As Yankee fans, we all know the great stories of the championship years but Jorge gives us a deeper look into his role, the clubhouse and the meaning of team. His story of growing up with a father who taught him to be a man and a mother to balance it all out is touching. Jorge's story takes you on a journey from boyhood to the major leagues and beyond. It also tugs and your heart strings as you learn what he and Laura went through with their beautiful son. Jorge did a great job in this book of not only describing what it took to become a Yankee but also the drive and dedication it took to win 5 Rings.His inside stories about his family and the overcoming of difficult times gave the book even more depth. It was sad to read about the lack of respect that some individuals in theYankee Organization showed to this "Warrior" during his final year in baseball.
