television screens throughout the country are tuned to Arouse Yourself on the cable television station Harlot TV, just one of the many Sex TV Stations available. Harlot TV is a Three X classified station, which means that it is considered responsible enough to broadcast hard core porn, but hasn’t yet got a Four X classification allowing it to go to the very edge of Sex Broadcasting. For years, Harlot TV has struggled to attain this status: broadcasting serious Sex Documentaries, serious Sex Discussion programs and commissioning drama programs where sex, although the obvious raison d’être, is supported by reasonable story-lines and scripted dialogue. In the Arouse Yourself studio, there are three naked people. One is Frank, the show’s host, and another is one of today’s guests, a top magazine model Samantha. Frank has his prick firmly up Samantha’s cunt (not her arse, as this is Breakfast Television and rules have to obeyed) and the television cameras are alternating between shots of the penetration and Samantha’s ecstatic facial expressions (which are probably as much faked as on the cover of the magazines in which Samantha appears). The hostess of the show, Anna, has put on a bath-robe and is wiping her cunt dry with a tissue. A few items ago, she had had sex with another guest on a Sexual Exercises Item. She is seven months pregnant and part of the theme of her continued appearance is that sex is still compatible with pregnancy. The third naked person is Emma. She is not having sex, has not had sex today and has no intention of doing

I’m French and have been living in New Zealand since 2001. I’m an artist. A painter. Each week I check “The Big idea” website for any open call for artists. On Saturday the 29th of June 2013, I answered an artist call titled: “Artist for a fringe campaign on Porn” posted by the organisation: The Porn Project. This diary documents the process of my work around this project. I’m not a writer and English is not even my first language. Far from a paper, this diary only serves one purpose: documenting my process while working on ‘The Porn Project’. Note: I have asked my friend Becky to proof-read the diary to make sure my ‘FrenchGlish’ is not too distracting for English readers. But her response was “your FrenchGlish is damn cute”. ARE WE KILLING THE BOYS HARSHLY? THE CONSUMPTION OF THE MALE GAZE IN QUEER PAGES Aron Lee Christian Submitted to the faculty of the University Graduate School in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree Master of Arts in the Department of Communication Studies Indiana University August 2010 Accepted by the Faculty of Indiana University, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts. ___________________________________ Elizabeth M. Goering, Ph.D. Chair ___________________________________ Catherine A. Dobris, Ph.D. Master’s Thesis Committee ___________________________________ Kristine B. Karnick, Ph.D. ii Dedication I dedicate this thesis to the idea of change—the type of change that Anne Frank wrote about in her diary. Frank left a legacy that echoes the world over in which she tells us, “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” While this thesis took many moments of my life to complete, it is my hope that this research causes a moment for those that come across it. In that moment, I hope your world changes. I hope you reach out to improve the human condition for any that have been persecuted or been discriminated against for simply being who they are. If you have been one of the persecuted many, I hope you find strength in realizing that there are individuals fighting for you, and I hope that strength guides you to help others. Above all, I dedicate this work to those who find the fortitude and hopeful ambition of creating a better tomorrow one moment at a time.

  • Roll a D100 42 Times (Subsequent Rerolls Will, Almost Certainly, Be Called for However)
The Serious Business Waifu CYOA v. 2.0 by NyuuLucy “because pictures are for casuals” Note: Its easier if instead of rolling in post you use a dedicated dice roller like https://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm Roll a D100 42 times (subsequent rerolls will, almost certainly, be called for however) ● Your waifu posseses [20] total trait slots. ● To fill these slots you must first freely select 1 trait from any of the categories. ● Her second trait slot must be filled by a trait from the “Endearing Foible” category. To determine which foible roll twice on the foible chart and pick one. ● The remaining slots may be filled by selecting traits freely from your PTP (potential trait pool). Your potential trait pool is generated by rolling for a specified number of traits from each category. To ensure no single category is over or under represented traits from each individual category must fill a specified minimum number of slots and may not fill more than a specified maximum number of slots. ● If you dislike all of your available traits from a given category you may reroll that category however for each such reroll you must fill an additional slot with a foible generated in the same manner as the first (roll two pick one) allowing fewer total choices from your PTP. ● If you roll the same number more than once when rolling for a particular category that trait instantly and irrevocably occupies a trait slot ● If you should happen to roll 47 twice at the same time you must roll once on the Critical Hit category (these options do not occupy trait slots) ● Some traits provide an additional “bonus Trait” unless otherwise specified they do not occupy one of your 20 trait slots enabling your waifu to posses more than 20 total traits.

  • Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival Collection, 1988-2007
CONNECTICUT GAY AND LESBIAN FILM FESTIVAL COLLECTION Film Festival Logos History The Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival began as a project of the cultural organization Alternatives. Alternatives: the Hartford Gay and Lesbian Cultural Organization, Inc. was founded in 1988 to promote and encourage lesbian and gay talent and to provide a forum for scholarship, art and literature that spoke positively to the lesbian/gay experience. It is a nonprofit organization incorporated with the state. The co-chairs were Alicia Davis, Bill Mann and Terri Reid; Secretary, Derek-Stefan Johns; and Treasurer Scott Laugenour. Alternatives met every third Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center, 495 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. The organization was composed of various subcommittees: Visual Arts (which produced the Film Festival); Literature; Scholarship and Heritage; Music; Performance; and Publicity/Calendar. In addition, monthly salons were held to encourage members in the development of the various arts. Annual Subscribers’ fees were $15.00. In its early days it produced the play “The Haunted Host”; sponsored an Alternative Art Exhibition; presented Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, Professor of English at Amherst College, speaking on gay aspects of classic literature; and hosted several musical and video salons. Alternatives issued a short lived literary periodical entitled Invert. The Hartford Lesbian and Gay film Festival evolved into the Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The film festival celebrated its 20th anniversary

Girth & Mirth: Ethnography of a Social Club for Big Gay Men and Their Admirers Dissertation Presented in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Doctor of Philosophy in the Graduate School of The Ohio State University By Jason Andrew Whitesel, M.A. Sociology Graduate Program The Ohio State University 2009 Dissertation Committee: Professor Townsand Price-Spratlen, Advisor Professor Amy Shuman Professor Steve Lopez Copyright by Jason Andrew Whitesel 2009 Abstract “Girth & Mirth: Ethnography of a Social Club for Big Gay Men and Their Admirers” documents performances at Girth & Mirth group events and examines how participants use allusion and campy-queer behavior to reconfigure and reclaim their body images. Girth & Mirth started as a national social movement organization in the 1970s in response to weight discrimination in the gay community and provides a social network for big gay men and their relatively few supportive others. This work explores how big gay men experience size as a marginalizing status and how they seek dignity and respect in spite of their marginal position. Gay men, as a subaltern group, have their own hierarchy, and this work questions whether the social consequences of failure to be height-weight proportionate should be so high in the gay community. To explore how big gay men manage concepts of shame and pride, I use interviews with and participant observation of members of Girth & Mirth at charity fundraisers, weekend retreats, pride parades, café klatches, restaurants, and potlucks. Sociological research provides a lens to understand the role of social organizations in effecting change and reformulating identities. This study builds on the work of Erving Goffman (1963), who examined how stigmatized individuals manage their identities against medicalized or pathologized social categories.

1 Grero: The Masculine Gender and Cure for Heterosexuality (or: Did You Know You're Not Straight?) [Visit grero.com for the free audiobook and forum.] Once upon a time, there was a world where the love between men wasn't merely tolerated but understood as an attribute and requirement of masculinity. Their philosophers debated just how much better was the love between men. In their epics that codified their sacred virtues, their mythical heroes loved one another just as often as their gods took mortal men as boyfriends. As lovers, male couples slayed tyrants at home and vanquished enemies abroad. In politics, almost all of their emperors loved men. But this is not a fairytale: such was the documented history of the Greco-Roman world spanning a millennium. What changed? And how?
