SUBJECT: CBE Recommendation: Sponsorship Signage

The Athletics Department and A&M Ventures are seeking approval for sponsorship requests at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park, Davis Diamond Softball Stadium, and Kyle Field Stadium. These requests would require graphics/signage at each facility.

• AARP is interested in sponsoring the home radio booth at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The sigt1age would be on the face of the press box. • Chickfila would like the opportunity to sponsor the foul poles at both baseball and softball fi eld s. Any possible impairment to the foul poles, either with in stallation or removal, would be very minimal. • A Ford sponsorship request is to be placed on the outside of Kyle Field Stadium next to the Hall of Champions signage.

MARCOMM has seen and approved the renderings from a marketing and branding standpoint, as it fits within the overall brand strategy of Texas A&M.

This request is tied to a multi-media rights contract that allows the university to seek sponsorship tied to television/radio sponsorship for static signs and venues and also indicates corporate signage. Page 427 of the Campus Master Plan addresses Commercial, Temporary and Mi scellaneous Signs:

To provide a consistent signage plan for Texas A&M Un iversity, exterior-facing commercial signage (those specifically intended to be viewed by the general public), other than outlined in these recommendations, is not permitted on the university campus. Exceptions may occur within the Athletics and Recreation, as the Department ofInt ercollegiate Athletics, which has the most needfor graphic signage exposure as per agreements with media. Interior facing graphic signage is Left to the discretion of the department that occupies those facilities.

The CBE voted to recommend the President's approval of Athletics' request for sponsorship requests requiring graphics/signage at O lsen Field at Blue Bell Park, Davis Diamond Softball Stadium, and Kyle Field Stadium.

AARP is interested in sponsoring the home radio booth at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The signage is on the face of the press box (see attached example).

Chiclcfila would like the opportunity to sponsor the foul poles at both baseball and softball (see attached example). Chickfila does this promotion with almost every one of their college/MLB partners. Any possible impairment to the foul poles, either with installation or removal, would be very minimal.

Please see attached rendering regarding a Ford sponsorship request to be placed on the outside of Kyle Field Stadium next to the Hall of Champions signage. Shane Hincldey has seen and approved the rendering from a marketing and branding standpoint, as it fits within the overall brand strategy of Texas A&M.
