Christ the King Catholic High School CRUSADER WEEKLY December 7, 2018 [email protected] Dear CTK Crusaders, This Thursday the Feast of St. Nicholas brought many gifts to CTK. We enjoyed a visit from Most Reverend Peter J. Jugis, Bishop of Charlotte. He celebrated Mass with the student body. In addition, he blessed or new educational extension and participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Members of the Diocese and many of the professionals who designed and built the extension were there to support us. St. Nicholas had a spirit of generosity which enabled others to do what they previously did not think was able. What a great metaphor for the support we have received from the Diocese and the MACS Capital Fund. It will give us the wings to fly to new and exciting heights, never imagined. Please join us in thanking Bishop Jugis. Finally, Bishop Jugis offered our students a special day off. Therefore we will have no classes this Monday, December 10. Sincerely, Dr. Semmler Week in Review Bishop Jugis came to CTK on Thursday to celebrate Mass with the CTK Community, bless the new building extension, and participate in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Bishop Jugis blessed the new building. Seniors in industrial design work on trimming their christmas tree for Mr. Stump’s room. A Letter from Ms. Yordy Good afternoon my dearest CTK families! I am writing to ask for your help in caring for one of our CTK animals. As many of you know, I am in possession of several class pets that I have inherited from students and their families. The kids really enjoy having the animals in the biology class and it makes for a happy, interesting atmosphere (Monte the snake's feeding time??!) However, I have been struggling to find care for our bunny, Harper, on the weekends or on holidays. She has a travel cage and I provide the food and supplies. You just get to snuggle a fluffy friend for a couple of nights. (there are a few rabbit pellets involved, not going to lie!). So her is my desperate request: If anyone would like to take home and care for Harper the bunny on weekends or holidays, please email Ms Yordy at: [email protected] and if I cannot find weekend care, if anyone wants to give Harper a permanent home, please email me as well. I have a larger cage for her to live in day to day I can provide. Thank you so much for considering this request and for allowing me to be with your children each day. I love them dearly.
