinet Ministers, including the senior-most Deputy Prime Minister who came on behalf of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha; mobilizing 6,000 students from 200 schools, and officially co-hosting the 2-day program. YSP is a global network of young people dedicated to building a world of lasting peace and mutual prosperity by living for others, creating families of true love, and contributing to society. It builds on the values of filial piety, supports inter-generational families and cultivates a sense of social responsibility. The first event, on June 12, was at the United Nations Conference Centre, ESCAP1 Hall in Bangkok which seats nearly 1,200 people.
