Alliance High School Blood Day 1995

Rod Steed allowed us to follow him through the bloodletting process. He manages a smile while the nurse pricks his ear (above), but when the time comes to give, he begins to look a little queasy (below left). When he's finished donating, he receives assistance from Cara DeVault. The annual spring blood drive brought in 140 pints of blood, not quite surpassing the goal of 150. The school nurse, Mrs. Grisez, felt, though, that the seniors worked hard to make it a success. The committee chair people were: Cara DeVault (escort), Jaime Russo (canteen), and Tammy Leek (quali fying station). The coordinators for Blood Day were John Ritchie, Ryan Case, and Danielle Johnson.

Students anxiously await their turn to give blood after completing their information forms.

The 1995 Prom at Alliance High School was developed under the theme of "Arabian Nights". The jun iors and seniors of Alliance had a magical night of dancing, music and fun in the high school gymnasium which was transformed into an Arabic paradise, complete with palm trees, flowers, and mysterious stars. The colors for the evening were purple, mauve and gold. Derek Oney and Jaime Russo were chosen as the king and queen of the evening. They opened the dance floor for the rest of the couples with "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," by Jaime Russo and Derek Oney are the royal couple of the night. Elton John. 26 Seniors, escorted by Mr. Bailor and Ms. Fisher and chauffered by Leroy the bus driver, traveled to Washington D.C. for a jam-packed three day tour. Among other things, the students saw the Presiden tial memorials, the Vietnam War memorial, some of the ^HBWHH Smithsonian museums, and the National Archives, and at tended a session of Congress and a comedic play entitled "Sheer Madness". Added bo nuses to the trip that were not on the original schedule in cluded a trip to the Folger's Shakespeare Library, a punch ing bag contest, and an encore performance of "The Suffocator"

Leeza Glazier admires all the door prizes

The Class of '95 held its Senior All-Nighter at the Canton Hall of Fame Fitness Center. They enjoyed activities such as swimming, tennis, miniature golf, raquetball, a volleyball tourna ment, a basketball tournament and a euchre tournament. In addition to that they enjoyed a disc jockey, karaoke, caricature drawings, and a variety of foods. Every senior left with a valuable prize but even more important, precious memories.
