Seller Insight Ombersley is a charming village just a few miles from Droitwich Spa, containing several traditional black and white buildings, synonymous with this part of the country. A wonderful location for this enchanting, part timbered house set in attractive gardens, along a quiet lane and minutes from the centre of the village. Parts of the house date back to the 1700s, but a substantial extension was added in the 1980s which melds in perfectly with the unique tradition of the house. The present owners have added their own enhancements and additional comforts since coming to live here, but everything they have undertaken reflects the charm of its distinctive heritage and melds satisfyingly together. Rooms are well proportioned, and the layout of the house enables wonderful flexibility for family life. There is a special sociable flow throughout, with the spacious kitchen being the centre for day to day family life. There is a formal, spacious and elegant dining room which easily seats ten or more around the table. It is perfect for large gatherings, especially at Christmas when the candles are lit, the tree stands in the corner, and the room takes on a special, magical ambience. The garden has matured gracefully throughout the years. Mainly laid to lawn and bordered by herbaceous plants and shrubs. Having virtually no passing traffic, it is utterly peaceful here, and certainly a space in which to relax and savour the variety of visiting wildlife. Having such a tranquil setting, combined with the amenities indoors, it works well both as a family home and an entertaining space. Being surrounded by fabulous countryside offers endless opportunities to explore local lanes and footpaths. Cycling in the area is very special, and the River Severn is close by. The village is an absolute delight with everything required on the doorstep. Fabulous pubs, an outstanding restaurant, sport and leisure opportunities, and exceptional education opportunities are all so easy to access. Road and rail links are also very convenient, teemed with a good selection of urban centres such as Droitwich Spa, Stourport-on-Seven and Worcester.
