Carried. 6) Delegation of Scrutineers in the event of an election – 10:18 AM  Motion to elect and approve Robin Flicek and Eric Durell as Scrutineers. Moved by Lyle Orchard, seconded by Wayne Hyde. Carried. 8) Appoint an Auditor for the New Year – 10:36 AM  Katherine Finn nominates Elizabeth Torrens.  Motion to appoint Elizabeth Torrens as the Auditor for next fiscal year. Carried. 9) Chairs’ Report – 10:39 AM – Paul Rybka 10) Managers’ Report – 10:42 AM – Katherine Finn  Big thanks to NSRBC staff, volunteers and the Board  Staff Changes – Blossom shifted from special projects manager to assistant manager, Eric Durrell second year as a summer student, Maddie Simpso hired as an intern, Kyla Kennedy, Annette Smith, and Robin Flicek remain Agri-Environmental Technicians  4 full-time staff, over 8 staff members in total  Board volunteered 600+ hours  Membership volunteered almost 2000 hours  4 Conference displays  3 School presentations  14 Presentations at RM counsel meetings  18 Water model demonstrations  Noxious Weeds: Leafy Spurge Beetle Drop – Sweetgrass First Nation lands, Weed mapping for RM of Mervin  Natural Edge: 5 shoreline restoration sites – Two at Jackfish Lake and three at Emma Lake  Culvert Mapping: 2 Contracts – RM of Mervin (754 approach culverts) and first urban culvert mapping project at the Village of (92 culverts)  Mistawasis Nehiyawak Climate Change and Health Adaptation: Final event in May 2019 which showcased findings and mural painted  Sturgeon Lake First Nation Source Water Protection Plan (SWPP) – Future grant applications for implementing a plan. U of S partnership (Devin Iuliano)  Onion Lake Nation SWPP – Challenging project: many water risks. Partnerships include U of S Hydrology Department, Black Pearl Oil and Gas. Target: Finish plan by end of Summer 2019  Technical Services Advisory Group (TSAG) – NSRBC was the only non-indigenous representative who attended meeting set to review barriers and opportunities for Indigenous groups from , Saskatchewan and  Stewards of the Land Workshop – Riparian areas + Source Water Protection Planning. Partnerships: Prince Albert Model Forest, Beardy’s and Okemasis, , and Mistawasis Nehiyawak  U of S Masters Students: Kabir Salisu is working on a Jackfish and Murray Lake water quality monitoring plan, Melissa Colquhoun is working on Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Source Water

Protection Plan Renewal and Devon Iuliano Completed working on Source Water Protection Plan for Sturgeon Lake First Nation  Katherine Finn mentions that hiring a coordinator for grant writing would help overcome many barriers  Prairie Water Annual Gathering in January 2019  Urban Community Source Water Risk Assessment (3rd year): This year 112 assessments were done in watersheds that are currently not being represented by an active watershed group  Love Your Lake (4th year) – 460 assessments completed on Brightsand, Cochin, Jackfish, Provincial Park. To date: 3000+ assessments completed  Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) – Local volunteers for AIS sampling. Continue to raise prevention and awareness  Drainage – Tucker Lake (RM of Manitou Lake) Drainage Project examined 78 quarter sections of land  Heritage River Nomination Document – Blocked by Ministry of Environment due to concerns over limitations to community river development. NSRBC Goal: Interprovincial designation with Alberta  YouTube: 5 Videos including: Well Decommissioning Lessons Learned, Ground Water Education, Recycling Farm Plastics (John Kindrachuk), Agri-Environmental Tech (AET) Workshop (Steve Kenyan, Dr. Bart Lardener)  AET Technicians: AET Workshops continue and Invasive Species Tool Building  Membership Map: Completed by Blossom Branger – Goal: Engage more people to build on membership numbers  2019 Updates: o Husky Energy grant application submitted with water quality monitoring and shoreline restoration projects o EcoAction Grant approved for project: “Emma Lake Action and Understanding” Partnering with Lakeland District and Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert o Climate Change and Health Adaptation Grant approved for project: “Muskeg Lake First Nation: A Story of Community and Climate” o Winnipeg Basin Fund Grant approved for project: “Testing for Phosphorus in Lakes and Rivers Flowing into the Saskatchewan River” Partnerships: South Saskatchewan River Watershed, Swift Current Creek Watershed and Carrot River Watershed.  Motion to accept the Chair’s and Manager’s reports as presented.
