More on my jaw later, let’s focus on the non-arrest because despite being subjected to a pat-down and hand- cuffs, my boyfriend was indeed not arrested. He was then promptly let go, with little explanation.

A teddy bear Now, this guy of mine is over six feet tall and built like the linebacker he used to be, so I understand that some people could mistakenly think maybe he could be a threat when he’s dressed slightly slummy in basketball shorts and a hoodie. But the moment he opens his mouth and speaks, you know. The man is a teddy bear. A 30-year-old teddy bear who spends his time as a church deacon, inner-city charity vol- unteer and basketball coach. He’s a math teacher in training and a current gym teacher. He’s not the type of guy who reacts poorly to anything regardless of the level of stress. He’s responded to me saying irrational and mean things japandailypress.com with a simple, “That sounded like you need to talk ... ” in the past. So I find it hard to believe that he talked back or Nugget weather forecast got aggressive with the police, not that anyone says that he did.

The part of the situation that really grinds my gears is that at 11 p.m. after a long day at school, he was cuffed and detained, only to be let go shortly after when the police realized that the man who had just committed a violent armed robbery actually had hair. My boyfriend? Yeah, he doesn’t. Bald and embraces it. Yet there was no apology for the mistake they had made or the way that they had treated him while they made it. Maybe I’m just angry and over-reacting a bit.
