One of MMA’s most recognizable names, the wildly popular former internet sensation Kimbo Slice has signed an exclusive, multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA and will make his promotional debut later this year. Bellator officially announced the signing moments ago on Spike TV during the “Bellator: Pitbull vs. Straus” event when Bellator’s Jimmy Smith caught up with the Miami slugger via Skype (#technology). “I’ve been trying to keep busy as much as possible,” said Slice. “Been boxing over the past couple of years. My current record [as a boxer] is 7-0. Bellator is up there in the tops and they’re giving me the opportunity to fight on primetime and Spike TV. You know you can’t resist Spike TV. “You gotta think, I’m still hungry out there. I haven’t got my fill yet. Whoever steps up to the plate, they got to bring it. I’m comin to get it.” “Anyone who has been to a Kimbo Slice fight has felt a thick, electric, tension in the air,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “The man has a proven knack for evoking excitement every time he steps inside a cage, and that fits perfectly with the kind of fights we aim to put together.” Born in the Bahamas and raised in Florida, Slice started his combat sports career on the streets of Miami, where he competed in unsanctioned prize fights on camera.

THE ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP (UFC) The evolution of the sport The UFC is the most exciting combat sport in the world because there are so many ways to win and so many ways to lose…..Boxing is your father`s sport. Dana White What makes UFC so great is that every single man on the planet gets it immediately. It`s just two guys beating each other up. Lorenzo Fertitta We`re not for everyone, and we don`t try to be. If you don`t like fighting sport, great, this is America, that`s your right. All we ask is that people understand what we are. Dana White In early February od 2010, Bryan Johnston, the chief marketing officer for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), returned to his office at Zuffa LLC, the parent company for the UFC, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was frustrated by the numerous athlete injuries that continue plague scheduled events, most recently UFC 108 on January 2, 2010. This situation gave him cause to reflect on some much bigger issues he had been dealing with since leaving his role as vice president of partner marketing at Burton Snowboards to join the UFC and take full control of the organization`s marketing activities in June 2009. Johnston was the first denior memeber of the firm who did not come from a background in boxing or television. He felt a great deal of pressure to ensure that the UFC continued to meet the high expectations that had been set by its phenomenal early success. The name UFC had become synonymous with mixed martial arts across North America.

Harris Creek Baptist Church Jonathan Pokluda Series: The Shepherd in the Psalm April 25, 2021 The Shepherd Comforts and Protects Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever – Amen! It is great to be with you. If you are a guest with us, welcome home! I am so glad that you can be a part of this family this morning as we dive into the Word of God. If we have not met, my name is JP Jonathan Pokluda – and I have the privilege of serving on staff here at Harris Creek. I want to start with a question. Have you ever been at a sporting event, and you are sitting in the wrong section? You know what I mean? Has that ever happened to you? You go and you are cheering for the visitor, but you are sitting in the home section. You are cheering for the red team, and you look around you and you just see a sea of blue people. And you do not want to cheer too loudly, because they seem kind of angry and they might turn on you. And you are kind of sitting in that awkward tension. You feel as though you are in the wrong place as at it relates to this event. Has this ever happened to anyone? Good. This happened to me in the strangest sporting venue you can imagine.
