Last year alone we had over 25 states competing WINES & VINES from across America and our judges scrutinized 6,417 entries ranging from light and fragrant to rich Print and Digital Products and powerful. The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC) is one of the industry’s most respected, and highly publicized, wine competitions for the Wine and Grape Industry in the country. It has become a platform for larger and boutique wineries alike to showcase their wines on a national scale in order to land at the top 10% of quality wines in the country. The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC) is taking this opportunity to issue a “Call for Entries” for its 2016 competition. Entries will be accepted from now until the end of November and will be evaluated the first week of January. The SFCWC uses a unique collaborative style of judging as it evaluates thousands of entries from around the country by judges from across the United States. In cooperation with Northern California’s largest newspaper, the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGate.com, the SFCWC will provide heightened exposure to the award winning wineries in 2016. Sponsorships for the competition includes KGO- AM 810, NBC TV and Wine & Spirits Magazine which will be a major returning sponsor that will publish a full page spread of award winning wines. The Larose Group, our public relations agency, will increase wine award exposure through additional media outlets including print, radio, websites, blogs, social media and various other platforms throughout the country. After the judging is complete, we bring our judges’ knowledge and the opportunity to taste these delicious wines to consumers at the Public Tasting and Food Pairing at Fort Mason Center, Saturday, February 13, 2016. We believe that this competition is a true barometer that consumers can use to educate themselves and measure premium wines. Thank you for your participation and good luck.
