Pruitt is also the first Tennessee head coach with multiple wins over a ranked team in his first season since Phillip Fulmer in 1993. • Tennessee has also now defeated two ranked opponents this season, which marks just the second season since 2008 that the Vols have registered two regular season wins over ranked teams. • Tennessee’s win over Kentucky marks the first time that the Vols have beaten a ranked team in the month of November since Nov. 8, 2003, when No. 18 Tennessee won at No. 6 Miami, 10-6. • The win was Tennessee’s first regular season win over a team ranked in the top 15 since Oct. 19, 2013, when the Vols defeated No. 11 South Carolina. • The win was Tennessee’s first over a ranked Kentucky team since 1977.

Guarantano Makes History • Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jarrett Guarantano broke a 15-year old record with 1:48 left in the third quarter on Saturday, throwing 144 passes without an interception. The previous record of 143 was set by VFL Casey Clausen during the 2003 season. • Guarantano finished the game 12 of 20 for 197 yards and two touchdowns. The New Jersey native extended his school record to 146 pass attempts without an interception. • He’s thrown two touchdowns four times during his career with the last being against South Carolina on Oct. 27, 2018.

Murphy Kick Starts Two Scoring Drives

• Jordan Murphy made an impact through the air and on the ground for Tennessee during the Vols’ win over Kentucky. • On Tennessee’s first quarter field goal drive, Murphy got the Vols into the red zone with a 39- yard reception from Jarrett Guarantano. • In the third quarter, the sophomore took a reverse 59 yards down the sideline to set up a two- yard touchdown catch by Dominick Wood-Anderson four plays later. • Murphy’s 59-yard rush in the third quarter marked the second-longest play from scrimmage of the season for the Vols, only behind Ty Chandler’s 81-yard touchdown run against UTEP on Sept. 15.

Jordan Fuels Touchdown Drive • Sophomore running back Tim Jordan came up with a pair of big plays to lead the Vols to their first touchdown of the day to give UT a 10-0 advantage in the second quarter. • On the first play, Jarrett Guarantano found Jordan wide open in the middle of the field and delivered a strike while getting hit. Jordan covered 34 yards on the play, marking a career long and setting up Tennessee at the three-yard line. • The bruiser running back forced his way into the end zone on the next play for his third rushing touchdown of the season.

Defensive Highlights • Overall, UT held Kentucky to just 77 yards rushing. It was only the second time this season that the Wildcats had gained fewer than 80 yards on the ground. • With the 24-7 final, the Vols surrendered their fewest points to an SEC opponent since Oct. 18, 2008 when UT won 34-3 versus Mississippi State. • First Half: The Vols held Kentucky to just 68 total yards in the first half, only giving up 26 yards on the ground. The Wildcats were limited to three third down conversions on nine attempts and forced to punt five times. • Tennessee only conceded an average of 1.3 yards per rush attempt and 2.1 yards per play in the first half. • Kentucky didn’t find the red zone until 2:05 in the third quarter, having previously missed a 51- yard field goal wide right. UT totaled 11 third down stops and forced six four-and-outs in the game.

• The Wildcats came away empty handed yet again on another field goal attempt with 11:58 left to play in the game. Senior defensive lineman Shy Tuttle blocked a 30-yard attempt by Kentucky’s Chance Poore. It was the first time a Kentucky field goal had been blocked since Florida did so on Sept. 25, 2010. • For his career, Tuttle now has three blocks including two blocked field goals. The first was against Arkansas on Oct. 3, 2015. He also blocked a PAT attempt earlier this season at South Carolina (10/28). • Junior defensive back Marquill Osborne intercepted the first pass of his career against Kentucky with 4:52 left to play in the game. He then made his second career interception with 1:15 to go. UK has now thrown eight interceptions on the season and two in just one other game (Central Michigan on 9/1). This is the first time a Tennessee player has had two interceptions in a game since Todd Kelly Jr. had two against Oklahoma on Sept. 12, 2015.

Vols Hold Kentucky Scoreless in First Half

• Tennessee held No. 11 Kentucky scoreless in the first half of Saturday’s game, marking the first time since Sept. 10, 2016 at Florida that a Kentucky team was held to zero points in the first half. • In total, the Vols held the Wildcats without points for 43:04 of game time, extending until 1:56 remaining in the third quarter.

Taylor Records Historic Game

• Darrell Taylor recorded four sacks against Kentucky, just the third four-sack game in Tennessee history. Taylor joined (1983 vs. Citadel) and Corey Miller (2013 at Kentucky) as Vols with four sacks in a game. • Taylor also joined (2014) and Leonard Little (1996) as the only players in Tennessee history with multiple games of at least three sacks in the same season. • The performance was Taylor’s second multiple-sack game of the season. On Sept. 29 at Georgia, Taylor had three sacks, which was the first game since Oct. 29, 2016 that a Tennessee player had three sacks in a single game (Derek Barnett).

Upon Further Review • Theo Jackson was called for targeting with 6:09 left in the third quarter. The play was reviewed and reversed. There was no targeting on the play. • With 10:04 left in the fourth quarter, Ty Chandler fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Kentucky at the UT47. The play was reviewed and confirmed.
