SECRETARY NOTES FROM OUR JUNE MEETING ...... à Alex Dunn asked that everyone remember to help contribute to the club room utilities and expenses by dropping a few buck in the can each Friday night and meeting afternoon. We are doing fine with the Church money collection so far. Keep it up. Members who do not attend that would like to help support the club facilities are encouraged to send the money to Alex or Scott to put in the kitty. à Approved Treasurer’s report and expenditures for Newsletters and membership renewals / bills, postcards and letters. à Approved each member to select a friend or picker and we’ll give them one free years membership. Send Alex or Scott the membership info for new members (listed below) and we’ll put them on our free 1 year membership list and send them a welcome letter and begin sending the Newsletter. à Member Bob Rucker’s offer to record and produce a Club CD or CDs still stands. Bob is now retired and will have more time and perhaps more accomodating hours for you to get in and get something on a CD. Anyone who wants to be on the CD should contact Alex, Chris or Bob directly to arrange a date and time. Members are urged to participate...... can’t beat your recording price....$0. We’ll buy copies only and pay just for materials at that. à We can use any of the church rooms so members can feel free to break off from the picking circle and find a quiet room to learn a song or just pick together. à The Holiday Inn Express at I-64 and Blankenbaker Road will discount to $40 per night for members.
