Their last Premiership was → Ron Barassi was the captain of Melbourne Demons in 1964. in 1964. → There is a statue of Ron Barassi at the MCG Melbourne Football club is the oldest professional sporting club in → Melbourne Demons and the Geelong Cats are the two oldest AFL teams in the world starting in 1858. the league.
