  • Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl Returns October 17
BERGSTROM STATELINE QUIZ BOWL RETURNS OCTOBER 17 Popular Half-Hour Television Show to Air for 31-straight Weeks ROCKFORD, Illinois – (October 5, 2015) – The Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl is back, bigger and better than ever! The popular half-hour television show kicks off its 31-week-run Saturday, October 17, at 6:30pm on WTVO Channel 17 and Sunday, October 18, at 9:30pm on WQRF FOX 39. Eyewitness News anchor Nick Toma will again serve as the show’s host. This year, he’ll be testing the knowledge of students from 32 local high schools, an increase from the 22 that competed during the inaugural season. The season premiere of the Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl features Season One champion Auburn High School and Dixon High School competing for the chance to win tens-of-thousands of dollars in scholarships to Northern Illinois University. WTVO/WQRF created the Bergstrom Stateline Quiz Bowl to increase awareness of the importance of education in Northern Illinois and to highlight, challenge and reward the community’s best and brightest students. “The show exceeded my every expectation,” says Kelly Lattimer, VP/General Manager of WQRF-TV, which provides services to WTVO-17 and produced the program. “From the start, we had wanted to create something that had mass and community-wide appeal. Based on positive feedback from the community and TV ratings, I feel we are accomplishing that. As a local broadcaster serving the community it's the kind of show we should be doing. It just makes for great TV for our local viewers and it puts the spotlight on continued improvement in education.” Lattimer adds that the show would not be possible without the continued support from partners Bergstrom Inc.

NEXSTAR MEDIA INC. APPOINTS MICHAEL SILECCHIA VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF ITS BROADCAST AND DIGITAL OPERATIONS IN ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS Media Executive with Nearly 20 Years of Local Broadcast Experience Will Oversee WQRF-TV, mystateline.com, and Mission Broadcasting Inc.’s WTVO-TV IRVING, TX and ROCKFORD, IL (Aug. 16, 2021) – Nexstar Media Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST), today announced that Michael Silecchia has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of its broadcast and digital operations in Rockford, Illinois, (DMA #139), overseeing WQRF-TV (FOX), mystateline.com, and their related mobile and social media channels. Mr. Silecchia will also oversee the Company’s operational agreements with Mission Broadcasting, Inc., providing services to WTVO-TV (ABC) in Rockford. He will assume his new responsibilities immediately and report to Traci Wilkinson, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Nexstar Media Inc.’s broadcasting division. Mr. Silecchia is a veteran broadcast executive with nearly 20 years of sales leadership experience and a long track record of improving revenue growth and profitability throughout his career. He most recently served as Director of Sales for KOKH-TV (FOX) and KOCB-TV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he transformed the sales team and grew the advertising market share of both stations. Mr. Silecchia is very familiar with Nexstar, having previously served as the Director of Sales for the Company’s broadcast and digital operations in Fresno, California, from 2013 to 2016, overseeing sales for KSEE-TV (NBC), KGPE-TV (CBS), and yourcentralvalley.com. Under Mr. Silecchia’s leadership, KOKH-TV’s daytime lifestyle program, “Living Oklahoma,” attracted an array of new advertisers, and the station launched two new sponsored sports-related programs, “Tailgating Oklahoma,” during the college football season, and “Friday Night Rivals,” focused on the area’s high school football teams.

  • List of Directv Channels (United States)
List of DirecTV channels (United States) Below is a numerical representation of the current DirecTV national channel lineup in the United States. Some channels have both east and west feeds, airing the same programming with a three-hour delay on the latter feed, creating a backup for those who missed their shows. The three-hour delay also represents the time zone difference between Eastern (UTC -5/-4) and Pacific (UTC -8/-7). All channels are the East Coast feed if not specified. High definition Most high-definition (HDTV) and foreign-language channels may require a certain satellite dish or set-top box. Additionally, the same channel number is listed for both the standard-definition (SD) channel and the high-definition (HD) channel, such as 202 for both CNN and CNN HD. DirecTV HD receivers can tune to each channel separately. This is required since programming may be different on the SD and HD versions of the channels; while at times the programming may be simulcast with the same programming on both SD and HD channels. Part time regional sports networks and out of market sports packages will be listed as ###-1. Older MPEG-2 HD receivers will no longer receive the HD programming. Special channels In addition to the channels listed below, DirecTV occasionally uses temporary channels for various purposes, such as emergency updates (e.g. Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike information in September 2008, and Hurricane Irene in August 2011), and news of legislation that could affect subscribers. The News Mix channels (102 and 352) have special versions during special events such as the 2008 United States Presidential Election night coverage and during the Inauguration of Barack Obama.
