Henrik Stenson Returning to the Wyndham Championship for the first time since 2012, 2013 FedExCup champion Henrik Stenson birdied four of his last six holes en route to a final-round 6-under 64 and one-stroke victory over PGA TOUR rookie Ollie Schniederjans.

Stenson wins with a tournament-record 22-under 258, topping the previous tournament record at the Wyndham Championship of 21-under 259 (Si Woo Kim/2016, Carl Pettersson/2008).

With the victory, Stenson collects 500 points and moves from No. 75 to No. 23 in the FedExCup standings.

Stenson records his sixth PGA TOUR victory in his 170th start, with his most recent victory coming at the 2016 Open Championship. Prior to that, he won two FedExCup Playoffs events, the 2013 Dell Technologies Championship and 2013 en route to winning the 2013 FedExCup.

Highlights from the week: Opened the week with a flawless 62, his low round on the PGA TOUR…Career-best, opening 36-hole score of 12-under 128 (3rd), besting 130s at the 2013 TOUR Championship and Dell Technologies Championship en route to winning the 2013 FedExCup title…His 194 total through three rounds marked his career- low 54-hole total, topping 196 at the 2013 Dell Technologies Championship. In addition, 54-hole total marked the second-best total in tournament history, with the record remaining with fellow Swede Carl Pettersson, who posted 191 through three rounds in 2008.

No player outside the Playoffs bubble entering the Wyndham Championship has successfully negotiated his way to the 30-player TOUR Championship.

Ace Bonanza There were three aces Sunday: Roberto Castro (7-iron from 174 yards on the par-3 third hole), Ben Crane (7-iron from 172 yards on the par-3 16th hole) and Martin Flores (8-iron from 172 yards on the par-3 16th hole).

The Wyndham Championship has now had 29 aces (since 1983).

With Crane’s hole-in-one (the first this week on the 16th hole), he received 1,000,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

Prior to Sunday, the 2016 was the last event on the PGA TOUR with three aces in one round. Davis Love III, and all aced the 16th hole during the final round in Augusta.

Prior to Sunday, the 2016 Wyndham Championship was the last tournament on the PGA TOUR that featured three or more aces during the week (4).

Ollie Schniederjans PGA TOUR rookie Ollie Schniederjans posted the day’s only bogey-free round – a 6-under 64 – to finish a career- best second and just one stroke behind Henrik Stenson. He birdied three of his final four holes, nearly holing out for eagle on the par-4 18th hole from 164 yards out, leaving a birdie putt from 21 inches.

Schniederjans was hoping to become the 19th player to pick up his maiden PGA TOUR victory at the Wyndham Championship, most recently Si Woo Kim in 2016.

Schniederjans is part of the famed Class of 2011 which includes PGA TOUR winners Jordan Spieth, , and . The high school class of 2011 has accounted for eight wins in 43 events on the PGA TOUR this season: Justin Thomas (4), Jordan Spieth (3) and Daniel Berger (1).

The race for the PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year is heating up as five rookies have already won this season (Cody Gribble, Mackenzie Hughes, Wesley Bryan, Xander Schauffele and Grayson Murray). Schniederjans is one of 11 rookies who will advance to the FedExCup Playoffs, tying the TOUR record.

In 25 starts this season, Schniederjans has five top-10s, with his runner-up effort his first since a T3 at the RBC Heritage in April.

Schniederjans is a Georgia Tech product. There have been seven winners of ACC schools at the Wyndham Championship, but never from Georgia Tech. ACC Schools with Wyndham Championship winners: Wake Forest (3), North Carolina (2), Duke (1) and N.C. State (1).

In his only other start in the Wyndham Championship, Schniederjans missed the cut in 2015.

Additional Player Notes A final-round 3-under 67 led to a solo third-place finish for 2011 Wyndham Championship winner Webb Simpson. In search of his fifth career PGA TOUR victory and first since the 2013 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Simpson moves from No. 37 to No. 25 as he heads to the FedExCup Playoffs for the ninth consecutive season. Born in Raleigh and a resident of Charlotte, N.C., Simpson named his third child, born in 2014, Wyndham. He is one of four North Carolinian winners of the Wyndham (Davis Love III, Raymond Floyd and Scott Hoch.

Making his seventh start in the Wyndham Championship, Kevin Na finished T4 for his second-consecutive top-10 finish in Greensboro (T10 in 2016). With the exception of an injury-laden 2012-13 season in which he made just eight starts, Na has never failed to finish inside the top 100 in the FedExCup standings since its inception in 2007. He will enter the FedExCup Playoffs No. 75 in the standings as he seeks his fourth consecutive trip to the 30-player TOUR Championship.

Making his 103rd PGA TOUR start, Ryan Armour finished T4 for his fourth top-10 finish of his career and first since a T6 at the 2007 . Armour had missed the cut in his three previous starts at the Wyndham Championship (2007, 2008, 2015).

After missing the cut in his first two starts at the Wyndham Championship (1999, 2012), Rory Sabbatini has now posted back-to-back top-10 finishes in Greensboro (T8-2013, T4-2017). It marks his first top-10 finish (70th of his career) since a T10 at the 2015 DEAN & DELUCA Invitational. After missing the FedExCup Playoffs a year ago for the first time since the FedExCup era began in 2007, Sabbatini earns a return trip to the Playoffs, currently ranked No. 122 in the standings.

Martin Flores equaled his best score (final round in 2013) in 18 rounds at the Wyndham Championship with a final- round 7-under 63 to finish T7. By doing so, he advances to the FedExCup Playoffs for the third time in his career, jumping from No. 139 to No. 118. This week marked the third made cut for Flores in six Wyndham Championship starts, with a T16 finish in 2013 his previous-best finish.

Cameron Smith, who teamed with Jonas Blixt earlier this year to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, posted bookend, career-low 7-under 63s to finish T7. Here’s a look at his results at the Wyndham Championship (T18- 2015, MC-2016, T7-2017). Smith, who made his 60th start on TOUR this week, sits No. 40 as he begins his first trip to the FedExCup Playoffs.

Shane Lowry finished T7 in his second Wyndham Championship start (T42-2016). It is his first top-10 finish since a runner-up showing at the 2016 U.S. Open. Lowry finished the season No. 127 in the FedExCup standings.

Gastonia, N.C.’s and East Carolina alum Harold Varner III posted a final-round 1-under 69 to finish T10. After entering the week outside of the top 125 (No. 138), Varner moves to No. 123 to secure his second-consecutive appearance in the FedExCup Playoffs (finishing No. 75 a year ago). Varner records his first top-10 finish on TOUR since a T7 at the 2016 Quicken Loans National (35 starts later).

Three-time Wyndham Championship winner Davis Love III finished T10 for his first top-10 finish since winning the 2015 Wyndham Championship. Unable to defend his 2015 title in 2016 after undergoing hip surgery, here’s a look at Love’s last eight rounds at Sedgefield: 64-66-69-64-64-66-67-69. Making his 746th official PGA TOUR start this week, Love (53 months, four months, seven days) was attempting to become the oldest winner in PGA TOUR history (Sam Snead/52 years, 10 months, 8 days/1965 Wyndham Championship).

Richy Werenski finished T10 for his second-consecutive top-10 finish on the PGA TOUR (playoff loss at the Barracuda Championship). Werenski sat No. 160 in the FedExCup standings following a missed cut at The on July 9, but has since moved all the way to No. 108 with four top-25 finishes in his last five starts: T25-John Deere Classic, T18-Barbasol Championship, T42-RBC , P2-Barracuda Championship, T10-Wyndham Championship.
