Kamala speaks out laud!!!!By Maximo ZaldivarGreat Book!I was amazed with this book, I am so glad Kamala had the health to make time for the book, and with all the support he got from many people and fellow wrestlers. To read page by page his career through so many years and promotions, is an epic journey for any wrestling fan.I hope the WWE really comes to their senses and inducts Kamala soon in the Hall of Fame before it is too late, he deserves it more than many who are already in there, his amazing career, his professionalism and his loyalty are enough merits.5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. -

Not many people know this, but I’ve always considered myself an artist of sorts. Ever since I was a young kid, I invariably find myself passing the time by doodling, drawing, and, on occasion, even painting. In the space between my paper and pencil, and in those moments when inspiration would strike, my imagination would run amok and these bigger-than-life personas - football players and comic book characters and, of course, professional wrestlers - would come to life. I wasn’t aware of this until much later, but for all those years my mother would quietly steal away my drawings, saving them for all prosperity, and perhaps giving her a way to relive all of those memories of me as a child. That’s exactly what happened to me when she showed me those old sketches of Iron Man and Walter Payton and Fred Flintstone and Hulk Hogan. I found myself instantly transported back to a time where things were simpler and characters were real and the art was pure. I get a lot of really similar feelings when I look at the incredible art that Rob Schamberger has shared with 2 foreward us all. Rob’s passion for art and for professional wrestling struck me immediately as someone that has equally grown to love and appreciate both, and by Adam Pearce truth be told I am extremely jealous of his talents. -

Foreign and Minority Representations in Professional Wrestling
Good versus Evil in the Squared Circle: Foreign and Minority Representations in Professional Wrestling By Jessica Friedrichs A Thesis Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Master of Science in Mass Communication Middle Tennessee State University 2013 Thesis Committee: Dr. Jason Reineke, Chair Dr. Katherine Foss Dr. Jan Quarles ABSTRACT Professional wrestling has remained a very popular form of entertainment through out the history of television. It hosts a unique world of characters that are used to play out scripted athletic contests that revolve around the concept of good versus evil. Previous research has suggested that minority and ethnic characters are predominantly represented as the evil side of the battle. This paper looks at the professional wrestling industry on a larger scale, analyzing the two largest professional wrestling companies in the world to determine if foreign and minority characters are more likely to represent evil, while White and American characters tend to represent the good. Results demonstrate that when looking at the industry as a whole minority characters are not predominantly featured as negative characters, as previous research would suggest. There is, however, a slight indication that foreign characters are still more likely to fall victim to negative representations in professional wrestling. ii TABLE OF CONTENTS Page INTRODUCTION ………………………………………………… 1 Theoretical Framework …………………………………. 7 Literature Review ………………………………………... 10 Hypothesis ……………………………………………….. 25 METHODS -
