October 2014 New Hampshire Soccer Association – Professional Development

Dear DOCs, Technical Directors, Player Personnel Directors, & ODP Coaching Staff

Please find some helpful links in this email for this month’s Professional Development and also pass this communication on to your coaching staff.

------NHSA Updates What a great opening month of the NHSL Fall Season! It was been a joy to see all the amazing soccer being played in the early part of the fall season. As the weather begins to change, and the colors become more captivating, the soccer only intensifies!! I have been traveling all the month throughout working with a number of NHSA members, and the one thing in common across the State is that we have a passion for soccer here in New Hampshire!

Recently we celebrated Youth Soccer Month with a great showing on Sunday September 28, 2014 (see some images below). We had an excellent turn of for our 17th Annual NHSA U10 Fall Festival. The Governor provided her support, and declared September Youth Soccer Month across New Hampshire. The highlight of all the soccer activities this month was our Youth Soccer Month celebration at Piscataquog Soccer Complex in Manchester, NH. We had several hundred players take part in our culminating event. New Hampshire Soccer Association was fortunate to have a former NH Soccer Star, and current New England Revolution #9 came by to support our event – Charlie Davies (Manchester, NH). It was a fitting way to culminate the soccer celebration in our State, with one of our own!

As we shift our focus to the remaining weeks of play in the NH Soccer League, and Kohl’s American Cup please begin to think about winter soccer! Feel free to contact our VP of Indoor – for any and all soccer options during the winter season here in New Hampshire. Also please circulate my Winter Supplemental Series to continue the great outdoor programs we had during this fall, throughout the winter. If you did not take part in our Player Development Program then please feel free to reach out to me to discuss the details of the program for those who are interested.

Keep up the great work, and see you on the field!

-Eric
