PSA Oriental Mindoro Celebrates 2019 Civil Registration Month PSA Volume 1, Issue 2 JANUARY- MARCH 2019 PSA Oriental Mindoro celebrates IN THIS ISSUE 2019 Civil Registration Month PSA Oriental Mindoro celebrates The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Oriental Mindoro celebrated the Civil 2019 Civil Registration Month Registration Month (CRM) last February 2019 with the theme “Inclusive and responsive CRVS: Working Smarter through Innovation”. The CRM celebration aims to remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning PSA Oriental Mindoro observes status of persons and enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents. 2019 National Women’s Month Celebration To raise public awareness on the importance of civil registration, a kick off celebration for the 2019 Civil Registration Month was held on PSA OrMin Attendance to Civil February 1, 2019. A motorcade, followed by a Registration Activities short program, was organized by PSA Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) MIMAROPA through the support of PSA CSS Efren C. Armonia on his welcome Oriental Mindoro Provincial Statistical Office and message during the Kick off ceremony. the City Civil Registrar’s Office. CPI & Inflation Rate in the Province Mobile registrations and mass weddings in coordination with city/municipal registrars were conducted provincewide. Administrative Statistics Corner Refresher Seminar on PSA Memorandum Mass wedding in Calapan City Circulars about Civil Registration was also shared through workshop for the civil registrars of the province. The celebration is pursuant to the Presidential AgriStat Corner Proclamation No. 682 issued by then President Corazon Aquino on January 28, 1991 declaring LCROs Refresher Seminar on PSA the month of February as the month of Civil Memorandum Circulars Registration. Techno Demo on Soap Making for PSA Oriental Mindoro employees was conducted on March 22, 2019. Ms. Joy Fajutag of TESDA Oriental Mindoro was invited to demonstrate the process of making soap. HIV awareness and Women Empowerment & Strategic Communication lectures were also organized for PSA Oriental Mindoro employees last March 22 & 29, 2019, respectively. CHARLYN ROMERO-CANTOS PSA Provincial Office was invited and RO I Jomery Ann M. Navarro attended the Supervising Statistical Specialist said event. Davalos PSA Provincial Office was invited and AS Daniel A. Paquit attended the ceremony. A total of thirty-two (32) couples exchanged vows during the memorable event that Jomery Ann M. Navarro was officiated by Municipal Mayor Mark N. Marcos. Daniel A. Paquit Jeile L. Gandia Kasalang Bayan in Baco Municipal Civil Registry Office of Baco led by MCR Reymundo Aceveda conducted Ronalene R. Garcia Kasalang Bayan in Baco, Oriental Mindoro last February 14, 2019. It was officiated Mirasol F. Cena by Municipal Mayor Reynaldo Marco. AS Daniel A. Paquit witnessed the exchanged Princess Ederleen D. Alea of vows of twelve (12) couples during the event. Divina L. Mahusay Kasalang Bayan in Victoria Bernadette P. Molido Municipal Civil Registry Office of Victoria led by Atty. Aristedes A. Maramot Bjorn B. Galvez conducted Kasalang Bayan in Municipal Gymnasium of Victoria, Oriental Mindoro Evangeline P. Sumande last February 18, 2019. The event was attended by SSS Charlyn Romero-Cantos. Kasalang Bayan in Calapan City Civil Registry Office of Calapan led by CCR Deo Mar Francis Mauro conducted INFOGRAPHICS Kasalang Bayan in Oriental Mindoro National High School, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro last February 14, 2019. PSA Provincial Office was invited in the event and it was attended by SS II Pepito S. David . City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan officiated the wedding ceremony. A total of fifty-two (52) couples exchanged vows during the memorable event. Mobile Registration in Barangay Calero City Civil Registry Office of Calapan led by CCR Deo Mar Francis Mauro conducted Mobile Registration in Barangay Calero, Calapan City last February 12, 2019. RO I Jomery Ann M. Navarro, attended the said mobile registration. A total of 45 clients were registered on that day including Out of Town Registration. Mobile Registration in Banuton, Naujan Municipal Civil Registry Office of Naujan conducted Mobile Registration in Barangay Banuton, Naujan last February 20, 2019. RO I Jomery Ann M. Navarro attended the said mobile registration. A total of 86 Mangyans of Hanunuo Tribe were registered on that day. Mobile Registration in Panaytayan, Mansalay Municipal Civil Registry Office of Mansalay conducted Mobile Registration in Barangay Panaytayan, Mansalay last February 2019. RO I Jomery Ann M. Navarro and AS Daniel A. Paquit attended the said mobile registration. A total of 195 Mangyans of Bangon Tribe were registered. Mobile Registration in Villa Pag-asa, Bansud Municipal Civil Registry Office of Bansud conducted Mobile Registration in Sitio Apnagan, Barangay Villa Pag-asa, Bansud last February 20, 2019. SS II Myrna G. Magararu assisted in mobile registration. A total of six (6) were registered on that day of which were Indigenous People. Macroeconomy A. 2018 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) Among the 17 regions of the country, MIMAROPA ranked 2nd— together with Davao Region and next to Bicol Region—in terms of growth rate. Among the major economic sectors, the Industry sector recorded the fastest growth of 11.2 percent in 2018 from 1.6 percent in 2017. This was followed by the Services sector, which grew by 9.3 percent in 2018 from 8.7 percent in 2017. The Agriculture, Hunting, Fishery and Forestry (AHFF) sector also grew, but at a slower pace at 2.6 percent in 2018 from 3.0 percent in 2017 (refer to Table 1). Table 1.     31 October 2020 At 5:00 AM, TY "ROLLY" maintains its strength as it moves closer towards Bicol Region. The eye of Typhoon "ROLLY" was located based on all available data at 655 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes. TCWS No. 2 was raised over Catanduanes, the eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Albay, and Sorsogon. While TCWS No.1 was raised over Camarines Norte, the rest of Camarines Sur, Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, Oriental Mindoro, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and the southern portion of Isabela, Northern Samar, the northern portion of Samar, the northern portion of Eastern Samar, and the northern portion of Biliran. At 7:00 PM, the eye of TY "ROLLY" was located based on all available data at 280 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes. "ROLLY" maintains its strength as it threatens Bicol Region. The center of the eye of the typhoon is likely to make landfall over Catanduanes early morning of 01 November 2020, then it will pass over mainland Camarines Provinces tomorrow morning, and over mainland Quezon tomorrow afternoon. At 10:00 PM, the eye of TY "ROLLY" was located based on all available data including those from Virac and Daet Doppler Weather Radars at 185 km East of Virac, Catanduanes. Bicol Region is now under serious threat as TY "ROLLY" continues to move closer towards Catanduanes. Violent winds and intense to torrential rainfall associated with the inner rainband-eyewall region will be experienced over (1) Catanduanes tonight through morning; (2) Camarines Provinces and the northern portion of Albay including Rapu-Rapu Islands tomorrow early morning through afternoon.
