Bit scary and I would say a number of you may have to go through beginner lessons again and also wear name tags lol. On the 9th of May the national association had their AGM with a number of clubs from throughout New Zealand that were involved. First time ever we had to run the meeting through zoom so talking to 40 odd people from around the country was quite weird but it worked. A number of remits were discussed and voted on with a collection of changes mostly good but a few I didn’t agree with but you all can see it all on the association website if you are interested in looking . Also senior and junior nationals were voted on where they should be hosted and that is also advertised on their website. Juniors next year will be in Porirua and Seniors will be in Wanganui.

  • Rock`N Roll † – Chuck Berry (90) Hat Sich Auf
Gibson ES-355 Bigsby 60s Beatles und Rolling Stones, ja auch die Beach Boys hatten enormen Erfolg mit Berry Kompositionen wie Maybellene, Roll over Beethoven, You never can tell, Sweet little Sixteen, Memphis Tennessee, und natürlich Johnny Be Good. Obwohl Johnny ein begnadeter Gitarrist ist (who never ever learned to read or write so well..but he could play a guitar just like a ringing a bell) , hat Chuck Berry den Song eigentlich dem Pianisten Johnnie Johnson gewidmet, in dessen Band er ab den 1960ern fast 20 Jahre gespielt hat. Die Yardbirds mit dem gerade zum Überflieger propagierten Eric Clapton spielten 1964 Berrys „Too Much Monkey Business“ mit zwei überragenden Gitarrensoli (5 live Yardbirds) und die Rolling Stones verwendeten auf ihren ersten Alben die LiederAround and Around, Carol, Little Queenie, Come on und Bobby Troups 1946er Komposition Route 66 in der Version von Chuck Berry.

Silver Eagle USA Discography by Mike Callahan, David Edwards & Patrice Eyries © 2018 by Mike Callahan Silver Eagle Discography Silver Eagle was a Canadian company headquartered near Toronto at 115 Apple Creek Blvd., Markham, Ontario, Canada. The label was a subsidiary of LaBuick & Associates Media, Inc., and label President was Ed LaBuick. The Media company specialized in TV marketing, and in addition to Silver Eagle also promoted Time-Life. In addition to LPs, Cassettes, and CDs, Silver Eagle also released videos. They established an office in the US at 4 Centre Drive, Orchard Park, NY (later, 777 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, CA), and often licensed product from the Special Products Divisions of the major record labels. They typically would pre-sell an album using 2-minute TV spots in stations across the country, then use that demand to place product in retail stores. They had their own manufacturing plant and distribution system, and according to LaBuick, sold many millions of albums. LaBuick later became head of the Music Division and Special Products Division of the major Quality Label in Canada. Note: All distributed by Silver Eagle unless noted otherwise.
