It's been stripped from it's warm crispness. This new master is sapless and kind a dry... Chuck's vocals are a lot more flat and often melt with guitars. The drums (especially snare) have been added some significant amount of delay. As a result they sound is kind of artificial like... This version has been remixed and remastered. As a result we've been given totally new version of this already nearly perfect recording, Why they do such things to a perfect records??? Duktilar I thought that my copy on Red Splatter is broken but now I see the same problem is with White inside Clear copy. Vocals are terrible dark, snare is very annoying. All record sound is muddy. It's so lifeless. What happened? Maybe is just issue of this colored versions and normal black vinyl sounds fine? Ranicengi I agree with everything you said...I wish they just stuck to the original. For us snobs that have the og pressing, this will still sound good to the person discovering Death for the first time. To me the highs drowned out Chuck's vocals too much...it does sound flat. Kamick Are you telling you didn't hear the 2011 Relapse remaster till now? Sounds great to me. I only miss ''obsession, obsession, obsession, obsession.....''
