• The Tar Heels have beaten Duke seven times in a row and 20 times in the last 21 meetings. Carolina leads the overall series, 58‐35‐4. Today’s win was the 11 th consecutive win for the Tar Heels in Durham.

• Carolina is now 7‐5 this year and is assured of finishing with a winning record for the third year in a row. That is the longest streak of winning seasons since UNC accomplished that from 1990 to 1998.

• Carolina improved to 4‐1 on the road this year with wins at Rutgers, at Virginia, at Florida State and at Duke.

• Carolina had a season‐high 519 yards of total offense. The previous high was 479 at Virginia. The last time Carolina had 500 yards of offense was 545 vs. Miami in 2004.

• Carolina ran a season‐high 81 plays from scrimmage (previous was 79 vs. LSU). The Tar Heels had the ball for a season‐high 39 minutes and 33 seconds (previous high 35:36 vs. East Carolina).

• Carolina did not commit a turnover today, the fourth time this season the Tar Heels did not lose a fumble or have a pass intercepted. UNC is 4‐0 in those games – wins over East Carolina, Clemson, Florida State and Duke.

• The Tar Heels equaled a season high today with 25 first downs against the Blue Devils (also had 25 vs. ECU). Carolina had 14 more first downs than Duke, the largest margin in that category this year (previous was plus nine against LSU in the season opener).

• Senior T.J. Yates completed 28 of 35 for 264 yards today. Yates became Carolina’s single‐season leader in completions on his fourth completed pass today (14‐yarder to Elzy). He has 259 completions this year. The previous record was 234 by Darian Durant in 2003.

• Yates finishes the regular season with career passing stats of 772 completions in 1,238 attempts for 9,143 yards and 57 touchdowns. He holds UNC career records for completions, attempts, yards and completion percentage (.624) and is second in touchdowns.

• Wide receiver Dwight Jones had a career‐high 11 catches for 121 yards. It was his fourth 100‐yard receiving game this year (233 vs. Florida State, 198 vs. Virginia, 121 at Duke and 107 vs. William and Mary). He has gone over 100 yards receiving in four of the last seven games after catching 12 passes for 104 yards in the first five games this year.

• Jones has 57 catches for 895 yards this year, the sixth‐most receptions and receiving yards in a season by a Tar Heel (45 catches in the last seven games).

• Anthony Elzy had 23 carries for a career‐high 116 rushing yards and became the fourth different Tar Heel to for more than 100 yards vs. Duke in the last four years. Greg Little had 154 yards in an overtime win in Chapel Hill in 2007, Shaun Draughn rushed for 110 yards in 2008 and Ryan Houston rushed for 164 yards on 37 carries last season in a 19‐6 victory in Chapel Hill. Elzy’s previous single‐game high was 95 yards on 25 carries vs Miami in 2007.

• Elzy’s 116 rushing yards are the most in an ACC game by a Tar Heel in 2010. Johnny White rushed for 113 yards in the first conference game this year against Georgia Tech. That was the only other 100‐yard rushing game by a Tar Heel in ACC play this year.

• Carolina has now had a player rush for 100 yards or more on 36 occasions vs. Duke, including six of the last seven meetings.

• TE Ryan Taylor posted career highs with six receptions and 75 receiving yards today. Over the last two weeks, Taylor has made 11 catches for 132 yards.

• Carolina held the Blue Devils to just 12 rushing yards, the fewest by an opponent this season (previous low was 51 by William and Mary; previous low by an ACC opponent was 91 by Clemson).

• Place‐kicker Casey Barth converted his 67 th consecutive extra point to set a school record. Jeff Reed held the previous mark of 66, which he set in 2000‐01. Barth also kicked a 25‐yard field goal in the first half, his ninth straight. He later missed a 41‐ yarder in the third quarter.

Herman Davidson recorded his first career sack in the fourth quarter.

• Cornerback Kendric Burney picked off his first pass of the season and 10 th in his career.

• Carolina has given up a safety in consecutive games. Last week, T.J. Yates was tackled in the end zone by NC State. Today, Duke stopped Shaun Draughn in the end zone. Both plays came in the fourth quarter of therespective games.
