Vanessa Gonzalez-Ahmed is an associate in the New York oﬃce of Milbank and a member of the ﬁrm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group.

Primary Focus & Experience

Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, regulatory investigations and white-collar defense.

Prior to joining Milbank, Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed spent ﬁve years in the General Counsel’s Oﬃce of Ernst & Young LLP as a litigation paralegal.

Recognition & Accomplishments

In 2021, Legal Services NYC (LSNYC) named Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed Co-chair of LSNYC’s Pro Bono Associate Advisory Board through 2024. LSNYC is the nation's largest civil legal services provider serving low-income New Yorkers.

As of 2019, Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed has served as the Associate Co-chair of the ﬁrm's Latinx Attorney Mentoring and Networking Organization.

Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar and served as a Notes Editor for the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed received her B.A., cum laude, from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Ms. Gonzalez-Ahmed is the author of Cultural Property: The Hero of Dance’s Drama, 51 COLUM. J. L. SOC. PROBS. 549 (2018).
