Ground Floor Porch Fishing Huts There are substantial, fully kitted out huts on each beat, David’s Tree House perhaps having an edge on the others in its elevated position overlooking the Pheasantry and Kirkinn Pools at the centre of the Finavon Castle Water. The huts vary between timber built huts on stilts to a well camouflaged container with trellis cladding at Indies. Each hut caters for a fisherman’s basic needs and on the Castle Beat there is a ‘tree bog’ (a composting loo) discreetly hidden amongst trees upstream of David’s Tree House. At the House Pool on Bogardo, the Dacha provides a shelter and ideal vantage point for observing wildlife and fish entering the pool.
