He was a two-time all-conference 1994-95 21 9 .700 1st/NAIA National Tournament performer in basketball and led the Swedes to back-to-back KCAC titles in 1980 and 1981. He was also a 1993-94 16 12 .571 4th/KCAC Tournament member of the NAIA All-District 10 basketball team in 1981.
