Fashion Film Prada the Postman Dreams – the Tree Fashion Film Prada The Postman Dreams – The Tree Prada Prada fue fundada en Milán en el año 1913 por su fundador, Mario Prada. Gracias a la calidad de sus acabados y marroquinería, la marca se convirtió en proveedora oficial de la Familia Real italiana. Por esta razón, se destacó entre la jet set y las sociedades de alto nivel del continente europeo. En el año 1978 la nieta del fundador, Miuccia Prada, junto a su futuro marido, Patrizio Bertelli, tomaron las riendas de la dirección artística de la empresa, dispuestos a llevarla un paso más adelante. A mediados de los años 80 se introdujo el prêt-à-porter en la firma italiana. Desde ese entonces hasta la actualidad, en cada temporada, Prada consiguió marcar el ritmo de la moda revitalizando y reinterpretando elementos presentes en el imaginario colectivo tales como el encaje, las rayas, la piel de serpiente, el color, las hadas, el universo tunning, etc. Además, ha sido encargada de reinventar la feminidad del nuevo milenio y crear varias alternativas a las tendencias dominantes de los últimos años. Asimismo, debido a la importancia de la arquitectura y el arte para Miuccia y Patrizio, la firma dedica un importante esfuerzo a apoyar y producir arte contemporáneo. Autumn de Wilde Autumn de Wilde es un fotógrafo y director, nacido en el año 1970 en la ciudad de Nueva York. Sus comienzos en la fotografía se debieron a su padre, de quien aprendió todo, ya que era un fotógrafo artístico y comercial conocido por sus retratos a Jimi Hendrix y a otros íconos de los años 60. Sin estudios formales, de Wilde es reconocido por sus trabajos comerciales con músicos y las portadas fotográficas para los discos de Miranda Cosgrove, Elliott Smith, She & Him, etc. También, fue director de videos musicales y documentales de conciertos en vivo para The Flaming Lips, Spoon y Arcade Fire. Además, sus fotografías formaron parte de la portada y el contenido de varias revistas tales como Spin Magazine, Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, etc. Dentro de la moda, fotografió lookbooks para Rodarte y filmó una serie de 5 fashion films cortos para Prada. En cierto momento, se detiene asombrada por las Galleria Bags colgadas en un inmenso árbol, se baja del vehículo, levanta una piedra del piso y la arroja hacia una de éstas para que caiga al suelo. Luego, agarra esta Galleria Bag caída en el piso y se la cuelga en el hombro. En el instante en que regresa a la moto, pasa el cartero con varias cajas de correo para entregar en su carro. La mujer espera a que éste termine de pasar, se sube a la moto y continua su viaje. En el medio del film aparecen ciertas escenas en donde se ve una banda de músicos tocando distintos instrumentos musicales, en la ruta. Concepto La presencia de la marca se hace visible en el producto protagónico del video, la Galleria Bag que la joven mujer cuelga de su hombro luego de derribarla del árbol. También, la marca aparece en el diseño de una carta, presentando el video. El fashion film The Tree pertenece a una serie de 5 cortos humorísticos de The Postman Dreams, los cuales se basan en la vida de un cartero soñador. De esta manera, en cada uno de ellos se emplea el surrealismo por esto no hay un tiempo y lugar determinado. También, se combinan elementos de la fantasía y la realidad en el mágico árbol, el cual tiene Galleria Bags color rojo manzana colgadas en sus ramas (fantasía) y manzanas rojas caídas en la tierra (realidad). Además, la elegancia se transmite a través del personaje del cartero con uniforme, que sirve de metáfora de la comunicación personal en un mundo tecnológico. Asimismo, la banda nouveau-gitana musical The Blasting Company desempeña un papel estratégico, ya que aparece periódicamente como telón de fondo y construye un ambiente refinado. A través de los sueños del cartero y el mundo fantástico creado logran posicionar al producto como uno glorioso, pero adaptable a cualquier uso como se puede ver en la joven mujer, quien lleva la Galleria Bag hasta manejando su moto. También, la marca busca posicionar el producto para un público más joven debido a la corta edad de la señorita motociclista que utiliza la cartera. Vestuario Mujer motociclista: El personaje principal, interpretado por la actriz Autumn Kendrick, esta vestida con un aire motociclista, por el uso de cuero en su zona top, bottom y accesorios como botas y guantes. A pesar de la tosquedad que puede presentar el personaje de un motociclista, el estilo clásico y elegante de la marca no se desvaneció. Además, se utilizó el color negro en su vestimenta ya que representa al uniforme de un motociclista y para no opacar el producto principal, la Galleria Bag. También, se hace referencia al estilo rock. Cartero: El personaje, interpretado por el actor Buddy Watson, esta vestido con el típico uniforme color azul de un cartero de los años 70´s. Esto resalta el estilo clásico y prolijo de la marca, debido a la presencia de un tradicional uniforme. Además, el uso del cuero en el bolso del cartero resalta la identidad de la marca, la cual se destaca por su marroquinería. Banda musical: Estos personajes, interpretados por la banda sonora The Blasting Company, están vestidos con elegantes trajes sastreros de colores acromáticos y terrosos. Además, se rescata el uso de accesorios como las boinas, características de la década del año 1970. Asimismo, se puede ver un estilo dandi. Maquillaje y peinado El personaje de la joven mujer motociclista lleva un maquillaje natural con un contraste generado en los labios, pintados de un rojo intenso que hace juego con el color de la Galleria Bag. Además, el pelo suelto volándose al andar en moto encaja perfecto con la naturaleza y el sentimiento de libertad que rodea las escenas. Imágenes .

Rough Trade Records will be releasing The King Is Dead in the UK and Europe on January 17. The preorder of the set has launched today exclusively at Decemberists.com. Each of the 2,500 limited edition box sets will be unique, with every one containing a one-of-a-kind original Polaroid photo by de Wilde. The linen-wrapped clamshell box will have a foil-stamped cover, and will also include the CD, 180-gram white vinyl with an exclusive cover design, the DVD Pendarvia (a 30-minute short film by Aaron Rose documenting the making of the album), a 72-page hardcover book featuring over 250 photos by de Wilde and illustrations by Carson Ellis, and a signed Giclée print of an exclusive illustration by Ellis. Halsted St. DAVIS LEAVES Standing as the Chicago area’s first LGBTQ-friendly, affordable senior living option, the facility has 79 one-bedroom and studio CENTER ON apartments that are occupied by 83 residents 55 years and older, HALSTED who continue to settle in and make their new living units home. PAGE 12 The doors opened for the move-in process late August with all the yearly leases signed by Sept. 12. “It is very diverse and it’s very much for the community that is in need of affordable housing,” said Modesto “Tico” Valle, Center on Halsted’s CEO. “It’s been very humbling to see seniors move in and to hear the news that they’ve been selected. As one senior put it, he felt like he won the lottery and he was in tears.” According to Kandyse McCoy Cunningham, director of property management for Heartland Housing, 440 people applied for the housing during the initial two-day pre-application session to qual- ify potential residents at Center on Halsted in May. Leases were to be offered and signed through the end of October, but due to the popularity of the project, the spaces filled up within a 15-day period, and sooner than expected.
