AFAD reported that during the last 24 hours , 1,092 Syrians were admitted and registered in the camps while 1081 Syrians voluntarily returned to Syria. • During the visit to Mardin Midyat camp, officials informed UNHCR Field Team that AFAD Mardin is continuing to register the non-camp Syrians living in Mardin province. Reportedly as of 20 Aug. 2013, over 33,000 non Camp Syrians have been registered by AFAD of whom the 97% are registered in Kiziltepe, Nusaybin, Midyat and Mardin city center. No ID card but a document is issued to those registered so to have access to medical assistance. • The officials of the Christian community in Midyat informed UNHCR that there are about 200 Assyrian Syrians living Midyat and some 80-90 are in Mardin city center. Reportedly they are supported by the local Christian community and also cash assistance by SASF- Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation. The community also informed the UNHCR Field Team that they are in close contact with the Christian Community in Syria and reportedly there are several thousands displaced within Syria. • While the fighting continues in Rasul Ayn across Ceylanpinar, it is reported in the national media that the Syrians continue to cross the border to Ceylanpinar. UNHCR Field Team is in close contact with the local officials to monitor the situation. Ceylanpinar camp officials informed UNHCR that during the weekend (17-18 Legend August), some 1,000 Syrians crossed from Rasul Ayn and came to Ceylanpinar camp. 500 of them were transferred to the container site in Malatya. In addition to 1,000 from Rasul Ayn, 200 more Syrians were Military Defectors transferred from Altinozu to Ceylanpinar camp. Current Tent Camps Antakya • AFAD Officials in Sanliurfa province informed UNHCR Field team that they have signed an agreement with Current Container the Pharmacists Union in Sanliurfa to cover the medicines of the non-camp Syrians who are registered and Container Camps Under issued ID cards by the coordination center. Reportedly 80% of the cost of the medicines will be covered by 0 18 37.5 75 112.5 150 AFAD while 20% will be charged to the beneficiary. For those in the camps, 100% of their medicines are Kilometres covered by AFAD.
