Connect the leak tester, insufflate air until pressure up to test zone, then watch the pointer. If the pointer deflects, stop; if no apparent deflection ok to immerse the endoscope-keep cap on. Steps: Clean, rinse, disinfect, rinse, alcohol, wipe and hang dry. • Keep scope plugged in to utilize suction and air valves. If not possible, remove the scope and place water resistant cap before immersing . You will have to use a large syringe to suction and flush valves as directed below. • Prepare a basin or sink with enzymatic cleaner/detergent. Follow cleaner instructions for dilution. ** Only use endoscope approved disinfectants, some solutions will damage the scope. ** • Use TeeZyme Spong—3-7 gallons, tap water ok.
