M25 MOTORWAYJUNCTIONS 20 –21A TEMPORARYTRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Hertfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the phased overnight closureof:- a) both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 20 (A41/A4251) and Junction 21A (A405); b) theroad leading to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 20 (A41); c) the road leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 20 (A41); d) all of the roads connecting both carriageways of the M25 to and from both carriageways of the M1 at Junction 21 (M1 Junction 6A); e) the road leading from the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21A (A405); and f) the road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 21A (A405). These measures areinthe interests of road safety while contractors undertake street lighting, road-marking and stud replacement, signage, site investigations, and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 9weeks starting on or after Monday 6th January 2020. The overnight closures will take place as follows (maximum period) – Monday –Thursdays 22:00 –05:30 Fridays 23:00 –06:00 Saturdays 22:00 –06:00 Sundays 22:30 –05:30 The Order will come into force on 4January 2020 and have amaximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works arecomplete. Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using other junctions on the M25 and M1 and by using the A41 and A405. The diversion in operation will vary according to the closureinforce.
