CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

The Office of Development Commissioner (MSME) is an attached office of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and is the apex body to advise, coordinate and formulate policies and programmes for the development and promotion of the MSME Sector in the country. The Office of Development Commissioner (MSME) has a network of 30 MSME-Development Institutes, 28 Branch MSME-Development Institutes, 4 MSME-Testing Centres, 7 MSME-Testing Stations and 18 MSME-Technology Centres (MSME-TCs). It is implementing Technology Centre Systems Programme, under which 15 new MSME- Technology Centres (TCs) are being established in the country. Out of 15 MSME-TCs, two MSME-TCs are being established in U.P, one each at Kanpur & (Dist.Gautam Budh Nagar). Work for MSME-TC at Kanpur has already begun and short term training programme has been started from 24.12.2018. In the state of , the support facilities and services of the Office of Development Commissioner (MSME) are rendered through the network of three MSME- Development Institutes located at Kanpur, Agra and Allahabad and one Branch Institute at Varanasi and 5 MSME-TCs at Kannauj (FFDC), Agra (PPDC & CFTI), Firozabad (CDGI) & Meerut (PPDC).

MSME-DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (MSME-DI) KANPUR

MSME-DI, Kanpur was set up in Kanpur in 1958. At present, it caters to the promotional and developmental needs of MSME Sector of 25 districts of Uttar Pradesh, namely Auraiya, Basti, Barabanki, Kushinagar, Deoria, Etawah, Farukhabad, Fatehpur, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Lakhimpur Kheeri, Lalitpur, , Mahoba, Raebareli, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Unnao. Rest of the districts fall under the jurisdiction of MSME-DIs at Agra and Allahabad.

MSME-DI, Kanpur is the nodal institute for the state of Uttar Pradesh. The institute maintains a close liaison with the State Industries Department, Financial Institutions/Banks, State Promotional Agencies, Technical Departments, Universities and Academic Institutions, Engineering Colleges and Industry Associations. The support of the institute is basically in terms of :

1. Policy promotion measures for MSME Sector

2. Providing Technical Consultancy to Existing and Prospective Entrepreneurs

3. Publicizing Udyog Aadhaar Registration for MSMEs as part of ease of doing business & motivating units for registration in MSME-Databank

4. Publicizing the Public Procurement Policy and facilitating due share of MSE Sector in procurements by Government Departments and Public Sector Enterprises & also popularizing the special focus initiatives of the Govt. of India like Start Up India, Stand Up India, Make in India, Skill India etc.

5. Sharing Economic and Statistical Information.

6. Implementation & Promotion of schemes of Ministry of MSME viz. MSE-Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), Zero Effect Zero Defect (ZED) Manufacturing, Procurement & Market Support Scheme (PMS), Technology Upgradation and ASPIRE etc. in the State.

7. Popularize the schemes like Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme, CGTMSE, Mudra Yojana and www.psbloansin59minutes.com.

8. Organize suitable training programmes and events for prospective and existing entrepreneurs

9. Services of Common Facility Workshops to Entrepreneurs through CNC Machines for engineering sector (Job work as well as specialised training) and for food sector through the well equipped Technology & Product Development Centre (TPDC) are also extended.

10. An Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) is functioning under the institute which provides support from Ideation, Incubation to Start own enterprise for Startups and prospective entrepreneurs. It also helps MSMEs for obtaining UAM, GeM/ GST registrations and benefits of various schemes.

NEW INITIATIVES

3.1 Enterprise Development Centre (EDC)

Enterprise Development Center (EDC) is functioning from 08.08.2018 at Institute. EDC provides facilitation to existing & budding entrepreneurs on various Govt. Schemes, Registrations of UAM, GeM, GST etc., Financial Schemes viz. PMEGP, MUDRA, Stand-Up India etc. and guiding to selection of new projects. Total 1,506 nos. of visitors visited to EDC and guided by the officials of the EDC & Institute since inception of the centre.

More than 500 projects profiles are available in EDC cell which helps to budding entrepreneur to select suitable project for them beside this EDC facilitates with various latest technical & economical magazines & generals as per their requirement. 3.2 Udyam Samaagam MSME-Development Institute, Kanpur organized the three days, 02 Udyam Samaagam -Cum- Industrial Exhibition one each at Fatehpur and Kanpur. The theme of Fatehpur Udyam Samaagam was Food Processing Industry and Kanpur Udyam Sammagam was Leather Industry. It was a flagship programmes of National Vendor Development Programme (NVDP), National workshops and Awareness Programme on GeM. The samaagam was conglomeration of Experts from Industry, Academia including Research & Development Institutions, Financial Institutions, Govt. Departments, Industry Associations and MSMEs/Startup/Prospective Entrepreneurs.

3.2.1. Udyam Samaagam at Fatehpur

The three days Udyam Sammagam -Cum- Industrial Exhibition was organised in association with Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. From 21.02.2019 to 23.02.2019 at Th. Yugraj Singh P.G. College, Shanti Nagar, G.T. Road, Fatehpur. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Hon‟ble Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest of Inaugural function of Udyam Samaagam-cum- Industrial Exhibition.

During the Samaagam, following programmes were organized :

a. National Vendor Development Programme (NVDP) b. National Workshops/Seminars on Development of Agro & Allied Food Product Industries c. National Workshops/Seminars on Development of Agro & Allied Food Product Industries d. Awareness Workshop on Government E-Marketing (GeM)

National Vendor Development Programme under Udyam Samaagam was organized in association with with Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. and Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI) from 21.02.2019 to 23.02.2019 at Th. Yugraj Singh P.G. College, Shanti Nagar, G.T. Road, Fatehpur. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Hon‟ble Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India inaugurated the function. During her inaugural address, she appreciated the efforts made by MSME-DI, Kanpur to organize such types of Udyam Samaagam –cum- Industrial Exhibition at Fatehpur. Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-DI welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries at the inauguration of Udyam Samaagam and spelt

out the objective of National Vendor Development Programme and also discussed about Industrial scenario of Fatehpur District, SAMADHAAN Portal, SAMBANDH Portal etc.

(HAL), Kanpur, Shri Sanjay Sharif,Senior Branch Manager, NSIC Kanpur Shri B. K. Singh, Regional Manger, Baroda U.P. Gramin Bank Fatehpur, Shri Iqbal Khan, Branch Manager, HDFC Bank Fatehpur, Representative from Govt organizations like CFTI Agra, NSIC Kanpur, FFDC Kanpur, Coir Board Kanpur, CIMAP Lucknow, District Agriculture Office Fatehpur, District Horticulture Office Fatehpur, DIEPC Fatehpur, FSSAI Fatehpur, Shri Kuwnar Shashank, Vice President, Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI), U.P. Chapter and other dignitaries from different departments were prominently present.

Shri Vikram Singh, Hon‟ble MLA Sadar Fatehpur and Shri Karan Singh Patel, Hon‟ble MLA Bindki, Fatehpur also visited the exhibition and interacted with the participating entrepreneurs.

During the technical sessions representative of CPSUs/ Financial Institutions viz. Modern Coach Factory Raebareli, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Kanpur, delivered their presentation on Procedure for Procurement & Vendor registration and Items Procured by them. There were 50 Stalls put up by both MSMEs (31 stalls) & PSUs / Govt. Departments/Financial Institutions (19 stalls). Business commitments to the tune of Rs. 20 Crore were made during the exhibition. A sum of Rs. 41,000/- was earned as revenue. The programme was coordinated by Shri Rajesh Kumar Asstt. Director (Chem.).

b. National Workshop/Seminar on Development of Agro & Allied Food Products Industries

Two Days National Workshop/Seminar on Development of Agro & Allied Food Products Industries under Udyam Sammagam was organised on 21.02.2019 & 22.02.2019 at Th. Yugraj Singh P.G. College, Shanti Nagar, G.T. Road, Fatehpur. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. P.P.Gothwal, Director, CFTRI, Lucknow. During his inauguaral address Dr. Gothwal said that there is a huge potential of Agro & Food Processing Industries in Fatehpur District. The existing & potential entrepreneurs may take technical and other support of Govt. of India & State government institutions for expanding their business.

Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-DI, Kanpur addressed the gathering and briefed about the assistance being provided by the institute to existing & potential entrepreneurs. He

also informed that 6.4 crores enterprises which come from MSME sector employing more than 11 crores persons. During technical session, Dr.P.P. Gothwal, Director , CFTRI, Lucknow, delivered his presentation on Present scenario of Agro & Food Industry, innovative technique and machines used in the sector of food processing and gardening science. Dr. Alakh Kumar Singh, HOD, Food Technique Department, Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, delivered a talk on challenges faced by this sector and solution of those challenges to the gathering. He urges to the gathering to take the benefits from latest schemes run by Central Government and State Government.

Dr. Vivek Kumar, Assistant Professor, HBTU, Kanpur discussed about the usage of latest High Tech Machines & efficient usage of raw material for producing high quality products. Shri R.P.Singh, Advisor, National Productivity Council, Kanpur stated in details about the potential opportunity of MSME units in food and vegetable sector. Shri Anit Kumar, Asstt. Professor, HBTU Kanpur discussed in details about potential in Dairy Industry. Shri Brijesh Kumar Shukla, Unit Head of Britannia delivered a talk on potential and quality standards of Bakery Sector.

Total 225 participants got benefitted from the Workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Shri Ajay Bajpai, Dy.Director (Electronics). c. National Workshop/Seminar on Development of Agro & Allied Food Products Processing Industries

Two Days National Workshop/Seminar on Development of Agro & Allied Food Products Industries under Udyam Sammagam was organised on 22.02.2019 & 23.02.2019 at Th. Yugraj Singh P.G. College, Shanti Nagar, G.T. Road, Fatehpur. The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri Rameshwar Dubey, Regional Director, National Productivity Council, Kanpur and Shri U.C. Shukla, Dirctor, MSME-DI, Kanpur presided over the programme.

During his inaugural address, Shri Rameshwar Dubey told about the usage of Quality techniques and quality management viz. Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management (TQM), 5S, for food industry. By using these techniques, the industries may enhance of their productivity.

During technical session, Shri Shakti Vinay Shukla, Director, FFDC, Kannauj motivated to the gathering to come forward for setting up industry in the field of fragrance and flavor. He also motivated the farmers of district Fatehpur to grow cash crops like Lemon grass, Aloevera as

raw material for fragrance and flavor industry and to undergo necessary training at FFDC, Kannauj for getting inputs for growing these crops. Dr.Ram Singh Umrao, Professor, Chandra Shekhar Azad Agriculture University, Kanpur delivered his lecture on beneficiary farming of different species of flowers alongwith latest techniques of Honey Bee production, Ayurvedic Medicinal plants, which may be grown by the farmers of Fatehpur in their farms.

Smt. Deepti, Scientist, Indian Standard Bureau delivered her talk on Standards used in Food Sector. Dr. Sadhna Vaishya, Incharge Scientist of Agriculture Science Centre, Fatehpur brifed about the facilities providing by this centre to farmers. Shri Iqbal Khan, Branch Manager, HDFC Bank told about the financial support given by HDFC Bank for for preparing feasibility project Report related to food processing unit. Shri Brijendra Kumar Sharma, Abhihit Adhikari, Food Security Department discussed about the mandatory License for setting up of food processing unit.

Shri Shailendra Kumar Suman, Incharge EPIDA & HOPED, U.P. Lucknow delivered presentation on opportunities of the export and international standards for food processing Industry. Shri Kamar Ajaj, Export Trade Development Officer from Export Trade & Directorate discussed about documentation and process for export. Shri B.K.Singh, Branch Manager and Shri Swadesh Deepak, Assistant Manager, from Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) brifed about the Insurance Security of Producer of the Product. Smt. Neha Singh, Assistant Manager, District Industry Centre, Fatehpur delivered a talk on schemes run by State govt. Shri P.K. Srivastava Asstt. Director (Food), MSME-DI, Kanpur delivered a lectore on Kishan Sampada Yojna run by Food Processing Ministry,Govt. of India and U.P. Food Processing Policy 2017.

Total 243 participants attended the workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Shri Amit Bajpai, Asstt. Director (Elect.).

d. Awareness Workshop on GeM

One day Awareness Workshop on Government e-Marketing (GeM) and Goods and Service Tax (GST) under Udyam Sammagam was organised on 23.02.2019 at Th. Yugraj Singh P.G. College, Shanti Nagar, G.T. Road, Fatehpur. Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-Development Institute, Kanpur presided over the programme. During his address to the participants, he emphasized the objective of Government e-Marketing and urged to take benefits from the programme.

During the technical session, Shri Praveen Badhwani, Nodel Advisor of U.P. delivered the presentation on GeM and seller registration procedure on GeM Portal viz. User ID Creation of Password, Update of profile, Bank details, Catalog management ,Order processing procedure etc. Shri S.K. Pandey, Asstt. Director Nodel Officer of GeM of MSME-DI, Kanpur delivered a talk on related document viz. PAN No. of Entrepreneurs, Udyam Aadhar Memorandums (UAM), Last three years acknowledgement of ITR,Details of Bank Account,Name of Products and Specification etc. for registration on GeM Portal.

Shri R.K. Prakash, Consultant, MSME-DI, Kanpur informed the procedure of registration of Center Goods and Services Tax. The queries related to GeM and GST raised by participants also resolved by experts. Total 122 participants attended the programme. The programme was coordinated by Shri S.K. Pandey Asstt. Director (Food).

3.2.2. Udyam Samaagam at Kanpur

The three days Udyam Sammagam -Cum- Industrial Exhibition was organised in association with Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. from 06.03.2019 to 07.03.2019 at MSME-DI, Kanpur. Shri Satya Dev Pachauri, Hon‟ble Cabinet Minister Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, Textile, MSME and Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P. was the Chief Guest of Inaugural function of Udyam Samaagam-cum- Industrial Exhibition.

During the Samaagam, following programmes were organized :

a. National Vendor Development Programme (NVDP) b. National Workshops/Seminars on Public Procurement Policy c. National Workshops/Seminars on Business and Manufacturing Process Development of Leather Sector d. Awareness Workshop on Government E-Marketing (GeM)

National Vendor Development Programme under Udyam Samaagam was organized in association with with Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. and Indian Industries Association (IIA), Kanpur Chapter from 06.03.2019 to 07.03.2019 at MSME-DI, Kanpur. Shri Satya Dev Pachauri, Hon‟ble Cabinet Minister Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, Textile, MSME and Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P. inaugurated the function. During inaugural address, Hon'ble Minister, appreciated the efforts made by MSME-DI Kanpur to organize such type of event. This Institute has provided a common plateform for Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),

Universities and R& D Institutions, Govt. Departments to address the challenges and their solutions of MSME sector. Such types of programmes are very helpful for development of MSME Sectors. He also inaugurated Industrial Exhibition and interacted one to one stall to know their interest to participate in said exhibition.

Shri Sudheer Garg, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, New Delhi graced the occasion as a special Guest and addressed to the gathering. During his address, he told that Minsitry of MSME, Govt. India, is investing Rs 600 Crores to establish 120 nos. Technology Centre in India by looking technology advancement. Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-DI welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries at the inauguration of Udyam Samaagam and briefed the aims and objective of the Exhibition with special emphasis on Public Procurement Policy Order.

There were 110 Stalls put up by both MSMEs (71 stalls) & PSUs / Govt. Departments/Financial Institutions (39 stalls). Business commitments to the tune of Rs. 100 Crore were made during the exhibition. A sum of Rs. 1,89,500 /- was earned as revenue. The programme was coordinated by Shri LBS Yadav Dy. Director (Chem.).

b. National Workshop/Seminar on Public Procurement Policy (PPP)

National Workshop/Seminar on Public Procurement Policy under Udyam Sammagam was organised on 06.03.2019 & 07.03.2019 at MSME-DI, Kanpur. The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri Vinay Kumar, Additional Commissioner Industries, Directorate of

Industries, Govt. of U.P. and Shri U.C. Shukla, Dirctor, MSME-DI, Kanpur presided over the programme. Shri Ajay Bajpai Dy. Director (Electx.) welcomed all the dignaries at the Workshop.

During inaugural address, Shri Vinay Kumar informed about Uttar Pradesh Public Procurement Policy 2014 and Delayed Payment. He also added in his address that Govt of U.P. is also preparing to amend in the policy as per Central Government Public Procurement Policy.

Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-DI, Kanpur addressed the gathering and briefed about the amended Public Procurement Policy. He told that the target of public procurement has enhanced from 20% to 25% and reseved procurement of 4% from MSEs owned by SC/ST and 3% from MSEs owned by Women entrepreneurs. Cental Procuring Agencies need sustained efforts to achieve these targets.

During technical session, Shri Sarveshwar Shukla, Joint Commissioner (Industry), Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. briefed about MSME Policy 2017 of Govt. of U.P and discussed the benefit of the schemes. He also highlighted the importance of the U.P.‟s One District One Product Scheme. Shri S.S. Meena, Works Manager, Ordnance Equipment Factory (OEF) , Kanpur delivered presentation on Defence Procurement Manual-2018 and process of vendor registration and products which can be procured by OEF, Kanpur from MSME sector.

Shri Ashish Daden, Dy. General Manmager, GAIL Pata delivered his presentation on process of vendor registration and products which can be procured by GAIL Pata from MSme sector. He also requested to MSEs for vendor registration in GAIL, Pata. Shri Udayvir, Dy. General Manmager, Power Grid, Lucknow informed about the items which are procuring from Power Grid Corporation, Lucknow.

Shri Kailash Nath, Dy. General Manager, Hindustan Aeronautic Limited (HAL), Kanpur informed that there is immense opportunity for the MSEs in HAL, Kanpur. He briefed about the process of vendor registration and shown the list of items which can procure from MSME Sector by HAL Kanpur. Shri Rishiraj, Procurement Officer, ALIMCO, Kanpur told about the research being done by ALIMCO for the development of products such as Motorized Tri cycle, Wheel Chair, Brail Kit, Solar charged Battery operated Try Cycle etc. he also discussed about process of vendor registration and products which can be procured by ALIMCO, Kanpur from MSME Sector.

Dr. Dinesh Singh, Scientist, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants,(CIMAP) Lucknow delivered a talk on advance technologies developed by CIMAP,

Lucknow for MSEs. Shri Sanjay Nigam, Dy. CMM , Modern Coach Factory Raiabareli informed about the existing scenaraio of MCF, Raebareli and delivered presentation on process of vendor registration and products which can be procured by MCF, Raebareli from MSMEs. He also invited MSEs to associate with MCF to supply of roof assembling AC units, Disc Brake system, water tank, sheet, and FRP panels etc. used in coaches. Shri Shivam Yadav, representative, MSME TC( IDTR) Kanpur briefed about the specialized training programmes on AUTO CAD/ CAM being organized by MSME TC- Kanpur. Shri R.K Prakash, Consultant briefed about the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yog Maan Dhan Pension Yojana implemented for the benefit of people of unorganized sector.

c. National Workshop/Seminar on Business and Manufacturing Process Development of Leather Sector

National Workshop/Seminar on Business and Manufacturing Process Development of Leather under Udyam Sammagam was organised on 07.03.2019 at MSME-DI, Kanpur. The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri U.C. Shukla, Dirctor, MSME-DI, Kanpur. During his inaugural address, he told that the leather industries, who will adopt Waterless Chrome Tannning Technology and Zero Liquid Discharge Leather Technology, will be facilitated by this institute.

During the technical session, Ms. Pallavi Dubey, Regional Director, Council for Leather Export (CLE), Central Region, Kanpur delivered her talk on export scenario of Leather Industry and future projections for Leather Sector. Shri Gagandeep Singh, Dy. Director General, DGFT, Kanpur delivered presentation on export procedures & documentation for leather industry. Shri Sanatan Shahu, Director, CFTI, Agra explained in details on future of footwear industries and leather footwear industries.

Dr. R.Aravindhan, Senior Scientist, CSIR-CLRI, Chennai delivered a lecture on manufacturing of leather by Waterless Chrome Tanning Technology. During the lecture, he explained that no additional machinery are needed for implementing this technology. The solid waste generated after implementing this technology is less toxic compared to conventional technology. By using this technology, economical benefits can be enhaced. Shri Taj Alam, Managing Director, Kings International Ltd., Unnao delivered a talk on history of saddlery and Harness manufacturing in Kanpur. He also explained the future prospects of entrepreneurship and business development in this sector.

Shri Sundarapandiyan, Scientist, CLRI, Kanpur explained on Zero Liquid Discharge Laeather Technology and also informed that there is only 5 leather units in India which are using ZLD Technology While only 1 leather unit in Ethopia adopted ZLD.

Dr. Anil Mathur, Asstt. Environment Officer, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Controll Board, Kanpur, delivered lecture on Pollution Management in Tannery Clusters at Kanpur. Shri Venkaiya Vadlamudi, Program Manager – Solidaridad in his lecture explained about supply chain approach towards pollution management in Tannery Clusters at Kanpur. Shri Narsingh Sachan, Director, Sanghavi Shoe Accessories Pvt. Ltd., Agra delivered lecture on Role of lasts in shoe making.

Dr. Rameshwar Dubey, Regional Director, NPC, Kanpur delivered his lecture on Zero Defect – Zero Effect (ZED) Scheme and emphasized the importance of ZED Scheme for leather sector. Shri Pankaj K.Tyagi, Associate Professor, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU, Aligarh delivered a talk on Entrepreneurship in Indian Scenario specific context to Leather Sector. Shri Ram Singh, Lecturer, HBTU, Kanpur has delivered his presentation on Leather Industries 2025. Shri Satish Sharma, Faculty, NIFT, Raebareli delivered his talk on Creative Design in Leather Sector. Total 200 participants attended the programme. The programme was coordinated by Shri G. Velladuria, Dy. Director (L/F).

d. Awareness Workshop on GeM

One day Awareness Workshop on Government e-Marketing (GeM) and Goods and Service Tax (GST) under Udyam Sammagam was organised on 08.03.2019 at MSME-DI, Kanpur. Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-Development Institute, inaugurated the programme. During his inaugural address, he informed updated schemes viz. Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS), Technology Upgradation Scheme, run by Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India and also emphasized the objective of Government e-Marketing.

During the technical session, Shri Praveen Badhwani, Nodel Advisor of U.P. delivered the presentation on GeM and shared the data regarding Gem Portal. He informed that more than 845630 Products & 5970 services are available in the GeM Portal. More than 34074 Buyer and 207272 sellers have been registered on GeM portal. During his presentation he also gave a detailed presentation on seller registration procedure on GeM Portal viz. User ID Creation of Password, Update of profile, Bank details, Catalog management ,Order processing procedure etc.

Shri S.K. Pandey, Asstt. Director Nodel Officer of GeM of MSME-DI, Kanpur delivered a talk on related document viz. PAN No. of Entrepreneurs, Udyam Aadhar Memorandums (UAM), Last three years acknowledgement of ITR,Details of Bank Account,Name of Products and Specification etc. for registration on GeM Portal.

Dr. M. Naqvi, Professor, Virendra Swaroop Group of Institutions, Kanpur, Chaired the technical session. During his address, he explained about the challenges and Marketing opportunities for MSM Sector. He also told some fundamental formula for successful Marketing. Prof. Veenas Madan delivered his talk on Entrepreurship and motivated to women for becoming entrepreneur on the day of Internation Womens Day.

Shri Surendra Mohan Singh, Joint Commissioner, State Goods & Service Tax (SGST), Uttar Pradesh informed the procedure of registration of Goods and Services Tax. He also informed that GST Council is solving the issues faced by entrepreneurs by organising meeting on time to time.

The queries and doubts related to GeM and GST raised by participants also resolved by experts. Total 125 participants attended the programme. The programme was coordinated by Shri S.K. Agnihotri Asstt. Director (Chem.).

3.3 Block Level Programmes

MSME-DI, Kanpur organized Industrial Motivation Campaign- Cum- Product Demonstration programme at block level. The objective of programme was to popularize rural technologies developled by RuTAG centres and other institutions. During the Programme, Officers of this Institute, briefed about the schemes implemented by Ministry of MSME, Government of India, for setting up of new enterprises and promotion of existing enterprises. Scope for new enterprises and filing of UAM were also discussed among the participants. PMEGP, MUDRA, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana for availing loan by the unemployed youth for setting up their enterprises were also discussed. Rural Technologies developed by RuTAG Centres of IITs were also discussed in details amongst the participants.

During the Programme, 8 Household chemical items like Detergent Powder, Dish washing Powder, Liquid Detergent, Shampoo, White Floor Cleaner, Agarbatti and other perfumery products were demonstrated and discussed about its formulation and marketing aspects of the product to the participants. Officers of Block discussed about the schemes run by state government for the benefit of rural population specially unemployed youths.

Total 33 nos. of Programmes were organized at Block Level from June, 2018 to January, 2019 across districts of U.P. which come under the jurisdiction of this office. A total of 1886 prospective & existing entrepreneurs have attended the programme

3.4 GeM/UAM Registration Drive

This Institute organized Government e-Marketing (GeM) & Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAMs) drives in association with District Industries & Enterprise Promotion Centres (DIEPCs) at District Level. The objective of these drives to provide great plateform to boost the MSME sector. The MSMEs can bid for market tenders free of cost through the e- Procurement portal. This would allow MSMEs to actively participate in various Government Procurement programs. During the Drive GOs related to GeM issued by U.P. Govt., Buyer Registration – Primary User Creation, Secondary User Creation (Buyer, Consignee, Paying Authority), Purchase methods like direct purchase, L1 purchase, Bidding & reverse Auction method discussed, Payment procedure, Terms & condition of bid discussed for Buyer Side. Seller Registration Process like- User creation and profile updation, catalog management product, general management product, golden information, catalog information, offering quantity & price, product specification, upload image etc. discussed for Seller Side. Udyog Aadhar Registration was also discussed during the Programme.

3.5 MSME Support and Outreach Programme

A campaign was launched by Hon‟ble Prime Minister in 100 Districts of the country for strengthening the eco-system of the MSMEs. In camps, the focus was given on access to credit, psbloansin59minutes.com, easing of cash cycles, Insurance, access to markets etc. Out of 100 districts, 09 Districts are covered in Uttar Pradesh. Out of 09 District of Uttar Pradesh, 02 districts i.e. Kanpur Nagar and Unnao which comes under the jurisdiction of MSME-DI, Kanpur, where such camps were organized regularly on every Tuesday and Friday from dated 13-11-2018 to 28- 12-2019. In Kanpur district, 19 camps were organized in association with MSME-DI, Kanpur mostly at Institute premises, whereas 31 camps were organised in Unnao District. 3.6 Techno-Economic Feasibility Report on Khandsari Sugar & Jaggery (Gur)

Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, New Delhi, has assigned MSME- Development Institute, Kanpur to prepare a detailed “Techno-Economic Feasibility Report on Khandsari Sugar & Jaggery (Gur)” in the month of April, 2018.

Director of the Institute constituted a Team of Officers of MSME-Development Institute, Kanpur. To collect the data and details of present status of MSMEs in the field of Khandsari Sugar/Jaggery (Gur) manufacturing and to have insight of issues related to the Policy, Technology, Finance, Testing, Product Development, Packaging, Skilling & Marketing and issues relating to Sugarcane Growers. The team visited important clusters of Khandsari and Jaggery in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and met Govt. Officers, Industry Associations, MSME Entrepreneurs and Sugar Cane Growers. The team also visited Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, New Delhi and had discussions at various levels.

The report was submitted to Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (MSME) on 25th July 2018. Later on Govt. of U.P has partially permitted Khandsari Sugar manufacturing units to use vacuum pan drying technology in their production process. The report is available at www.msmedikanpur.gov.in

3.7 Aspirational District (Fatehpur)

Government of India has identified 115 backward districts as aspirational districts for rapid transformation on the basis of certain criteria viz. Health, Education, Transport and also financial inclusion. Out of these 115 districts, the state of Uttar Pradesh has 8 districts viz. Fatehpur, Chitrakoot, Balrampur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Siddhatrh Nagar, Sonbadhra and Chandauli. Out of 8 districts of U.P., Fatehpur Districts comes under the jurisdiction of this office.

For the development of Fatehpur District, This Institute organised various programmes in association with State Industry Department, Local Administration, Industry Association, Local MSMEs and other important stake holder during the year 2018-19. From these activities, Fatehpur district has shown great initiative and displayed a qualitative jump in their scores between June and October 2018, has been dubbed as „Fast Movers District‟. In June 2018, the rank of Fatehpur was 82 while in October, 2018 the rank is 25 (According to Second Delta Ranking of the Aspirational District released by NITI Aayog).

Revenue generated from the mechanical workshop of this office was an amount of Rs. 3,00,859 during 2018-19. Apart from this, revenue is earned from technical training programmes including EAPs/ESDPs/MDPs & specialized training programmes on different topics under PD account, through seminar fees for participation in the awareness programmes, inspection charges for assessing the production capacity of the MSEs for Government Purchase Programme of NSIC, etc.

6.3.1 Awareness Workshop on Intelectual Property Rights at Unnao An Awareness Programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organised on 12.03.2019 in association with District Industry & Enterprises Promotion Center (DIEPC) Unnao, Cell for IPR Promotion & Management (CIPAM) DIPP Ministry of Commerce & Industry GoI, IPFC-FFDC Kannauj and Zari Zardoji Cluster, Unnao at Hotel Shiva Inn, Unnao.

During inaugural session, Sh. Ajay Bajpai Dy. Director MSME-DI, Kanpur focused about the importance of IPR for MSME sector. He also motivated the participants for adopting IPR as a business tool for enhancing their competitiveness globally.

During the Technical Session, Ms. Simrat Kaur, Expert from CIPAM, New Delhi deliberated about various tools of Intellectual Property Rights. She also gave detailed presentation on the various aspects of IPR like importance of Copyright, Trade Mark, procedure for getting Trade Marks, benefits of these marks. She also emphasised about the importance of IPR Tools for communicating the value of product or service in the market. Sh. Arun Kumar Singh, Expert from CIPAM, New Delhi discussed about various manifolds of Patents. During his deliberation he also told that an invention to become patentable subject matter must meet novelty, it should have inventive step or it must be non-obvious & should be capable of Industrial application.

Dr. B.V. Shukla, Asstt. Director, IPFC-FFDC, Kanpur Centre discussed about facilities being provided by FFDC to get Trademark, Patent, copyright etc. Ms. Zahira President Zari Zaridoji Cluster Unnao, focused on the importance of IPR tools for their adoption in the Zari Zardoji Cluster.

During Question Answer session experts from CIPAM, New Delhi, officers of MSME-DI, Kanpur and IPFC-FFDC, Kannauj cleared the doubts about the IPR as raised by the participants and settled their queries. Sh. A.K. Singh Asstt. Commissioner (Industries), Sh. S.K. Gangal Investigator (G&C), Ms. Zahira President Zari Zaridoji Cluster Unnao was prominently present during the programme. Total 61 entrepreneurs participated in the programme. The Programme was coordinated by Sh. Ajay Bajpai Dy. Director (Elex.).

6.3.2 Awareness Workshop on Intelectual Property Rights at Kanpur An Awareness Programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organised on 13.03.2019 in association with District Industry & Enterprises Promotion Center (DIEPC), Kanpur, Cell for IPR Promotion & Management (CIPAM), DIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GoI, IPFC-FFDC, Kannauj and Laghu Udyog Bharti, Kanpur Chapter at Auditorium Hall, MSME-DI, Kanpur premises.

During inaugural session of the programme, Shri U.C. Shukla, Director, MSME-DI, Kanpur discussed that in the changing global scenario the issues of IPR have gained special importance for MSME sector. Presently Indian industries, particularly the MSME are lagging behind in recognizing the importance of IPR and adopting IPR as a business tool for enhancing competiveness.

During the technical session of the programme, Ms. Simrat Kaur, Expert from CIPAM, New Delhi delivered presentation on various issues on IPR like importance of Copyright, Trade Mark, procedure for getting these marks, benefits of these marks. She also told that Trademarks are an important tool for communicating the value of product or service in the market; Trademarks are registered as per classes like Class 1 for Chemicals, Class 30 for Food items etc.

Sh. Arun Kumar Singh, Expert from CIPAM, New Delhi discussed about various aspects of Patents during his presentation. He told that an invention to become patentable subject matter must meet i) It should be novel. ii) It should have inventive step or it must be non-obvious. iii) It should be capable of Industrial application.

Dr. B.V. Shukla, Asstt. Director, IPFC-FFDC, Kanpur Center discussed about facilities available at FFDC to get Trademark, Patent etc. he also discussed the progress and achievements of IPFC-FFDC, Kannauj. During Question Answer session experts from CIPAM, New Delhi, officers of MSME-DI, Kanpur and IPFC-FFDC, Kannauj give answers to the participants about their queries.

6.4 National Workshop/Seminar on Emerging Trends in MSME Sector

This Institute organized National Workshop/Seminar on Emerging Trends in MSME Sector on 14th March, 2019 at CIPET, Lucknow in association with CIPET Lucknow and Amausi Industrial Association, Lucknow. The Programme was inaugurated by Dr. Rama Pati Tripathi, Dean NIPER, Raebareli & Ex. Scientist CDRI, Lucknow and. Shri A.K. Singh Chief Manager (PAF) & I/c CIPET, Lucknow presided over the inaugural session of the programme. Shri L.B.S.Yadav, Dy. Director MSME-Development Institute, Kanpur welcomed the Chief Guest and all the Dignitaries present in the programme. He also briefed about the theme of this National Workshop.

Shri Rajat Mehra, General Secretary, Amausi Industries Association Lucknow while addressing the participants briefed about the new dimensions applicable for the promotion of MSMEs. Industry 4.0, financial supports through online portal, new amendments in Public procurement Policy for Marketing support, Export Promotion, new formulations for increasing the quality of products & productivity of MSMEs and support for subsidy under technology upgradation schemes. He appreciated the efforts made by the MSME DI, Kanpur and requested the participants to avail the maximum benefits of this occasion.

Shri A.K. Singh Chief Manager (PAF) & I/c CIPET, Lucknow briefed that now days both Central and State Govts. have implemented many schemes for the MSMEs and they have several opportunities to flourish up to any extent in his secotor. CIPET is serving the existing entrepreneurs by providing the technological inputs to improve the design of plastic products. It also motivates the prospective entrepreneurs to set up their startups and avail the benefits applicable by the Govts. CIPET will also assist prospective entrepreneur for setting up their Plastic and other related business.

Shri P.K Wadhwani Nodal officer GeM, Govt. of U.P delivered the lecture on importance of GeM for MSMEs and its registration process. He informed that now days all Govt. Departments are compelled to made their all purchases through GeM portal. He also briefed in detail the registration procedure for sellers in GeM portal and cleared the doubts of the participants.

Dr. Rama Pati Tripathi from NIPER Raebareli delivered the lecture on opportunity in Pharmaceutical and Education industry. Dr.Tripathi shared his vast experience to the audience and motivated them to get involved in Entrepreneurship as govt. has implemented many schemes for the promotion of MSMEs.

Shri Ashutosh Srivastava , Asstt. Commissioners from DIEPC, Lucknow delivered the lecture on State Govt. Industrial Policy of U.P. He also highlighted the salient features of the PMEGP and Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarojgar Yojna for starting of the manufacturing and service industries.

Shri Umesh Chandra Dy. Commissioner, Export Promotion Bureau, Kaisharbag, Lucknow discussed in details the scope of Exports of the products being manufactured by the MSMEs in U.P. He also briefed the Export documentation process and other necessary requirements for starting the export.

Shri Vivek Kumar, Officer, CIPET Lucknow told that CIPET is one of the leading Institutes in the field of Plastic Research and Development. MSMEs can avail the testing facilities available at the Institute. Shri Gyanendra Gupta, Training Officer, CIPET Lucknow briefed about activities carried out in CIPET. He requested to the participants to attend the short duration training programmes specially designed for Industries.

Shri S.K.Agnihotri, Asstt. Director, MSME-DI, Kanpur discussed in details the Schemes implemented by the Ministry of MSME such as CLCSS and Technology upgradation (CLCSS, LEAN, ZED, Digital MSMEs, Design support to MSMEs, Incubation and IPR), Procurement and Marketing Support & Public Procurement Policy -2012 under which 25 % min. purchase target (3 % for women entrepreneurs) has been fixed by the Govt. of India to all the Central ministries/ Departments including CPSEs. He told that collective efforts to be made for MSEs owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs to come forward to fill the gap of assigned target 4%.

During the Programme, Shri P.K.Srivastava, Asstt. Director, MSME-DI, Kanpur, Shri Shubhas Chand, Investigator, MSME-DI, Kanpur and Shri A.K.Khare, Training and Placement Officer, CIPET, Lucknow also extended their support for organizing the programme successfully. Total 98 85 participants attended the programme. The Programme was coordinated by Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem.).

MSE- CDP SCHEME

This office is in close liaison with the State Government industrial department for identification of the clusters in the jurisdiction of Kanpur and intervention in them through MSE-CDP scheme. The details of the clusters under considerations are as under:-

A) Common Facility Centre Final Approval

The said cluster has been finally approved with following details:

(i) Contribution of Central Government : Rs. 178.78 Lakh (ii) Contribution of State Government : Rs. 22.42 Lakh (iii)Contribution of SPV : Rs. 22.98 Lakh

Total Project Cost : Rs. 224.18 Lacs.

Present Status:

Building of the CFC being built by Uttar Pradesh Small Industries Corporation Ltd.(UPSIC) is under construction. It is expected to get completed by the month of May 19. Parallely the procedure for the purchase of the Plant & Machinery for the CFC has been initiated by the State Government.

B) Common Facility Centre In Principal Approval

Lalitamba Textile Cluster, Pvt. Ltd., Rooma, Kanpur

The said cluster has been in principally approved with following details:

(i) Contribution of Central Government : Rs. 1350 Lakh (ii) Contribution of State Government : Nil (iii)Contribution of SPV : Rs. 326.07 Lakh

Total Project Cost : Rs. 1676.04 Lakh.

Present Status:

C) Proposal was placed in the 46th SCM for final approval. The steering committee after deliberation hold the proposal, as State Govt. could not commit about its share. The proposal was placed in the state Level Project Steering Committee held on 18.04.18 in the chairmanship of The Director of Industries who in turn agreed for 9% of state Govt. Share, 10 % of SPV Share and Govt. of India share of 81%. Accordingly the SPV was advised by

the State Govt. to submit revised DPR which could be forwarded to O/o DC(MSME). Action pending at SPV/GM DIC Level.

Proposal was placed in the State Level Steering Committee held on 12.07.18 under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary (MSME). The proposal was approved by the chairman for forwarding it to O/o DC(MSME) for getting its principal approval. It was advised by the committee to the SPV to prepare final DPR in consultation with EDI Gorakhpur, DIEPC Gorakhpur & MSME-DI Kanpur and submit it to the State Government for further forwarding it to Hqtrs. SPV is in process of final submission of the DPR.

E) Common Facility Centre- Proposed Clusters

Chikenkari Cluster, Lakhimpur

The said cluster has been proposed by the State Govt. for its approval:

Industrial Estate at Banthar, District Unnao & Industrial Estate at Kursi Road, District Barabanki over the official MSE-CDP Portal. c) The Institute organized Special Udyuog Aadhar Memorandum (UAM) registration drive for Hand Made Paper units on 07.01.2019 at Handmade Paper Cluster, Kalpi. MSME TECHNOLOGY CENTRE (MSME-TC) – KANPUR

MSME Technology Centre (MSME-TC) Kanpur is one of the 15 new Technology Centres being set up as a part of the Technology Centre System Program (TCSP), under Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Indo Danish Tool Room, Jamshedpur is the Mentor TC for new Technology Centre Kanpur.

MSME Technology Centre, Kanpur has started short term training programme from 24.12.2018. The First Batch started for short term course on Auto CAD. Total 93 candidate submitted their application for training with great enthusiasm while, Only 84 candidates successfully completed their training course on 23 January 2019. The duration of short term training programme is 96 Hourse. The second batch started from 24.01.201, 18 candidated registered in the traing and successfully completed their traing. 10.1 Meetings attended during 2018-19 are detailed below:

A. Meetings attended by Director of the Institute:

1. Director along with Sh. Rajesh Kumar Dy. Director participated in the Conference of all DIs/TCs and TRs on 16th & 17th April, 2018 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. During the conference, different topics viz. IIP-MSME, Data & Statistics for MSMEs, Promotional Activities in the Aspirational Districts, Integration of Indian SMEs with Global and regional value change, SWOT for MSME Sector, Public Procurement Policy, Access to Financial Services, Technology for MSMEs, Digital MSME, SME Manufacturing, Accounts & Budget Management, Promotion and Development of Micro Enterprises, Convergens & Initiative and Innovation in MSMEs were discussed. Hon‟ble Minister of State MSME (Independent Charge) Shri Giriraj Singh delivered valedictory speech at the programme.

2. Director along with Sh. Rajesh Kumar Dy. Director participated Udyami Samvad Workshop organised on 18.04.2018 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Hon‟ble Minister of State MSME (Indepent Charge) Shri Giriraj Singh delivered valedictory speech at the programme.

3. Director along with a team of officers comprising Sh. LBS Yadav DD (Chem.), Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) and Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) visited M/s Gupta Cottage Udyog, Village-Ghoomchini Post- Kala Aam, District-Lakhimpur Kheri on 07.04.2018 and detailed study was done of the unit. Officers of this Institute and Mr. Som Agarwal, Prop. of above unit, Shri Ved Prakash Agarwal, a member of Khandsari Association, Shri Rajesh Verma, Assistant Sugar Commissioner, Sitapur and Khandsari Adhikari of Sitapur & Lakhimpur Region had detailed discussion about the problems faced both by Khandsari Units & sugarcane growers. It was found that it is one of the area which is providing huge employment both direct & indirect in rural sector. Some Khandsari sugar units‟Owners informed that non-authorization for the use of vacuum pan drying causes less recovery and increase in cost of production.

4. Director along with Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx) and Sh. S.K. Pandey AD (Food) attended Seminar on Food Processing destination in Uttar Pradesh organised by Ministry of Food Processing Industries on 23.04.2018 at Chitrakoot. The Chief Guest of the programme was Hon‟ble Minister of State Ministry of Food Processing Industries Govt of India Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti ji. Dr. Dharmendra Singh Gangwar, IAS, Addl. Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India briefed about different schemes operated by M/o Food Processing. Other dignitaries Smt. Archana Agrawal, IAS, Joint Secretary, M/o. Power Govt of India also elaborated scope of medicinal plant in the Chitrakoot reigon. Shri Vishakh G. IAS, , Chitrakoot welcome dignitaries present in the Seminar. Shri Bhairo Prasad Mishra, M.P. Chitrakoot , Shri Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay, MLA, Sadar, & Shri R.K.Singh Patel, MLA Chitrakoot told about scope of organic food processing industries in Chitrakoot region. 5. Director along with other officers of the Institute and committee members had a meeting on 13.04.2018 at Director‟s Chamber regarding approval of MSE unit for participation in Domestic Trade Fair at Mumbai from 3-6, May 2018.

6. Director had a meeting with local Industries Association on 25.06.2018. During the meeting, importance of Udyam Sangam, observation of MSME Day, Swachhata etc. were discussed. Shri Sunil Vaishya, National President IIA, Shri Ladli Prasad, Convener Laghu Udyog Bharti, Shri Manoj Banka, State President PIA, Shri Naveen Khanna, Ex. President U.P. Buiscuit Manufacturer Association, Shri Manmohan Rajpal, IIA, Shri Alok Agarwal, President IIA Kanpur Chapter, Shri Balram Narula IIA AND Shri Brajesh Awasthi, PIA Kanpur were present during the meeting.

Director along with team of officers actively participated in Udyam Sangam 2018 organised by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) on June 27, 2018 to celebrate the 2nd United Nations Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day. The function was inaugurated by Hon‟ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. On this occasion, he also launched the Mission Solar Charkha and MSME Sampark Portal.

10. Director along with Shri Rajesh Kumar Dy. Director (IMT) & Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) attended Launch Programme on the special Package for Leather & Foot wear IFLADP (2017-20) along with the Director & Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD(IMT) at Allen House College, Kanpur on 03.07.2018. Sh. Yogi Aditya nath Hon‟ble C.M. of U.P. & Sh. Suresh Prabhu, Hon‟ble Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, were present during the programme.The programme was organised by CLE, Kanpur. 11. Hon‟ble President of India was the chief guest of the Programme. Shri Ram Mohan Mishra IAS, AS & DC (MSME), New Delhi also addressed the summit during technical session on Credit and Finance and also during the valedictory function of the programme. Ms. Mandeep Kaur IAS, JDC O/o DC(MSME), New Delhi also participated in the summit.

14. Director along with a team of officers apprised Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Hon‟ble Member of Parliament Kanpur about progress of MSME Technology Centre, Kanpur during his visit of the project site on 16.08.2018.

Director participated in Seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights in Innovation Management” as a Chief Guest organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Integral University, Kursi Road, Lucknow on 02.08.2018 at Central Library, Integral University, Kursi Road, Lucknow. Dr. Mandira Roy & Shri Sandeep Agarwal delivered the lectures on the topic. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) also participated in the seminar.

16. One to One meeting with Shri Ladli Prasad of Laghu Udyog Bharti and Shri Balram Narula of Hosiery Association with Central GST Department was arranged in the Director‟s Chamber on 01.08.2018 in which apart from the Director Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) and Shri R.K. Prakash, Consultant were also present. During the meeting issues relating MSMEs were discussed at length which were likely to apprise to Finance Minister Govt. of India. 17. Director along with Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) and Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) participated in Video Conference organised by Ministry of MSME on 06.09.2018 at NIC Kanpur Nagar. Dr. A.K. Panda IAS, Secretary MSME, GOI, interacted with all MSME- DIs. The VC was focused on MSE-CDP, GeM/UAM/GST drives with special emphasis on Aspirastional Districts.

18. Director participated in Seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights in Innovation Management” as Chief Guest organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Ambalika Institute of Management & Technology, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow on 24.09.2018 at Auditorium Hall, Ambalika Institute of Management & Technology, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow. Shri Sandeep Agarwal, Director Adastra IP, New Delhi delivered the lectures on the topic. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) also participated in the seminar.

19. Director along with Shri LBS Yadav and Shri Neeraj Kumar participated in Monthly Meeting of MSME-DI, KVIC, NSIC and Coir Board on 28.09.2018 at KVIC, Lucknow. The focus of the meeting was to provide hand-holding support to PMEGP Beneficiary Units. It was decided that after KVIC confirms its jurisdictional areas the districts will be allocated to the departments for providing hand-holding support.

21. Director of the institute chaired a meeting with Small Tanners Association on Waterless Chrome tanning at the Office premises on 11.10.2018. During the meeting, Dr. Madhan, Senior Scientist, Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai delivered a lecture on process of Waterless Chrome Tanning. Shri G. Velladurai DD (L/F) and Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) were also present in the meeting.

22. Director along with Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) attended meeting with District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar on 21.10.2018 at D.M. Office, Kanpur regarding Progress Review of MSME Technology Centre (Tool Room). TCS & KCPL representatives gave the presentation on progress of Tool Room.

31. Director along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) attended meeting on 06.12.2018 at Lucknow called by Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon‟ble Union Minister of State (I/c) for MSME, GoI, for the officers of Ministry of MSME offices. Hon‟ble Minister suggested to work on the projects related to the rural sector to increase the income of people living in villages.

32. Director along with Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) visited Construction Site of CFC for Zari Zardoji Cluster, Unnao on 10.12.2018 and reviewed the progress of the Site. Director also had a meeting with Dy. Commissioner, DIEPC, Unnao and Stake holder of Zari Zardozi Cluster. During the meeting, Director advised to Dy. Commissioner for initiation the steps for parallel purchase of Plant and Machinery for the Cluster in order to complete the project well in time.

More than 200 sanction letters under PSB loans in 59 Minutes and Mudra Yojana were given by different Banks to entrepreneurs of MSMEs for the betterment of their enterprises. More than 350 participants attended the workshop.

37. Director along with Shri Rajesh Kumar, AD (Chem.) facilitated various work related to start of Onsite Training Programmes by MSME-Technology Centre, Kanpur and participated in the programmes commenced on 24.12.2018. Total 82 participants in five different batches took admission for training programmes.

Shri K.Ravindra Naik, IAS discussed about „Nivesh Mitra‟ and other State Govt. Schemes for MSME Sector.

3. Sh. Amit Bajpai had a meeting with Ms Pallavi Dubey, Regional Director, CLE, Kanpur on 16.04.2018 regarding participation of Exporting units of leather sector in International SME Convention.

5. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Shri Chandan AD (IMT) participated in Vendor Meet organised by MCF, Raebareli on 08.05.2018 at Collectorate Fatehur. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) delivered lecture on MSME Scheme at the programme. Hon‟ble Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti inaugurated the programme. Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary MSME, Shri Kumar Prashant IAS, District Majistrate, Ms. Ashima Jain IAS SP Fatehpur and Senior Officers from MCF Raebareli were prominently presentin the programme. 9. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.)visited Merchants Chamber of UP, Kanpur on 04.05.2018 and had a meeting with Sh Arvind Sinha, Secretary, Merchants Chamber of UP, Kanpur regarding comments from exporting units & Industry Association on India – Peru & India – Brazil Free Trade Agreement.

10. Sh. LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) and Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended review meeting on ODOP of Faizabad district chaired by Shri Navneet Sehgal, Principal Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board, Govt. of U.P. on 29.05.2018 at Collectorate, Fatehpur organised by DIEPC, Faizabad. The Jaggery (Gur) product has been selected under ODOP Scheme for the district Faizabad. During the meeting, Principal Secretary noticed the issues of this sector and suggested a road map for the promotion of above sector.

11. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) attended U.P. State Level Steering Committee Meeting for Cluster on 18.06.2018 at U.P. Export Promotion Bureau Lucknow under the chairmanship of Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar IAS, Secretary, MSME Govt. of U.P. and in the presence of Shri K. Ravindra Naik IAS, Commissioner & Director of Industries U.P.. During the meeting the various proposals of proposed cluster under MSE-CDP Scheme and review of ID, projects of U.P were made.

12. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended review meeting on ODOP at Circuit House, Kanpur on 13.06.2018 chaired by Sh. Mukul Singhal, Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt. of U.P. organised by DIEPC, Kanpur. During the

meeting demand of Design Studio, Trained design man power, CETP Plant maintenance, various issues of CPCB & UPPCB were raised by tannery industrialists. D.M. Kanpur Sh. Surendra Singh also briefed about various development in pollution control measures. During the meeting representatives of Nagar Nigam, Kanpur, U.P. Pollution Control Board, CLE, UP Jal Nigam, Govt. Leather Institute were also present.

13. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) had a meeting with Shri Santosh Kumar Sharma, Commissioner Kanpur Nagar Nigam, regarding developing of Green Belt in front of MSME- Development Institute Kanpur and had discussions regarding adopting toilet near Mariyampur Hospital for the current financial.

14. Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended meeting on ODOP at DIEPC, Kanpur on 11.06.2018 chaired by Sh Sarveshwar Shukla, Jt. Commissioner (Industries), DIEPC, Kanpur. During the meeting representatives of different leather associations raised their problems regarding pollution, skilled man power etc.

15. Shri Rajesh Kumar Dy. Director (IMT), Shri Chandan, AD (IMT), Shri S. K. Gangal, Inv. (G&C) had a meeting with BDO Akbarpur Block, Kanpur, wherein itt was decided to conduct a demonstration based programme on 03.07.2018 at Akbapur Block.

17. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. S.K. Pandey AD (Food) attended State Level Steering Committee Meeting held on 12-07-2018 at Export Promotion Office, Lucknow under the chairmanship of Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS, and Principal Secretary (MSME).

18. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) attended Cluster Meeting with Shri Sarveshwar Shukla, Joint DI DIEPC, Kanpur Nagar and Stakeholders of Lalitamba Textile Cluster Pvt. Ltd on 29.08. 2018 at DIEPC, Kanpur Nagar. During the meeting potential for finding out new SPV Members for final approval of above said cluster was discussed.

Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) participated in meeting for the selection of State Export Award for the year 2018-19 organised by Export Promotion Bureau, Govt. of U.P., Lucknow on 28.09.2018 at Export Bhawan, Lucknow. The meeting was chaired by Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar IAS, Secretary MSME, Govt. of U.P. Total 122 nos. of applications received for the award in which 9 nos. of applications were incomplete and 4 nos. of applications were ineligible.

25. Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) participated in meeting as a committee member on Improvement in Field Distillation Unit for Essential Oils on 27.09.2018 organised at Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow. Dr. Alok Kalra, Chief Scientist, CIMAP, Lucknow, Shri Sudeep Tandon, Sr. Principal Scientist, CIMAP, Lucknow and Shri S.V. Shukla , Director FFDC, Kannauj were present in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting that CIMAP will provide details of technologies developed by them in Field Distillation Unit for Essential Oils along with their commercial aspects within 10 days from the date of meeting.

26. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) organised a meeting on „Lean Manufacturing Scheme‟ at Zari Zardoji Cluster, Unnao on 11.09.2018. During the meeting the benefits of the scheme were discussed.

27. Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Shri R.K. Prakash Consultant participated in Meeting of Standing Committee on MSME Accounts under MSME CAP (Corrective Action Plan) organised by Canara Bank, Lucknow on 27.09.2018. During the meeting the cases of M/s Bhagwati Palace (Sri Bhupendra Pratap Srivastava) and M/s Key Locks (India) were discussed.

28. Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) participated in Town Hall Meeting organised by Reserve Bank Of India, Lucknow on 26.09.2018 at Hotel Land Mark, Kanpur. Regional Director RBI, Lucknow, Regional Director RBI, Kanpur and General Manager SIDBI, Lucknow were prominently present in the meeting.

30. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. S.K. Pandey AD (Food) attended „State Level Review Meeting‟ on 20.09.2018 at BIDA, Bhadohi. The meeting was chaired by Shri R.K. Rai, Direcor (Cluster Development) O/o DC(MSME), GOI, New Delhi. During the meeting, proposals of Tericotta Cluster, Gorakhpur , Zari Zardozi, Cluster Unnao, Glass Beads Cluster, Varanasi, Silk Weaving & Designing Cluster, Varanasi, and Status of Carpet Backing Cluster, Bhadohi were discussed. Shri Pushkar Srivastava CEO, BIDA , Shri Umesh Singh JDI Varanasi & other officers and officials of DIEPC Bhadohi, Sonebhadra, Vidhyachal & Allahabad Division were also present in the meeting.

31. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Shri S.K. Pandey AD (Food) attended a meeting on „The progress of ongoing & proposed Cluster Projects in the jurisdiction of MSME-DIs‟ at Branch MSME-DI Varanasi on 19.09.2018. The meeting was chaired by Sh. S.K. Rai, Director (CD) O/o DC(MSME), GOI, New Delhi. 32. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) visited DIEPC Faizabad on 10.09.2018 and met Sh. Ashutosh Singh, Asstt. Commissioner I/c, (Industry) and discussed about potential clusters of Faizabad district. During the meeting Sh. Singh told that they are in the process of preparing DPR for Jaggery Cluster under ODOP and there is also possibility of Readymade Garment Cluster.

33. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) visited DIEPC, Kanpur Nagar on 04.09.2018 and had a meeting with Sh. S.P. Yadav, Asstt Commissioner regarding PMEGP & CMEGP Scheme of Govt. of U.P. for new budding entrepreneurs visited in EDC.

34. Sh. Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) along with Sh. Chandan AD (IMT) had a meeting at the office of Shri Ashok Kumar, Dy. Commissioner, DIEPC Fatehpur on 15.10.2018 to explore avenues for new clusters in the „Aspirational District‟ of Fatehpur. The identified industries proposed for potential clusters are Rice Milling and Iron Fabrication Works. Prominent Entrepreneurs belonging to these prospective clusters of Fatehpur were also present in the meeting.

35. Sh. Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) had a meeting with Shri K.K. Singh Joint Secretary, Kanpur Development Authority, Kanpur on 25.10.2018 and 30.10.2018 regarding Issuance of Permit No. and Approved Map.

36. Dr. Priyanka Singh Bhadouria AD (EI), visited NABARD, Regional Office, Lucknow on 26.10.2018 and had a meeting with Ms. Ajanta, Asstt. 40. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) attended steering committee meeting organised by IPFC at PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow on 25.10.2018. Meeting was chaired by Dr. H P Kumar, Advisor PHD CCI. During the meeting, discussions on how to create awareness about IPR amongst MSMEs and speedy registration of GIs in U.P.

41. Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) attended a meeting organised by News Paper for the Start up units.

42. A meeting was organised on Pharmaceutical Cluster (Ayush) at the Office Premises on 30.10.2018. During the meeting, the discussion were held on formation of SPV, Concept of CFC and guidelines of MSE-CDP Scheme. Total 25 nos. of entrepreneurs of Kanpur participated in the programme.

43. Shri S.K. Gangal Inv. (G&C) visited CSIR-CGCRI, Khurja, Distt. Bulandshahr on 29.10.2018 and had a meeting with Dr. L.K.Sharma, Scientist In Charge, CSIR-CGCRI, Khurja. Discussions were held over the development of Ceramics Fields.

44. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) participated in the VC of Hon‟ble Prime Minister on Strengthening of Ecosystem for MSMEs on 02.11.2018 at Govt. Inter College, Unnao. The programme was organised by Bank of India (Lead Bank), District Administration, Unnao and State Industry Department. Hon‟ble Minister of State, Food Processing Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Hon‟ble Speaker, U.P. Legislative Assembly Shri Hridaya Narain Dixit addressed the gathering as Special Guest. Approx. 5000 officers and entrepreneurs participated in the programme.

Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) along with Dr. Priyanka Singh Bhadouria AD (EI) participated in the VC of Hon‟ble Prime Minister on Strengthening of Ecosystem for MSMEs on 02.11.2018 at Kailash Bhawan, CSA University, Kanpur. The programme was organised by Bank of Baroda (Lead Bank), District Administration, Kanpur and State Industry Department. Hon‟ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri and Hon‟ble Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Mrs Anupriya Patel were Special Guests and addressed the gathering. Mrs Neelima Katiyar, Hon‟ble MLA, Shri Mahesh Trivedi, Hon‟ble MLA also graced the occasion. Shri Rajiv Agarwal, IAS Joint Secretary DIPP, Shri K. Ravinder Naik, IAS Commissioner & Director of Industries, Govt. of U.P., Kanpur and Dr. Ramjas Yadav, General Manager, Bank of Baroda, Kanpur also addressed the gathering. 46. Shri R.P. Chowdhary AD Gr.I (Mech.) along with Shri S.K. Gangal Inv. (G&C) attended Vendor meet cum Vendor Development Programme organized by NTPC, Dibyapur, Auraiya on 02.11.2018 at NTPC, Auraiya. During the Programme, Shri Choudhary delivered a Talk on Govt Purchase Program/PPP-2012 and requested to maintain transparency in all Contract/Tenders/Repairing works etc. 47. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended Kanpur MSME Summit 2018 at Hotel Regenta, Kanpur on 19.11.2018. The cheif Guest of the programme was Hon‟ble Minister of MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P. Sh Satya Deo Pachauri. About 100 MSMEs of Kanpur was attended the event. Sh. Ajay Bajpai also discussed of MSME Scheme amongst MSMEs.

48. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri attended State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meeting regarding the preparation in organizing MSME- Support and outreach programmes at Bank of Baroda House, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow on 12.11.2018 . The meeting was chaired by General Manager, Bank of Bardoda.

49. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) attended meeting with District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar on 10.11.2018 and 24.11.2018 at D.M. Office, Kanpur regarding Progress Review of MSME Technology Centre (Tool Room). TCS & KCPL representatives gave the presentation on progress of Tool Room.

50. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) visited KDA Kanpur on 26.11.2018 and had a meeting with Shri K.P.Singh, Secretary KDA Kanpur in connection with issuance of Approved Plan and Permit No. for MSME-TC, Kanpur. Shri Jyoti Prasad, Town Planner was also present in the meeting.

51. Shri S.K. Agnihotri attended Meeting of Bankers and other stakeholders regarding MSME- Support and Outreach Programme at Collectorate Office, Kanpur on 28-11- 2018. During the meeting, issues pertaining to improve the performance for PSB loans in 59 minutes programme were discussed.

52. Shri S.K. Agnihotri attended the State Level meeting for approval of cases under Technology Upgradation Scheme operated by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Total 41nos. of MSME units from the different districts of U.P. were given approval for the disbursement of Rs. 78.00 Lakh.

53. A meeting was organised with members of Ayurvedic products Manufacturing Units for setting up CFC under MSE-CDP on 20-11. 2018 at the Office Premises. During the meeting, They agreed to form SPV with 24 Nos. of its members. A space has been find out by members and the will be finalized very soon. Shri S.K. Pandey AD (Food) delivered a lecture on MSE-CDP Schemes. During the meeting, the different aspects of schemes viz. SPV Registration, Preparation of DPR and selection of machinery etc. were also discussed.

54. Shri Rajesh Kumar, AD (Chem.) along with Shri R.K. Prakash, Consultant visited Nagar Nigam, Kanpur and had a meeting with Shri S.K. Sharma, Commissioner, Nagar Nigam Kanpur in connection with shifting of Public Toilet and Kuda Ghar from the front of MSME-Technology Centre (Tool Room), Kanpur.

Prakash,Consultant visited Nagar Nigam Kanpur and had a meeting with Executive Engineers from, Nagar Nigam Kanpur in connection with shifting of Public Toilet and Kuda Ghar from the front of MSME- Technology Centre (Tool Room), Kanpur at the site. During the onsite meeting new place for Kuda Ghar was decided by the Nagar Nigam officials and also they said that they will be submitting the Estimate for construction of New Public Toilet against the Public Toilet in existence in front of MSME-TC, Kanpur.

56. Shri G.Velladurai DD(L/F) and Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) had a meeting with District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar on 24.12.2018 in respect of information about exact status of Leather Tanneries in Kanpur in respect of Clean Ganga Campaign in view of Kumbh Mela scheduled to be started from 15.01.2019. District Magistrate advised to collect the information from Regional Office, U.P. Pollution Control Board.

57. Sh. Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) attended the Empowered Committee Meeting on Micro Small and Medium Enterprises at Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow on 07.12.2018. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Ajay Kumar Regional Director, RBI, Lucknow.

58. Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) had a meeting with Shri Rameshwar Nath Mishra, Secretary, Kshetriya shree Gandhi Ashram on 13.12.2018 at Hazratganj, Lucknow in connection with to study the possible areas of intervention for the promotion of units working in Khadi sector.

59. Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) participated in the Meeting on Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for MSMEs organised by Canara Bank, Lucknow on 13.12.2018 at Circle Office Canara Bank, Vipin Khand, Lucknow. During the meeting, Corrective Action Plan for the rehabilitation of M/s Vikas Books Ltd. and M/s Ratan Prakashan Mandir both from Agra, were discussed and relief with certain conditions were granted to the above units.

60. Shri G. Velladurai DD (L/F) along with Shri S.K. Pandey AD (Food) and Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) visited Handmade Paper Cluster, Kalpi on 05.12.2018 and organised cluster meeting with stake holders. Sh N. K. Tiwari President Hand paper cluster kalpi elaborated about processing of Hand made paper and other related issues faced by units. During the discussion, details of MSE-CDP viz. Formation of SPV, Preparation of DPR , were discussed. Shri R.P Sangwar Asstt. Commissioner DIEPC, Jaluan and Shri S.C. Sharma Textile Inspector, Handloom UP Govt were also present.

61. Shri G. Velladurai DD(L/F) along with Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) visited UP Pollution Control Board, Kanpur and had a meeting with Shri Kuldeep Mishra, Regional Officer, UPPCB, Kanpur on 21.12.2018 and regarding issues faced by Leather Sector in Kanpur District and in respect of information about exact status of Leather Tanneries in Kanpur.

65. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) visited Vikas Bhawan, Barabanki to attend DLTFC meeting for screening of candidates of PMEGP scheme on 22.12.2018. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Anjani Kumar Singh, CDO/Barabanki. Jt. Commissioner (Industry) DIEPC, Lead District Bank Manager/ Bank of India, Asstt Director (KVIC), DVIO (KVIB), Representative of Polytechnic & ITI were present during the selection process. Total 29 & 97 candidates were called for interview by KVIC & KVIB respectively. Total 88 candidates attended the interview.

66. Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) attended the meeting on Technology up gradation on 16.01.2019 at DIEPC Unnao and visited three units of Technology Up gradation beneficiaries at Unnao.

1. Sh. R.P. Chowdhary AD Gr. I (Mech.) along with Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) visited M/s. Shriram Cane Crusher, Vill. Bidkhuri Post-Akaudi, Distt. Kanpur Dehat on 18.04.2018 for preparation of Techno-Economic Feasibility Report on Khandsari.

2. Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) along with Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) visited Cane Commissioner Office, Dali Bagh, Lucknow on 10.04.2018 to collect data regarding Sugarcane for preparation of Techno-Economic Feasibility Report on Khandsari.

3. Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) along with Sh. Chandan AD (IMT) visited Fatehpur on 20.04.2018 for market survey and data collection of beneficiaries from MUDRA Scheme & Stand-Up India Scheme.

4. Sh. LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Sh. P.K. Srivastava AD (Food) and Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) visited few units situated in various parts of Moradabad, Amroha and Bijnor districts on 19-20 April, 2018 and had a meeting with Association‟s Members of Khandsri & Gur units. During the meeting, the members of Khandsari Units reported that vacuum pan drying is essential for the revival of this sector. They also informed that Mandi Samiti Shulk which is charged @ Rs.2.50% of value of finished products should be abolished. Shri Manish Shukla, Assistant Sugar Commissioner of Moradabad & Shri Subhash Chand, Asstt. Sugar Commissioner of Bijnore and Amroha and officers of their departments were present during the discussion.

5. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) participated in the Workshop on „Making MSMEs Aware about Industry 4.0‟ organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce on 26.04.2018 at PHD House, Lucknow. Sh. Rajesh Kumar delivered a detailed presentation on MSME Schemes at the Workshop.

6. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.), Sh. P.K. Srivastava AD (Food) and Sh. Chandan, AD (IMT) participated in Seminar on Food Processing.. Destination Uttar Pradesh organised by Ministry of Food Processing & Industries at Collectorate Fatehur on 09.05.2018. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) delivered lecture on MSME Scheme at the programme. Dr. Atyanand , Dy. Secretary MoFPI, Shri Kumar Prashant IAS, District Majistrate, Ms. Ashima Jain IAS, SP Fatehpur and Mr. Jai Agarwal Past Chairman, CII, U.P. State Council were prominently present in the programme. More than 200 Farmers/ Entrepreneurs participated in the programme.

7. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) and Sh. P.K. Srivastava AD (Food) participated in Seminar on Food Processing.. Destination Uttar Pradesh organised by Ministry of Food Processing & Industries at Collectorate Hamirpur on 10.05.2018. Sh. Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) delivered lecture on MSME Scheme at the programme. Dr. Atyanand , Dy. Secretary MoFPI, Shri R.P. Pandey IAS, District Majistrate, Hamirpur ,Mr. Atul Mehra, Past Chairman, CII, U.P. State Council and CMD Tasty Dairy were prominently present in the programme. More than 250 Farmers/ Entrepreneurs participated in the programme. The team of officers also visited Dessi Jutti product selected under ODOP, Manufacturing units at Bharua Sumerpur, District Hamirpur. Total 16 Nos. of Entrepreneurs were manmufacturing the product. It was also informed by the artisans that some of them are manufacturing similar product at their place of residence.

8. Sh. LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) and officers from MSME-DI, Indore visited office of Sugar Commissioner, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 25.05.2018 and collected Policy related data of khandsari udyog of M.P.. The team of officers also visited few units situated in district Narsihpur and had meeting with Owners of khandsari industry and noted down the problems faced by them.‟

9. Sh. LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended a programme organised by Manyawar Kanshiram Govt. Polytechnic, Tirwa, Kannauj on 11.05.2018 and delivered lecture on MSME Schemes and entrepreneurship. Total 50 nos. of students participated the programme. The officers also visited DIEPC, Kannauj regarding various inputs on ODOP of Kannauj district and information about Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojna. 10. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. S.K. Pandey AD (Food) and Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) visited Dr. Banwari Lal Sewa Sansthan, Nigohan, Lucknow on 24.05.2018 regarding exploring the possibility of Readymade Garment Cluster at Nigoha. The team of officers also visited Zari-Zardogi Cluster, Unnao and met SPV members regarding present status of ongoing CFC.

11. Sh. S.K. Pandey AD (Food) attended seminar on Master Trainer Training on Ganga Haritma Programme organised by Forest & Wild Life, Govt of UP at Forest Training Center Kanpur. The Chief Guest of the Programme was Smt Renuka Kumar IAS, Principal Secretary, Forest & Wild Life briefed about objective of Ganga Haritma Programme and also motivated Farmers for Plantation of Medicinal plant near bank of Ganga. Other dignitaries like Shri Pawan Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator, Forest Reasearch Institute, Kanpur and Dr Saudan Singh, Scientist, CIMAP, Lucknow delivered their presentation about different varieties of Medicinal Plant to increase income of Farmers. Shri B.V. Shukla, Assistant Director, FFDC Kannauj, Extension Centre Kanpur discussed about Aromatic Plant Like Khas, Ashvgandha etc.

12. Sh. S.K. Pandey AD (Food) along with Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) visited state of Maharashtra from 07.05.2018 to 13.05.2018 regarding study report on Khandsari Sector. The team of officers visited office of Sugar Commissioner of Maharashtra and collected data like cultivation of sugarcane, licensing procedure, price policy for sugarcane of Maharashtra and other issues. Officers also visited few khandsari sugar and gur units situated in District Satara, Sangali and Kolhapur. In interaction with entrepreneurs noticed the issues pertaining to khandsari sector.

13. Sh. Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Sh. K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) and Sh. Rakesh Chandra Ex- AD (L/F) MSME-DI, Kanpur met various agencies related to leather cluster like CLE, CLRI, U.P. Pollution Control Board etc. and Associations/Entrepreneurs/Units related with leather cluster including tanning industries regarding adoption of Waterless Chrome Tanning Technology (WCTT), accordingly detailed report was prepared and sent to Hqtrs.

14. Sh. R.P. Chowdhary AD Gr.I (Mech.) along with Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) and Sh. S.K. Gangal Inv. (G & C) attended Bundelkhand Investors Summit organised by Bundelkhand Chamber of Commerce Jhansi & Team Innovation, Banda on 09.06.2018 at Maharani Laxmi Bai Para Medical College, Jhansi. Chief Guest of the event was Sushree Uma Bharti, Honb‟le Cabinet Minister, GOI, Sh. Satish Mahana, Hon‟ble Cabinet Minister, GoU.P. & Sh Manohar Lal Pant, Hon‟ble MOS GoU.P was Guest of Honour of

the event. During the event schemes of various departments of U.P. of Govt were discussed by the dignitaries in respect of Bundelkhand region like opportunities in Defence sector, Food Processing sector, Renewable Energy sector, MSME & ODOP, Tourism sector, ESDM sector, Agriculture cultivation etc.

15. Sh. Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended programme “Networking & B2B Meeting” organised by IIA, Kanpur on 22.06.2018 regarding business with India & Bangladesh. Programme was chaired by Hon‟ble Minister of MSME&EP Sh. Satya Deo Pachauri and President of NASCIB, National President IIA, Commissioner & DI, MSME&EP were present on Dias.

16. Sh. LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Sh. P.K. Srivastava AD (Food), Sh. S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) and Sh. Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) had a meeting with officers of Commission for Agriculture Cost & Price (CPAC), Directorate of Economics & Statistics (DES) of Deptt. of Sugar in Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi on 28.06.2018 and collected the data of Sugar Cane grown, area and quantity, state wise. From Directorate of Sugar and Consumer Affairs, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi compiled the data of Sugar Production, Sugar Cane Crushing and Sugar recovery.

17. A workshop on Cluster for “Hosiery Silai Cluster, Kanpur” was organised on 25.07.18 at office premises. The workshop was chaired by the Director of the Institute. Shri Sarveshwar Shukla Joint Commissioner DIEPC, Kanpur & Shri Balram Narula, Prominent Entrepreneur were prominently present at the workshop. Total 60 MSMEs/ Entrepreneurs participated in the program.

18. Shri. Rajesh Kumar Dy. Director (IMT) and Shri Chandan, AD (IMT) visited SIDBI Incubation Centre, IIT Kanpur and STEP-HBTI, Kanpur to collect the information on Incubation scheme. Shri Chandan AD(IMT) also visited CIPET, Lucknow for the same purpose. The information received from Incubation Centres under the juridictision was compiled and report was sent to O/o DC (MSME), New Delhi.

19. Shri Ajay Bajpai, Dy Director and Shri Neeraj Kumar, AD visited Leather Deptt. HBTU Kanpur, Govt. Leather Institute, Kanpur and SIDBI Kanpur to discuss about the new project on Waste to Gold and data on Standup India Scheme.

20. Shri Ajay Bajpai, Dy Director, Shri V.K. Bhatt AD, Shri. Amit Bajpai, AD & Shri Chandan, AD visited Council of Leather Export, Kanpur, FIEO Kanpur and DGFT, Kanpur to collect data of units engaged in export of Leather & Leather Products.

21. Shri. Rajesh Kumar Dy. Director (IMT) and Shri Chandan, AD (IMT) prepared report on Special Package on Employment Generation in Leather and Footwear Sector and the same was forwarded to Ms. Mandeep Kaur Joint Development Commissioner. 22. Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) participated in SME Transformation Camp “ SME Manufacturing Excellence Through Efficient Procurement and Financing Innovations” organised by Power2SME Private Limited on 29.08.2018 at IIA Bhawan, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow and also addressed to entrepreneurs on MSME Schemes. Total 70 entrepreneurs participated in the Camp.

23. Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem./CPIO) prepared Transparency Audit Report of the Institute as asked by Central Information Commission, New Delhi.

24. Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) visited FFDC, Kannauj on 29.09.2018 as Member of Selection Committee regarding selection of Documentation Officer, Scientific Officer (Agronomy) and Data Entry Operator for FFDC, Kannauj. The Selection Committee was chaired by Dr. Alok Kalra, Chief Scientist, CIMAP, Lucknow.

25. Shri Rajesh Kumar DD (IMT) along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) participated SME Conclave - 2018 organised by ICICI Bank and Dainik Jagran on 18.09.2018 at , Hotel Landmark, Kanpur.

26. Shri G. Velladurai DD (L/F) along with Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) organised Seminar on Entrepreneurship in association with HBTU, Kanpur on 25.09.2018 at HBTU, Kanpur. Shri G.Velladurai, Dy. Director, MSME-DI, Kanpur delivered a lecture on entrepreneurship. Shri Deepak kumar, CFTI, Kanpur discussed about the protectives in footwear designing and manufacturing field and courses organized by them. Shri Sumant chaterjee, Associate Professor, Shri Ram Singh, Asstt. Professor, HBTU, Kanpur also delivered their lecture during the programme. Total 51 prospective entrepreneurs have been benefitted from the programme. 27. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) participated in Seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights in Innovation Management” as Guest of Honour organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Engineering Institute of Technology (IET), Jankipuram Lucknow on 26.10.2018 at the premises of the Institute. Shri Sandeep Agarwal, Director Adastra IP, New Delhi delivered the lectures on the topic.

28. Sh. Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) attended Seminar on „Leather Export & Import Challenges in Exim Trade for MSME Exporters‟ on 31.10.2018 organised by DIEPC, Kanpur Nagar at Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, Kanpur. 29. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Shri S.K. Pandey AD(Food) and Shri Neeraj Kumar AD(EI) visited Terracota Cluster, Gorakhpur on 03.10.2018. The team of officers attended Amazon online Workshop organized by DIEPC, Gorakhpur for cluster units and also attended DPR Validation Programme organised at Gularia, Gorkhpur. During the programme, Ms. Pooja Srivastava, Dy.Commissioner, DIEPC, Gorakhpur, Shri Prashant Yadav, Dy.Commiossioner, DIEPC, Deoria ,Shri P.N.Srivastava, Representative of EDI, Gorakhpur and SPV Members of Terracotta Cluster were present. During the programme discussions were held about proposed Plant & Machinery for setting up of CFC and it was suggested that DPR may required some revision and after finalising the DPR, it is expected to be submitted both in offline and online mode very soon.

30. Shri P.K. Srivastava AD (Food) along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) visited CSA University, Kanpur and Vikas Bhawan, Kanpur on 22.10.2018 for the compilation of data and collect the information for the preparation of Report on Bee Keeping and Honey Processing.

31. As desired by the O/o of DC MSME, the details of VOs/NGOs of 25 districts were collected, compiled, in the form of a list, has been forwarded to Hqtrs.

32. Shri G. Velladurai DD(L/F) along with Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) visited Kanpur Unnao Leather Cluster Development Co. Ltd. (KLC), Banthar, Unnao on 05.10.2018 regarding collection of information on Waterless Chrome tanning and had a meeting with Shri O.P. Pandey, Executive Director, KLC. 33. Shri Neeraj Kumar AD(EI) visited BDO Office Bachhrawan & BDO Office Harchandpur on 26.10.2018 to Organise "Industrial Motivation Campaign focussing on Rural technologies under RUTAG mission" programme in the month of November. He also visited DIEPC, Raebareli and had a meeting with Dy. Commissioner Sh. Lal Chand Singh & Asstt. Commissioner Sh. Mahesh Chand for providing the details of artisans based clusters of Raebareli district.

34. Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem) along with Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) and Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) visited M/s Jyoti Capsules Pvt. Ltd. Kanpur and O/o Directorate of Ayurveda, Kanpur on 26.10.2018 for organising a meeting with members of Pharmaceutical and Ayurveda Drugs Mfrs Association (PADMA) for setting a Testing Laboratory under MSE-CDP scheme.

35. Vigilance Awareness Week 2018 (29.10.2018 to 03.11.2018) was inaugurated on 29.10.2018 at office premises. During the programme, Director administered the vigilance Oath to all the officials.

36. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated to commemorate Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31.10.2018. Director administered the Oath of Unity to all the officials.

37. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) along with Shri G. Velladurai DD (L/F) and Sh.S.K. Agnihotri AD(Chem.) visited Ordinance Equipment Factory (OEF), Kanpur on 20.11.2018 to study the Boot Plant.

38. Shri Ajay Bajpai DD (Electx.) visited Directorate of Industries,U.P., Kanpur on 28.11.2018 and met Shri Yogesh Kumar Joint Directorate of Industries regarding ID projects of U.P.

39. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) along with Shri R.K. Prakash Consultant visited Nagar Nigam Zone-5 Kanpur on 02.11.2018. Team of officers had a meeting with Shri Munish Kumar Zonal Officer regarding Notice of payment amount Rs. 1.10 Crores as Tax for MSME-TC, Kanpur. Shri Munish Kumar advised that Payment of appropriate amount of Tax can be made after construction of MSME-TC and requested to send a letter stating factual position of MSME-TC, Kanpur.

40. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) visited KDA, Kanpur on 05.11.2018 and had a meeting with Ms. Kinjal Singh, IAS, Vice Chairperson and requested her to expedite the process of issuance of Permit No. and approval of MAP for MSME-TC, Kanpur.

41. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) visited Nagar Nigam, Kanpur and KESCO, Kanpur on 05.11.2018 and requested the authorities to expedite the work of Shifting of Public Toilet and Electrical Lines respectively from the front of MSME-TC, Kanpur.

42. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) visited KDA Kanpur on 12.11.2018 and had meeting with Shri K.K. Singh Joint Secretary for issuance of Approved Plan and permit No. of MSME-TC Kanpur.

43. Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) along with Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) and Shri S.K. Gangal Inv. (G&C) visited Forest Office Deen Dayal Nagar, Kanpur on 12.11.2018 and had a meeting with SDO regarding Permission for cutting of Two Peepal Trees at MSME-TC Kanpur Site, and handed over application for the same.

44. Shri G. Velladurai DD (L/F) attended program at Jajmau, Organised by Solidaridad, Kanpur Office on 18.11.2018.

45. Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) visited UPSIDC, Lakhanpur, Kanpur on 28.11.2018 regarding to get information pertaining to IID Scheme called by O/o DC(MSME), New Delhi. The undersigned met Shri Rakesh Jha, R.M., UPSIDC, Shri S.K.Dixit, Senior Project Manager, UPSIDC, Sri Aashish Nath, Dy. Manager, UPSIDC and requested him to provide the related information on IID Scheme as instructed by Shri Ajay Bajpai, DD (Electronics).

46. Shri L.B.S.Yadav, DD ( Chem.) and Shri P.K.Srivastava, AD ( Food) visited Food Safety Drug Administration Department, Aliganj, Lucknow on 16.11.2018 regarding collection of data of Food Processing & Pharmaceutical Industries in Uttar Pradesh.

47. Expression of Interest (EoI) for Empanelment of Non Profit Institution(s) / Pro Bono / CSR Initiatives Organisation(s) to become Programme / Knowledge Partner in various MSME Initiatives, were invited from 2,826 nos. of Social Enterprises on Pro-Bono Publico basis by this Institute. A good numbers of social enterprises have responded and are submitting Expression of Interest. These social enterprises are being guided for submission of EoI.

During the programme, Shri Yadav delivered a talk on MSME Schemes and MUDRA Scheme.

49. Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Shri Rajesh Kumar AD (Chem.) participated in the workshop on Economic and Social Transformation through GPDP for Indo Gangetic Plain States at Hilton Hotel, Lucknow on 07.12.2018. Shri Rajesh Kumar gave the presentation on MSME Schemes.

50. Action Plan for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 was prepared after due consultation with Directorate of Industries and forwarded to O/o DC (MSME),GoI, New Delhi.

Agnihotri AD (Chem.) and Shri Neeraj Kumar AD(EI) participated in the Workshop on National SC/ST Hub organised by NSIC, Kanpur on 12.12.2018 at Lajpat Bhawan, Moteejheel, Kanpur. Shri S.K. 54. Shri G. Velladurai DD (L/F) attended a programme on Tannery of the Future organised by Solidadaridad on 18.11.2018 at Jajmau Kanpur.

55. Shri Ajai Bajpai, Dy. Director (Electx.) along with Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) visited UPSIDC Kanpur and met Shri P.K. Pandey, Joint Managing Director, UPSIDC, Kanpur on 30.12.2018 in order to collect the data regarding IID Projects at Banthar Unnao and Kursi Road, Barabanki. Data as received was uploaded at MSE-CDP Portal.

56. Shri S.K. Pandey AD (Food) along with Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) visited Directorate of Industries, Govt. of U.P. for seeking the comments on SFC to set up EDCs in each DIEPC of Uttar Pradesh.

57. Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) attended the awareness workshop on MSME Support and outreach programme organized on 14-12-2018 at IIA Bhawan, Panki Site-5, Kanpur by BOB, Kanpur. Sh S.K.Singh, DGM, Union Bank of India, Sh Brijesh Kumar Singh Regional Head/DGM, BOB, Kanpur, Shri Sarveshwar Shukla, Joint Commiissioner, DIEPC, Kanpur Nagar, Shri Sunil Vaish, National President IIA, Shri Alok Agrawal IIA President, Kanpur Chapter, graced the occasion as distinguished guest. More than 100 sanction letters under PSB loans in 59 Minutes and Mudra Yojana were given by different banks to the entrepreneurs of MSMEs for the betterment of their enterprises.

58. Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) attended the Awareness Workshop on MSME Support and Outreach Programme organized by BOB, Kanpur on 20-12-2018 at MSME-DI, Kanpur premises. Dr. Ramjas Yadav, General Manager, SLBC, graced the occasion as chief guest whereas Shri U.C.Shukla, Director MSME-DI, Kanpur presided over the event. More than 150 participants attended the workshop.

59. Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) along with Shri Chandan AD (IMT) visited DIEPC, Fatehpur, ITI, Fatehpur, Mahatma Gandhi Snatkottar Mahavidyalaya, Fatehpur, Yuvraj Singh PG College, Fatehpur, Sports Stadium, Fatehpur and Sardar Patel Prekshagraha, Fatehpur seeking the probable venue for upcoming Udyam Samaagam event at Fatehpur.

60. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) visited DIEPC, Barabanki on 22.12.2018 regarding information of units setup at UPSIDC Kursi Road, Barabanki and got benefitted by IID project of MSE-CDP scheme. Also discussed about Handloom Cluster at Zaidpur.

61. Shri Neeraj Kumar AD(EI) visited Directorate of Industries U.P. regarding Parliament Questions on 04.12.2018 and also met with Sh. V.K. Dwivedi Addl. Statistical Officer regarding status of MSEFC pending cases.

62. Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) visited DIEPC, Kanpur Nagar on 03.12.2018 and met Shri Sarveshwar Shukla, Joint Director (Industries), U.P. and discussed regarding Mega Leather Cluster, Ramaipur, Kanpur.

66. A team of Officers comprising Shri Ajay Bajpai, DD(Electx), Sh Rajesh Kumar, AD (Chem) & Sh S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem)) visited Fatehpur on 16.01.2019 in connection with Udyam Samaagam. Team visited Mandap Guest House, OM Garden, Thakur Yugraj Singh P.G. College, Fatehpur for the finalisation Venue of Udyam Sammaagam proposed to be organised on 21-23, February, 2019 at Fatehpur.

Shri LBS Yadav DD (Chem.) along with Shri Rajesh Kumar AD(Chem.) and Shri SK Agnihotri AD ( Chem.) visited Ravindralaya, Moti Lal Nehru Marg, Charbagh, Lucknow, O/o PHD Chamber of Commerce, Lucknow and Lucknow University on 07.01.2019 to organize Workshop on Emerging Trends in MSME sector. During the visit, Officers had a meeting with Vice Chancellor of the Lucknow University to organize the same event on probable dates 10 or 12 Feb, 2019 at University Campus and also collected estimate to organize the event.

(L/F) visited Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Kanpur on 16.01.2019 regarding collection of Information on Waterless Chrome Tanning for preparation of Report as desired by O/o DC MSME, Govt. of India, New Delhi. 69. Report on Waterless Chrome Tanning was prepared by Shri G. Velladuari DD (L/F) and Shri K.P. Sheel Inv. (L/F) under the guidance and supervision of Director of the Institute and forward to Hqtrs. 70. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) gave handholding support of 01 MSE i.e. M/s Beg Embroidery Enterprises, Unnao for their participation in Vibrant Gujrat Summit – 2019. 71. Shri Neeraj Kumar AD (EI) visited U.P. Electronics Corporation Ltd. Lucknow and HCL-IT SEZ, Lucknow on 16.01.2019 regarding collection of data on present status of MSMEs at HCL -IT SEZ.

10.3.1. Workshop on Hindi (Rajbhasa):

Hindi Diwas & Hindi Pakhwara from 14.09.2018 to 28.09.2018 was organized in the office by the Namit Rajbasha Adhikari, Shri R.P. Chowdhary, Assistant Director Gr. I (Mech.). the Pakhwara Various activities viz. Nibandh Pratiyogita ,Anuvad Pratiyogita and Sangoshthi were organised. The participants of the Hindi Pratiyogitas were honored with Certificates and Mementoes.

Hindi Workshops were organised on quarterly basis dated 29.03.2018, 13.06.2018, 25.09.2018 and 31.12.2018 at the office premises. Director of the institute presided over the workshop. All the officers actively participated in the workshop. The programme was coordinated by Shri R.P. Chowdhary, Assistant Director Gr. I (Mech.).

10.3.2. Exhibition/Mela

1. Shri S.K. Agnihotri AD (Chem.) along with Shri S.K. Gangal Inv. (G &C) participated Mega Science, Technology And Industry Expo” under „Indian International Science Festival (05-08 Oct.2018) on 06-10-2018 organised by CSIR Laboratories at Railway ground, Lucknow at railway ground, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.

2. Dr. Priyanka Singh Bhadouria AD (EI), visited “Diwali Haat” exhibition organised by BMUP on 14.10.2016 at Rangoli Guest House, Kanpur. More than 60 women entrepreneurs exhibited their products viz. Handicrafts items, Artificial jewellery, Garments, Food products etc. at the exhibition. Dr. Bhadouria also interacted one to one with all the participants of exhibition and explained schemes of MSMEs.

3. Shri L.B.S.Yadav, DD ( Chem.) and Shri P.K.Srivastava, AD ( Food) visited the Seventh Food Festival- Industrial Exhibition held at Lucknow from 16-18 November, 2018 at R.S.B.S College Lucknow and had discussion with Officers from CFTRI Lucknow, NRDC, New Delhi and other state govt. department regarding their Policies and access to new technology etc. The officers also interacted one to one with all the stalls of exhibition and explained schemes of MSMEs.

4. Shri Amit Bajpai AD (Elect.) attended inaugural function of Khadi & Gramodyog Exhibition 2018–19 at Motijheel Ground, Kanpur on 24.12.2018. Shri Satya Deo Pachauri, Hon‟ble Minister of MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P. was Chief Guest of the programme. About 100 Khadi manufacturing stalls in the event. Shri Bajpai also interacted one to one with all the participants of exhibition and discussed Procurement & Marketing Scheme on Financial Support for participation in Domestic Trade Fairs.

11.1 Workshop Progress

MSME Development Institute, Kanpur has a mechanical workshop attached to it. The earlier facilities of testing and heat treatment have been discontinued. Most of the work is done with Wire Cut CNC machine. Training programmes are also being organized for wire cut CNC machine and other technical topics.

The Library of this office is a good repository of all documents and offers a unique collection of books & journals to visitors as well officers/officials of the Institute. Every year, new books & journals are purchased for officials and visitors. In FY 2018 – 19, an amount of Rs. 80,251/- was spent towards purchase of books, journals & newspapers and Rs. 19,120/- to spent towards purchase of visitor‟s chairs against the annual target of Rs. 1,00,000/- sanctioned by Hqrs.

MSME DATA BANK, UNITS VISITED & ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW UNITS

13.1. MSME Data Bank, Units Visited

This office has made an entry of 335 units in MSME Data Bank portal in 2018-19. A total of 726 units were visited by all the officers during April, 2018 to March ,2019 as the work of unit-visit started from June, 2016 onwards.

13.2 Establishment of New Units

In the year 2018-19, 45 new units have been set up by entrepreneurs through guidance & assistance from this office.

13.3 Marketing Assistance

This office motivates the MSEs to participate in the Govt. Store Purchase Programme so that they may take the benefit of registration as provisioned in the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs Order 2012. This office received 24 applications from MSEs for inspection under Single Point Registration Scheme of NSIC in 2018-19. The revenue earned by inspection charges was Rs.58, 540/-.

CHAPTER 15 SWACHH BHARAT MISSION (SBM)

In order to accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014. The Mission aims to achieve a Swachh Bharat by 2019, as a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary by cleaning up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, towns, and rural areas.

It is India's largest cleanliness drive involving about three million government employees and students from all parts of India participating in 4,041 cities, towns, and rural areas.

In order to fulfill the above mission, the Institute organized following activities during the Year 2018-19:

I. Swachhta Pakhwadas : 02 Nos. II. Special Swachhta Drives : 04 Nos.

A) First Swachhta Pakhwada From 16.06.2018 to 30.06.2018:

The First Swatchhta Pakhwada was observed from 16.06.2018 to 30.06.2018. The Pakhwada was formally inaugurated by Smt. Pramila Pandey, Hon‟ble Mayor, Kanpur Municipal Corporation at office premises. During the programme, Hon‟ble Mayor administered Swachhta oath during the programme and also urged the Officials of MSME-DI and Entrepreneurs to participate actively in Swachhta Abhiyan. He also started plantation drive from office premises under Swachhta Pakhwara.

The following activities were promptly carried out during the Swachhta Pakhwadaby all the Officers & Officials of the Institute:

a) Cleaning of water drains, roadside, parking areas, lawns, gardens, Corridors, stairs etc. b) Total 390No. of files have been weeded out during the pakhwada. c) Disposal of waste of office campus by Nagar Nigam Kanpur. d) An Awareness Workshop on 5S was organized during the pakhwada at Institute. e) Drawing and Painting competition was organized at Provincial Industrial Association (PIA) Park, Panki Industrial area, site-2 Kanpur to bring awareness about Swachhta amongst the children. Swachhta oath was also taken during the competition.

f) Swachhta Drive was also organized at Zari Zardozi Cluster, Unnao. g) Swachhta related activities were carried out at MSME TC (Tool Room) Kanpur. h) World Yoga day was also organized during the SwachhtaPakhwada. i) Essay Competition on Swachhta was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT, Kanpur. j) A public toilet was also adopted by the Institute during the Pakhwada for the Financial Year 2018-19. k) Swachhta related activities were also carried out at Mariyampur Hospital, Kanpur. l) Aromatic & Medicinal Plants were planted during plantation drive in the office premises. m) Swachhta related activities were carried out at Hindu & Muslim orphanage at Kanpur. During this officers motivated and tried to bring awareness about Swachhta amongst the children and also discussed the importance of Swachhta in daily life. Swachhta oath was also taken. n) Swachhta related activities were carried out at Rooma Industrial Estate, Kanpur in association with Rooma Industrial Association, Kanpur. o) Various Awareness Programme related to Swachhta have been performed by the institute in various districts blocks viz. Amaoli Block (Fatehpur), Sarsaul Block (Kanpur) &Maheva Block (Etawa). p) To bring the awareness about Swachhta and also the importance of Swachhta in daily life a documentary film based on Swachhta was shown in the Institute to all the officers &officials. q) A slogan competition on Swachhta was organized in the institute during the Pakhwada. Most of the officers & officials have participated in the competition with full enthusiasm.

B) Second Swachhta Pakhwada from 15.09.2018 to 02.10.2018:

Second Swatchhta Pakhwada was observed from 15.09.2018 to 02.10.2018. Sh. U. C. Shukla Director MSME-DI, Kanpur, administered Swachhta oath during the programme. The following activities were promptly carried out during the Swachhta Pakhwada by all the Officers & Officials of the Institute:

a) Disposal of waste of office campus by Nagar Nigam Kanpur.T b) To bring the awareness about Swachhta amongst the students Swachhta related activities have been carried out at HBTU, Kanpur & J.K. ITI Kanpur. Students of these institutes have actively participated in the drive. c) Swachhta related activities were carried out at MSME TC (Tool Room) Kanpur.

d) Total 63 No. of files have been weeded out during the pakhwada. e) Essay Competition on Swachhta was organized at Karwar Public School, Ambedkarpuram Kanpur to bring awareness about Swachhta amongst the children. f) An Awareness Workshop on 5S was organized during the pakhwada at Institute. g) To bring the awareness about Swachhta amongst the Officers& Officials of the Institute an exhibition was organized related to equipment used in Swachhta. h) Plants were planted during plantation drive in the office premises & AwasVikas Colony, Keshavpuram, Kanpur. i) Fogging was made in the entire institute by Nagar Nigam Kanpur. j) Cleaning of workshop, Food Lab, water drains, roadside, parking areas, lawns, gardens, Corridors, stairs& main road attached to the Institute. k) Massive Swachhta Cleanliness Drives were organized at UPSRTC Workshop & CUGL‟s CNG Petrol adjacent to the office. l) A slogan competition on Swachhta was organized in the institute during the Pakhwada. Most of the officers & officials have participated in the competition with full enthusiasm

C) First Special Swachhta Drive on 14.06.2018:

A one day Special Swachhta Drive was organized by MSME-DI, Kanpur at Bhagya Nagar Block, Distt. Auraiya on 14.06.18. Officers of this institute focused upon the importance of Swachhta in daily life and also made chemicals products demonstrations used in Cleanliness. To bring the awareness about Swachhta amongst the participants officers distributed hand soap during the programme. Beside this, Swachhta related activities have also been carried out in the block. Swachhta oath was also taken by the participants during the programme. Total 65 no. of participants actively participated in the programme.

D) Second Special Swachhta Drivew.e.f. 13.09.2018 to 14.09.2018:

Two days Special Swachhta Drive was organized by MSME-DI, Kanpur at Jatipur & Panwari Blocks of Distt. Mahoba on 13.09.18 & 14.09.18. On 13.09.18. a Special Swachhta Drive was organized at S.K. Degree College of Jatipur Block. Officers of this institute demonstrated about chemical products. Beside this Swachhta related activities have also been carried out at college premises.Swachhta oath was also taken by the participating during the programme.

On 14.09.18 Swachhta related activities were also carried out at Bajaria Industrial Estate, Mahoba in association with Bajaria Industrial Association, Mahoba& DIEPC, Mahoba. E) Third Special Swachhta Drive w.e.f. 26.12.2018 to 27.12.2018:

A two days Special Swachhta Drive was organized by MSME-DI, Kanpur at Masoda, Sonawal & Milkipur Blocks of Distt. Ayodhya on 26.12.2018 to 27.12.2018. On 26.12.18 a Special Swachhta Drive was organized at Masoda Block. Officers of this institute brought awareness about Swachhta amongst the participants & also made chemicals products demonstrations. Swachhta oath was also taken by the participants during the programme. On the next day of the two days Special Swatchta Drive, various Swatchta related activities were carried out at Sonawal Block on 27.12.2018. Swachhta related activities were also carried out at Milkipur Blocksof Distt. Ayodhya on 27.12.2018.

F) Forth Special Swachhta Drive w.e.f. 18.03.2019 to 19.03.2019:

A two days Special Swachhta Drive was organized by MSME-DI, Kanpur at Kalpi Distt. Jalaun & Sikandra of Distt. Kanpur Dehat on 18.03.2019 & 19.03.2019. On 18.03.19 a Special Swachhta Drive was organized at Bandichor Bal Vidyalaya Kalpi Distt. jalaun. Officers of this institute bought awareness about Swachhta amongst the participants in their day today life. Beside this, Swachhta related activities have been carried out at Bandichor Bal Vidyalaya Kalpi Distt. jalaun. Swachhta oath was also taken during the programme. Total 40 no. of participants actively participated in the programme. Another Swachhta drive was carried out at Community Health Centre, Sikandra Distt. Kanpur Dehat on 19.03.19.Other then various Swatchta related activities, Swachhta oath was also taken by the participants of the programme. Total 35 no. of participants actively participated in the programme. On 19.03.2019 Swachhta related activities were also carried out at Nagar Palika Sikandra in association with Community Health Centre, Sikandra Distt. Kanpur Dehat.

CHAPTER 16

IMPROVEMENT IN CIVIL & ELECTRICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The following activities were carried out to improve Civil & Electrical Infrastructure of the Office:

1. One bigger room was renovated and fitted with Split AC and it started functioning as Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) w.e.f. 8 August, 2019

2. One Hall was renovated and fitted with Split AC and it will start functioning as Export Facilitation Cell (EFC) from the next financial year.

3. One room was renovated to function it as Udyam Sakhi Kendra, where lady entrepreneurs could come directly interact with a lady officer. It will start functioning from the next financial year.

4. Total 108 Nos. of Chairs were purchased through GeM to strengthen the infrastructure of IMT Hall and Library.

5. Total 4 Nos. of ACs (3 Nos of 2Tons and 1 No of 1.5 Tons) and 8 Nos of Coolers were purchased through GeM to provide comfortable sitting of visiting entrepreneurs.

6. Total 2 Nos. of Water Purifiers and 1 No. of Water Cooler were purchased through GeM to provide safe drinking water facility to the visiting entrepreneurs as well as to the officials of the office.

7. For the Mechanical Workshop and TPDC Lab equipments were purchased through GeM to strengthen the infrastructure.

8. Under Swachchta, 1 No. Grass Cutting machine and 1 No. of Dust Cleaning Machine were purchased through GeM during the year.

9. Renovation of toilet on the ground floor for differently abled persons was done from the funds of CPWD.

10. Work of installation of lift for differently abled persons from the funds of CPWD is under progress.
