Nearly one fourth of the total population of the state is inhabited by tribals such as Baigas, Gonds, Korku , etc. tribes. An ethno-medico-botanical survey among different tribal pockets of Balaghat district, viz. Gangulapara, Lamta, Laugur, Langi, Baihar, Bithali, Lalbarra, etc. was carried out during the year 2007-2008 and folklore information was collected on 50 medicinal plants species belonging to 50 genera and 31 families with the help of tribal medicine men. Out of 50 plants, 15 predominant plants used in refractory diseases such as cancer, malaria, rheumatism, liver disorders and respiratory diseases, etc. These uses are not reported in earlier published literatures. Samriddha aur Saksham Chhindwara An Analysis of Agriculture and Skill Development Chhindwara – A Brief Overview Located in the picturesque Satpura Range, the Chhindwara constituency comprises of the entire area of the Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh. Part of Jabalpur division of the state, it is spread across seven assembly constituencies of Junnardeo, Amarwara, Churai, Saunsar, Chhindwara, Parasia and Pandhurna. It covers a total area of 11,815 sq. kilometres, which consists of 12 tehsils, 24 towns and 1,965 villages. It is bordered by Betul and Hoshangabad district in the west and Seoni district in the East. The district has a sizeable tribal pipulation and is ranked 13th in the entire state. OF MADHYA PRADESH 16-Mar-16 DISTRICT SURVEY REPORT DISTRICT JABALPUR With reference to Gazette notification of 15th January 2016 of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the District Environment Impact Assessment Authority (DEIAA) and District Environment Assessment Committee (DEAC) are to be constituted by the Divisional Commissioner for prior environmental clearance of mining of minor minerals. The DEIAA and DEAC will scrutinize and recommend the prior environmental clearance of mining of minor minerals on the basis of District Survey Report. This will a model and guiding document which is a compendium of available mineral resources, geographical set up, environmental and ecological set up of the district and replenishment of minerals and is based on data of various departments, published reports, journals and websites. 1. Introduction: Jabalpur is one of the central districts of Madhya Pradesh. The tropic of cancer passes through the northern boundary of the district with Katni. The district is stretched in NE-SW direction with maximum length being 120Km along NE-SW direction and the maximum width is about 100 Km along E-W to ENE-WSW direction. It lies between latitudes 22°49′- 23.45°N and longitudes 2 79.20°- 80°37′E. The area of the district is about 5211Km . The district falls in Survey of India Toposheet Nos. 55 M, 64 A and 55 N on 1:250,000 scale.

This is the name given to the collection of poems by the celebrated Bengali poet, musician, revolutionary and philosopher, Kazi Nazrul Islam. He was born in Burdwan district in 1899 and died in Dhaka in 1976. He is the national poet of Bangladesh, and also honoured in India. She took over reigns of the kingdom after the death of her husband and father-in-law. She moved the capital to Maheshwar south of Indore on the Narmada River. She also built temples and Dharamshalas (free lodging)at sacred sites outside her kingdom, at prominent religious places like Dwarka, Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Ujjain, Nasik, Parli Vaijnath and Somnath. The city of Indore is sometimes called Ahilyanagari in her memory.
