6:30 PM ET | CED Awards Celebration Concludes Committee for Economic Development

The disruptive impact of COVID-19 has made it all the more important to recognize and honor leadership during these unprecedented times. The celebration will include an exciting virtual program that will feature the traditional award presentations and will also include six “breakout room” discussions on leadership in challenging times hosted by our Distinguished Honorees and their Introducers for you to join in live. The conversation with our Honorees has already started and we invite you to listen to our Conversation Series, Leadership in Challenging Times – see here – as you await to join us at the main event on October 27th. Since its inception in 1942, CED has addressed national priorities that promote sustained economic growth for the benefit of all Americans. CED’s work has helped to shape economic policies and initiatives that include the Marshall Plan and Bretton Woods Agreement; campaign finance and education reform; and, short- and long-term challenges to our nation’s fiscal health and free enterprise system. CED’s research findings are linked with outreach and program efforts throughout the country, achieving tangible impact at the local, state, and national levels. Our nation requires committed business leadership to meet the challenges of these unprecedented times and reach the goals that we all share, including sustained economic growth and prosperity shared by all Americans. We need dialogue based on well-researched analysis to address these civic challenges, and strong business leaders to support, influence, and advance solutions in the nation’s interest.

The Distinguished Performance Awards Celebration honors business leaders who have answered CED’s call for leadership. We are proud to highlight our history of engaging business leaders in public policy, and look forward to recognizing the many companies and individuals who continue that legacy.

We look forward to having you be part of the Distinguished Performance Awards Celebration.

CED is the nonprofit, nonpartisan, business-led public policy center of The Conference Board that delivers well-researched analysis and reasoned solutions to our nation’s most-critical issues. CED Distinguished Performance Awards 2020 HONOREES
