RAIN WATER MANAGEMENT

Rainwater Harvesting Plan:

As per GDCR there is one percolated well in every 4000 m2. Hence Requirement percolated well = 7000 m2 / 4000 m2 = 1.75 Nos. However we will provide 2 Nos. of percolated well. Locations of Percolating Bore wells are shown in Lay out plan drawing vide Annexure - 7.

Rain water outlets shall be provided at various locations on terrace based on the criteria that minimum 1% slope to be provided towards rain water outlet from the ridges.

The rainwater collected from the rooftop areas within the project area will be conveyed into the rainwater harvesting system consisting of Desilting-cum-Filter Chamber and than its disposal into recharge pits.

Adequate rainwater harvesting pit will be provided.

INTRODUCTION Any vast project is associated with certain positive impacts as well as some negative impacts on the environment. However, the negative or adverse impacts cannot possibly rule out development. At the same time adverse impacts cannot be neglected. An environmental management plan should be formulated for mitigation of the adverse impacts and should be based on the present environmental conditions and environmental impact appraisal. This plan helps in formulation, implementation and monitoring of the environmental parameters.

The Environmental Management Plan describes in brief, the plan for keeping a constant check on all the major pollution sources, in the form of regular environment monitoring, proper and adequate implementation of treatment and control systems for air, liquid and solid pollutants and for maintaining the environment. It also includes development of green belt, noise control and other mitigative measures.

ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT POLICY

Although there shall not be any major environmental pollution from the proposed project, measures shall be taken to make the buildings highly environment friendly.

There shall be no air pollution from the buildings on regular basis, expect for the vehicular emissions. D.G. sets shall be operated only in case of emergency or power failed.

Only domestic effluent (sewage) shall be generated from the entire buildings. Sewage shall be discharged into SMC drainage for further treatment and final disposal.

No solid hazardous wastes shall be generated from the buildings. Only non-hazardous garbage waste shall be generated like dry Garbage (paper, small food & beverage packing material), Other Waste (Large packing cartons, wooden crates, Tins large & Small) from the entire buildings.

There shall be no sources of noise pollution and thermal pollution from the buildings except emergency operations of D.G. sets.

Landscaping and green-belt have been planned within the entire buildings to provide a major sink for any air, thermal and noise pollutions.

OBJECTIVES OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

The main objectives in formulating this environmental management plan are:

 To treat all the pollutants viz. air, liquid and solid, which contribute to the degradation of the environment, with appropriate technology.

 To comply with all regulations stipulated by the central / state pollution control boards related to gaseous emissions, liquid effluent and solid / hazardous wastes discharges as per air, water and environment pollution control laws / rules.

 To create good living conditions for all Residential Owners & Visitors.

 To reduce fire and accident hazards
