Electric Atmosphere

Power down? The atmosphere at YKOR was defi- nitely up! Last week, despite the fact that the classrooms were darker than usual, all of the talmidim who walked into were ready to learn with their usual enthusiasm. Then the shades in each classroom were pulled up to the most natural light possible from outside as the boys were Talmidim shoveling ready to forge ahead out cars during recess creating their own at Rabbi Senter’s shul electric atmosphere. The power in yeshiva might have been down, but no one would have noticed given how the learning by our undaunted talmidim was definitely more than up to par.

The talmidim in grades sixth, seventh and eighth, were happy to have the privilege of learning in Rabbi Senter’s Shul for the day. The Rosh Hayeshiva came over specially to address those talmidim in their tem- porary location.

Power Out-ing Thanks as well for the thoughtfulness of two of our yeshiva’s families who provided the kindergarten and Pre- 1A boys with a change of pace last week. Both classes were thrilled to relocate to their classmate’s home for the day so that the classes could operate on full power. Thank you to the Silber family for hosting the kinder- garten class, and thank you to the Brachfeld family for hosting the Pre-1A class as well as Rabbi Senter for hosting the sixth, seventh and eighth-grade classes. It was really appreciated and a great zechus. A special thank you to all of the caring Morahs and assistants for going out of their way to help make it all happen. More power to you!
