The way we do business has been drastically changing over the last fifty team. years, and women have come to the fore-front of what it means to do better, more diverse business. As we move towards the future, it is obvious to me that women will be a cornerstone to how successful business is conducted, and it is my hope that the Illinois Women’s Conference can be a place for women to learn essential skills necessary to achieve greatness. Nadine and the National Diversity Council award winners demonstrate the value of developing diverse leaders and providing mentors for young women in . The purpose of this day-long conference is three fold. First, the conference is obviously a great place for professional development. The list of excellent speakers and the various sessions on issues pertaining to women will definitely give tremendous insight into what it means to be a successful woman. Second, the conference is about Illinois Women. It gives the Illinois Community a forum To learn more about Lockton’s vibrant culture, visit www.lockton.com. to have a dialogue on very important topics that affect each and every one of us, especially women, every day. Open dialogue is essential for progress. Third, the conference is all about the future of women in Illinois. Giving Illinois women the tools and skills necessary to build themselves up and become successful in turn helps Illinois as a whole to be successful.

I want to thank our sponsors for their financial support. Without their support, there would be no Illinois Women’s Conference. Please take note of our sponsors and support them when possible. Second, I want to say “Thank You” to our speakers who have made a commitment to be here for this conference. Many have traveled in order to participate and I greatly appreciate their sup- port. Finally, I would like to thank the organizers of the conference for a job well done.
