Here we report on the composition of the Cliffs of Insanity (COI) microvertebrate locality, a newly sampled site containing perhaps one of the densest concentrations of microvertebrate fossils yet discovered in the Mussentuchit Member. Acta Palaeontologica Polonica 58 (2): 295–324. A new albanerpetontid, Wesserpeton evansae gen. et sp. nov., from the Early Cretaceous (Barremian) Wessex Formation of the Isle of Wight, southern England, is described. Wesserpeton is established on the basis of a unique combination of primitive and derived characters relating to the frontals and jaws which render it distinct from currently recognized albanerpetontid genera: Albanerpeton (Late Cretaceous to Pliocene of Europe, Early Cretaceous to Paleocene of North America and Late Cretaceous of Asia); Celtedens (Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous of Europe); and Anoualerpeton (Middle Jurassic of Europe and Early Cretaceous of North Africa). Although Wesserpeton exhibits considerable intraspecific variation in characters pertaining to the jaws and, to a lesser extent, frontals, the new taxon differs from Celtedens in the shape of the internasal process and gross morphology of the frontals in dorsal or ventral view. It differs from Anoualerpeton in the lack of pronounced heterodonty of dentary and maxillary teeth; and in the more medial loca− tion and direction of opening of the suprapalatal pit. The new taxon cannot be referred to Albanerpeton on the basis of the morphology of the frontals. Wesserpeton currently represents the youngest record of Albanerpetontidae in Britain. SCHWIMMER Department of Earth and Space Sciences, Columbus State University, Columbus, GA 31907 USA, [email protected] Abstract—Associated with abundant bones, teeth and osteoderms of the giant eusuchian Deinosuchus rugosus are larger concretionary masses of consistent form and composition. It is proposed that these are crocodylian coprolites, and further, based on their size and abundance, that these are coprolites of Deinosuchus. The associated coprolite assemblage also contains additional types that may come from smaller crocodylians, most likely species of the riverine/estuarine genus Borealosuchus, which is represented by bones, osteoderms and teeth in fossil collections from the same site. INTRODUCTION The Upper Cretaceous Blufftown Formation in western Georgia contains a diverse perimarine and marine vertebrate fauna, including many sharks and bony fish (Case and Schwimmer, 1988), mosasaurs, plesio- saurs, turtles (Schwimmer, 1986), dinosaurs (Schwimmer et al., 1993), and of particular interest here, abundant remains of the giant eusuchian crocodylian Deinosuchus rugosus (Schwimmer and Williams, 1996; Schwimmer, 2002). Together with bite traces attributable to Deinosuchus (see Schwimmer, this volume), there are more than 60 coprolites recov- ered from the same formation, including ~30 specimens that appear to be of crocodylian origin. It is proposed here that the larger coprolites are from Deinosuchus, principally because that is the most common large tetrapod in the vertebrate bone assemblage from the same locality, and it is assumed that feces scale to the producer (Chin, 2002). -

Yaksha Perettii
Yaksha perettii Yaksha perettii is an extinct species of albanerpetontid amphibian, and the only species in the genus Yaksha. It is known from three Yaksha perettii specimens found in Cenomanian aged Burmese amber from Temporal range: Early Cenomanian Myanmar. The remains of Yaksha perettii are the best preserved of 99 Ma all albanerpetontids, which usually consist of isolated fragments or ↓ crushed flat, and have provided significant insights in the PreꞒ Ꞓ O S D C P T J K PgN morphology and lifestyle of the group. Evans, a researcher who has extensively worked on †Yaksha perettii albanerpetontids, recognised the specimen as belonging to the Daza et al, 2020 group.[3] Subsequently, another specimen was discovered in the collection of gemologist Dr. Adolf Peretti, which would later become the holotype specimen.[4] The paper describing Yaksha perettii was published in November 2020 in the journal Science.[1] Description The species is known from three specimens, the small juvenile skeleton described in the 2016 paper (JZC Bu154), a complete adult skull and lower jaws (GRS-Ref-060829), and a partial adult postcranium (GRSRef- 27746). -

The reptile remains known from the Danian of Transylvania will be mentioned only incidentally. Concerning the literature, I believe in refraining from more exact citations, since this work presents only a preliminary note. -
From the Late Cretaceous (Campanian) Kanguk Formation of Axel Heiberg Island, Nunavut, Canada, and Its Ecological and Geographical Implications MATTHEW J
ARCTIC VOL. 67, NO. 1 (MARCH 2014) P. 1 – 9 A Hadrosaurid (Dinosauria: Ornithischia) from the Late Cretaceous (Campanian) Kanguk Formation of Axel Heiberg Island, Nunavut, Canada, and Its Ecological and Geographical Implications MATTHEW J. VAVREK,1 LEN V. HILLS2 and PHILIP J. CURRIE3 (Received 1 October 2012; accepted in revised form 30 May 2013) ABSTRACT. A hadrosaurid vertebra was recovered during a palynological survey of the Upper Cretaceous Kanguk Formation in the eastern Canadian Arctic. This vertebra represents the farthest north record of any non-avian dinosaur to date. Although highly abraded, the fossil nonetheless represents an interesting biogeographic data point. During the Campanian, when this vertebra was deposited, the eastern Canadian Arctic was likely isolated both from western North America by the Western Interior Seaway and from more southern regions of eastern North America by the Hudson Seaway. This fossil suggests that large-bodied hadrosaurid dinosaurs may have inhabited a large polar insular landmass during the Late Cretaceous, where they would have lived year-round, unable to migrate to more southern regions during winters. It is possible that the resident herbivorous dinosaurs could have fed on non-deciduous conifers, as well as other woody twigs and stems, during the long, dark winter months when most deciduous plant species had lost their leaves. La vertèbre d’un hadrosauridé a été retrouvée pendant l’étude palynologique de la formation Kanguk remontant au Crétacé supérieur, dans l’est de l’Arctique canadien. Il s’agit de la vertèbre appartenant à un dinosaure non avien qui a été recueillie la plus au nord jusqu’à maintenant.
