A atual aceitação social da prévia rebeldia Punk deu-se através da sua comercialização, onde foi possível ao mainstream suavizar os seus aspetos mais agressivos popularizando assim agrupamentos musicais do género. A vulgarização do Punk ocorreu deste modo através da incorporação comercial da sua música e estética. Neste relatório de estágio reflete-se sobre o papel e a influência da indústria no Punk. Através de uma análise ao festival Mighty Sounds, compreenderemos como a comercialização desta tribo urbana tornou este fenómeno facilmente reconhecido a nível mundial e qual o impacto da indústria nos movimentos do underground, desconhecidos pelo grande público, e que se encontram fora dos mediatismos comerciais e noticiosos. TRUTH CORRODED BIOGRAPHY 2018 Drums: Jake Sproule, Vocals: Jason North, Guitar: Trent Simpson, Bass: Greg Shaw, Lead Guitar: Chris Walden TRUTH CORRODED are an Australian band with a sound that captures elements of late 80's/early 90's inspired thrash and death metal, shaped by the likes of bands such as SLAYER, OBITUARY, SEPULTURA, KREATOR and EXHORDER, and then later influenced by acts such as MISERY INDEX, BEHEMOTH, NEUROSIS, DECAPITATED and REVOCATION. Taken together the influences have shaped a sound that is as confronting as the subject matter of the bands lyrics and pays homage to the go for the throat savagery of the bands roots. TRUTH CORRODED signed with leading US extreme metal label UNIQUE LEADER RECORDS which led to the release of the album titled 'Bloodlands' which was released in March 2019. Based on themes surrounding war and displacement, the album depicts the state of our times and the social and political impact that is having both in the bands home country Australia and abroad. The title refers to the growth of new conflict from conflicts past, with the suffering it creates spreading its roots. The album was recorded with session drummer Kevin Talley (SUFFOCATION, DYING FETUS, CHIMAIRA) – his third album with the band – and was mixed and mastered by renowned heavy music producer Chris 'ZEUSS' Harris (HATEBREED, SOULFLY, REVOCATION). The album also features guest appearances by Stephen Carpenter of DEFTONES, Terrance Hobbs of SUFFOCATION, Mark Kloeppel of MISERY INDEX and Ryan Knight, ex-THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER/ARSIS. Ian Gillan lasciò i Deep Purple nel 1973 proprio dopo la pubblicazione dell'acclamato album “Who Do We Think We Are?”, a causa di forti contrasti interni con il chitarrista Ritchie Blackmore. Il grande cantante urlatore formò una band tutta sua e quindi dopo tre anni pubblicò, nel 1976, il suo primo disco solista con essa. Quell'album adesso introvabile era “Child In Time” e contiene una splendida cover della famosa canzone dei Purple, meno hard rock, meno nervosa e drammatica, con un'inclinazione più sognante e malinconica eseguita con molti sapori progressivi. Esso segnò l'ascesa della prima formazione della Ian Gillan Band, rimarcata ancora nel 1977 dalla pubblicazione degli ottimi “Clear Air Turbulence” e “Scarabus”, entrambi nello stesso anno ed entrambi con un particolare mood jazzato, un groove alieno a ciò che Gillan ci aveva abituati nella sua band porpora, e con straordinarie parti sperimentali sottolineate da interventi di flauto e sax. Tutto ciò, appunto, era abbastanza fuori dalla norma per un cantante che proveniva direttamente dall'hard rock milieu, ma Gillan desiderava fortemente cambiare aria dal ruvido sound purpleiano così approdò all'esplorazione di spiagge quasi progressive. Poi nel 1978 cambiò di nuovo tutto facendo retromarcia e tornando verso i sicuri e redditizi lidi dell'hard rock inglese, cavalcando con arguzia ed esperienza il crescente successo della New Wave of British Metal costituita da Judas Priest, Saxon e Iron Maiden su tutti. -

__________________________ EDEN (Australan Band) BIO FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Saskia Reus-Smit February 2017 Media Relations [email protected] 61 435 743 576 EDEN is a Darkwave band that formed in Melbourne,Australia in 1988 by singer-songwriter Sean Bowley and multi-instrumentalist Pieter Bourke. EDEN’s debut performance was at the Baden Powell Hotel, Prahran. The band quickly established a local following that saw them perform regularly as a fixture in Melbourne's burgeoning alternative music scene. EDEN’s initial 12 inch EP ‘The Light Between Worlds’ was released in 1990 on Nightshift Records, Scotland. The EP caught the attention of BBC Radio's John Peel who featured tracks on his show, resulting in rapid support of EDEN by The Alternative Press Magazine in the USA. A 7” single version of ‘Searching for Angel’s Hands’ was released by Ultimate Records Australia the same year, broadening EDEN’s growing supporter base through a live appearance on Australia’s national pop music TV series Countdown Revolution. In 1991 EDEN moved to London based label Third Mind Records who continued to grow the band’s profile in Europe and the USA through the 1992 release of their first full length CD ‘Gateway to the Mysteries’ (released in Australia under Elysium/Shock Records). The album was described by the music press as sounding akin to 'the Cocteau Twins had they existed in the 1890s'. In 1993 EDEN joined the roster of Projekt Records, USA releasing the ‘Healingbow’ EP. In 1993, EDEN established a new lineup, Bourke leaving the band as drummer Peter Barrett, keyboardist Paul Machlis, guitarist Tracy Ellerton and bassist Ewan McArthur joined Bowley to form the next iteration of EDEN. -

The District desires to create a lasting and meaningful memorial to Chuck Brown, and the Department has commissioned a concept design for the memorial which is attached hereto as Attachment A (the “Concept Design”). The design-builder engaged through this procurement will be required to further develop the Concept Design and to construct the memorial no later than May 1, 2014 (the “Project”). In general, the Project will include a memorial wall made from concrete with a metal screen with photo images of Chuck Brown, and which lists Chuck Brown’s discography in metal lettering; a minimum of five (5) large outdoor interactive instruments embedded in a concrete pad, to be located adjacent to the existing playground; lighting directed at the memorial wall and memorial entrance wall; signage with raised metal lettering; landscaping (including cherry trees) and sod; new sidewalks and pervious pavers; storm water management initiatives; and decorative treatment to the exterior of the existing electrical buildings on the site.
