A year ago, two players (Kyle Stanley and Shawn Stefani) played their way into the FedExCup Playoffs via the Wyndham Championship. Matt Jones and Whee Kim fell out of the top 125 following the 2016 Wyndham Championship. Prior to this season, 16 players had advanced to the FedExCup Playoffs each season. Following the Wyndham Championship, 13 of those players will extend that streak another year.
