Dear friends in Christ,

This weekend brings the liturgical season of Christmas to an end. On Monday we begin the Ordinary Time of the Year. So called because it does not contain significant celebration of the Lord's mystery like Easter or Christmas which usually are preceded by Lent and Advent, respectively. Incidentally, this year's season of Lent will come as early as 17 February. Easter will be upon us before you know it.

We are already one week gone into the new year. If you made some new resolutions and are struggling with them, do not lose heart because change is never easy but tenacity wins the battle. What we should keep mostly in mind is the purpose for our resolutions. With the Lord ever in your sight you shall not lose the war. Let us prepare ourselves ahead for the Lenten journey. It is a very powerful way to solidify our new year resolutions. May God fill you all with His Grace.

Very respectfully,

Fr. Hilary Ike Email: [email protected] Phone: 614-497-1324 Phil. 3:8
