HISTORY HIGHLIGHTS

Buxton is a small township 103 km northeast of  Buxton Mountain Bike Track  Buxton Township Walk MARYSVILLE Melbourne, on the junction of the Maroondah  Meeting of the Waters Day Visitor Area Highway and the Buxton-Marysville Road. It is  Popular Buxton Hotel home to around 400 residences, the Buxton Hotel,  Keppel Falls (Lady Talbot Drive) a general store, a fishing and outdoor store, and  Cora Lynn Falls (On the Cambarville Walk) the Buxton Primary School—first opened 1875.  Phantom Falls (Lady Talbot Drive)  River Visitor Areas (Lady Talbot Drive) The township is also located at the junction of the  Meeting of the Waters walk (Lady Talbot Drive) , Little Steavenson River and the  The Beeches (Lady Talbot Drive)  Cambarville Day Visitor Area . Here the lovely Meeting of the Wa-  The Big Tree (On the Cambarville Walk) ters Day Visitor Area has been established and  The Big Culvert (Woods Point Road) includes picnic tables, a picturesque view,  Keppel Hut (Lady Talbot Drive - 4x4 required) BUXTON MAP beautiful parkland, a suspension bridge and  Keppel Lookout numerous photographic opportunities.  Mount Gordon Lookout  Play Golf on the renown Marysville Gold Course A walk path has been built around the Buxton  Historic Trestle bridge & wishing well walk  Swimming pool township and includes two suspension bridges,  Rock Climbing and mountain biking parkland, flora and fauna and river crossings.  Spend time at the sports ovals Day Visitor Area  Jock’s Lookout (Woods Point Road) The Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm, offers visitors  Gallipoli Park Lake and parkland a great fishing experience, while the world-class  Yellow Dog Day Visitor Area Buxton Mountain Bike Track is popular with those  Great Café’s & Restaurants at Marysville interested in mountain biking.  Bruno’s Sculpture Garden  Steavenson Falls  Marysville Reflective Gardens and Kin Playspace  Fishing in Gallipoli Lake (Trout or Golden Perch)
