This year The Friends of the Moffat Library are happy to announce authors Mary Calvi and Peter Duffy as our featured speakers for this popular annual event. Mary Calvi is the co-anchor of CBS 2 This Morning and CBS 2 At Noon at WCBS-TV in , and the recipient of 10 Emmy Awards. Her debut award-winning novel, Dear George, Dear Mary: A Novel of George Washington’s First Love, is a never-before-told story, hidden away for centuries, revealing that long before tea was tossed into Boston Harbor, unrequited love helped spark a flame that ignited the cause that became the American Revolution. Peter Duffy is the author of Double Agent, The Bielski Brothers, The Agitator & The Killing of Major Denis Mahon. He also works as a freelance journalist and writes regularly for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York magazine, The New Republic, Slate, and many other outlets. Books will be available for purchase at the event. An autographed book makes a great gift for someone special who likes history and non-fiction! The Friends raise money through the sale of author books at their Author Luncheons. Tickets for the luncheon are $40.00 & will be available for sale at the Moffat Library in late February 2020 For more information call (845) 496-5483 x 323 or email us at: [email protected] Proceeds from the Luncheon support programs at the Moffat Library
