Jones UNTIL Technical Corps Room DS1-1432 • One UN Plaza New York, New York 10017 5 February 2003 Secretary-Marshall Wilhelm Carl Eckhardt UNTIL World Headquarters United Nations Building New York City, New York Dear Secretary-Marshall Eckhardt: On behalf of the entire Technical Corps, and the Superhuman Analysis Division in particular, I am pleased to present you with the third and latest edition of the UNTIL Superpowers Database, a summary of informa- tion about superhuman abilities developed by the Division over the past several years. Building on the work of his predecessors, Antonio Villareal has assembled what I believe to be the most comprehensive and accurate archive of information regarding superhuman powers ever assembled. Of course, this document is just a distillation of the entire database, which is far too large to print in one volume. It contains the essence of the data — descriptions of hundreds of catalogued superpowers, organized by type and function. Within each category of powers (Air Powers, Cyberkinetic Powers, Ice/Cold Powers, and so forth), Deputy Director Villareal has selected not only the most common abilities, but some of the more unusual and intriguing ones, to showcase the incredibly broad range of superpowers displayed by the world’s metahu- mans. You can access the vast bulk of the data — test results, analytical reports, and the like — through the HUGIN computer network if you, or any other agent, wishes to know more. Our data on superhuman abilities contains many gaps. Some powers we know about only from eyewitness reports rather than controlled scientifi c testing, for example. Fortunately, thanks to the cooperation of numerous superheroes, and even help from some supercriminals eager to reduce their sentences, we have obtained veri- fi able test results for most of the powers described in this report. With this project complete, the Superhuman Analysis Division is proceeding with the creation of The UNTIL Supercriminal Tactical Reference Manual (USTRM), a tactical guide for agents facing superpowered foes in the fi eld. Early drafts of part of the work are already available; I will keep you informed of the team’s progress via my weekly reports. As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact me at your convenience. Gideon H. • An Introduction to the KODT Articles Catalog (Issues #1 - #125)
An Introduction To The KODT Articles Catalog (Issues #1 - #125) This catalog sprang from my desire to find my favorite KODT articles by a means other than opening random issues and hoping to strike pay dirt. It was initially just going to be a reference to the gaming material in the Game Master’s Workshop and Player’s Advantage sections. Jason Zavoda and others had already compiled thorough lists of some of the other regular departments (available in the Forums Area of the Kenzerco website) and I didn’t think there was a need to improve on them. But as I cracked open issue #1, I thought, heck if I’m going to go through every issue, I might as well be comprehensive. Had I know then that this list would run to around two thousand entries I’d have stuck with my original plan. I really should have taken a closer look at all those fat issues late in the run. So what does this catalog include? Just about everything except the actual KODT strips, Cries from the Attic, Table Talk, One-Two Punches, Back Room at the Games Pit, Game Vine, News and Parting Shots. Oh and Ads. I don’t do Ads. Why didn’t I include all that? Because I do have a life, and this catalog needed to be of somewhat reasonable length to remain useful. Which brings me to how this catalog is organized. I decided early on it would be a waste of time trying to do this alphabetically by title or author.
