On the basis of the Complaint of one Arun Kumar Chowdhury S/o Ramesh Chandra Chowdhury of 192/4 Becharam Chatterjee Road, Ps- Parnasree, Kolkata- 34 the above noted case was started to the effect that on 17.12.2014 when he reached at Bank of Baroda Branch, Khidderpore, Kolkata, he found that his cash Rs. 50,000/- has been stolen by some unknown miscreants. Basak Para, Ps- Gangarampur, District -Dakshin Dinajpur ladged a written complaint to the effect that on 04-04-2015 at about 00.30 hrs the complainant along with his assistant were working in his shop, located at Gangarampur shopping Plaza. At that time some unknown miscreants entered into his shop and looted away Rs 2,00,000/- and some valuable cosmetics goods. After that the same miscreants also committed theft in respect of gold & silver 2 ornaments by breaking the door of Basak Jewelery shop at the same location During investigation the accused persons were identified from the CCTV footage of Basak Jewelry shop. All concern are requested if the side noted accused person are traced, please informed to the Superntendent of Police, Dakshin Dinajpur.WB 3.

The owner of the said shop was arrested. The value of seized articles is approx Rs. 85,000/-. On the basis of written complaint the instant case was started.

- 35 - (5) Interesting detections by CID, West Bengal :-

Ref : Hanskhali Ps Case No. 422/14 dated 03.07.14 U/S 396/397 IPC

One Archana Some W/o Late Rabin Some of Asarpara, Bogula, PS Hanskhali, Dist. Nadia (maid servant in the house of Prankrishna Kundu) lodge a written complain to the effect that on 02.07.2014 night at about 21:00 hrs she left for her house after completion of her daily work. Next morning on 03.07.2014 at about 5:00 hrs she got news from Nitai that on the night an incident of dacoity was occurred in the house of Prankrishna Kundu (owner of the house). As a result Prankrishna Kundu and his wife Bakul Kundu were seriously injured and they were shifted at Krishnanagar Dist. Hospital where said Bakul Kundu declared brought dead and Prankrishna Kundu referred to Kolkata Peerless Hospital in serious condition. As per endorsement SI Abhra Biswas of Hanskhali PS took-up the investigation.

Subsequently the control of investigation has been taken up by CID, WB vide org no.1051A/CS dated 10.07.2014. During investigation IO arrested suspected Nitai @ Nityananda Saha (37) S/o Lt. Bhanu Gopal Saha of Bogula Madhyapara, PS Hanskhali, Dist. Nadia and taken into 3 days PC and recovered one iron made pipe length aprox. 19 inches as weapons of offence IO also arrested another suspect Archana Some (Biswas) (43) W/o Lt. Bhola Nath @ Rabin Some @ Nupur Some of Asarpara, Bogula, PS Hanskhali, Dist. Nadia and recovered earring from her possession.

(6) Statement of conviction for the month of March by CID, West Bengal:-

i). On 25/3/2015 Ld. Assist. District Session Judge, Bolpur passed an order to convict accused Hilal Ahamed Mallick (35) and Billal Ahamed Saikh (24) to suffer imprisonment for 5 years each and to pay of fine of Rs. 3000/- each. In default to suffer for 6 months imprisonment in c/w Bolpur PS Case No. 248/2014 dt. 25/5/2014 u/s 489B/489C/120B IPC. This case was investigated by the officer of SOG Cell, CID WB.

ii). On 25/3/2015 Ld. ADJ FTC V Court, Alipore, South 24-Parganas passed an order to convict accused Saifuddin Gazi to suffer for RI for 10 years and fine of Rs. 20,000/- in default RI for 6 months more in c/w Tiljala PS Case No. 197/2009 dt. 30/6/2009 u/s 489B/489C/120B IPC. This case was investigated by the officer of SOG Cell, CID WB.

iii). On 31/3/2015 the Ld. ADJ, 2nd FTC Alipore, South 24-Parganas passed an order to convict accused Rahaman Mahibur and Hamidul Haque to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 10 years each and to pay of fine of Rs. 10,000/- each in default to suffer 6 months imprisonment each in c/w Jadavpur PS Case No. 95/2009 dt. 14/2/2009 u/s 489B/489C/120B IPC. This case was investigated by the officer of SOG Cell, CID WB.

iv). On 31/3/2015 the Ld. FTC 4th Court, Barrackpore passed an order to convict accused Sk. Bacchu @ Sk. Abdul Kalam @ Sk. Abdul Salam @ Khokan(30) to suffer an imprisonment for life and to fine of Rs. 5000/- in default to suffer simple imprisonment for 5 years in c/w Naihati PS Case No. 115/2007 dt. 3/7/2007 u/s 302/34 IPC, 25/27 Arms Act. This case was investigated by the officer of SOG Cell, CID WB.
