Founded in 2002, ParkOtheK is a French e-magazine about theme and amusement parks, and out-of-home entertain- ment industry.

For 8 years, ParkOtheK has been publishing articles and reports about the world of entertainment for professional readers mainly in France and in Europe. Our reports about parks history and trends, are illustrated by interviews of park managers, designers of entertainment facilities and artists.

Many professionals have got in touch with us to know who could help them to create their entertainment facility, or to design a new area in their park. The entertainment industry may be complicated to understand for a newcomer. We came up with this idea to create a directory of masterplanners.

There is no school to learn how to be a park masterplanner. A masterplanner is a little at a time an architect, a desi- gner, an entertainer, an engineer, and a landscaper. We hope that the following pages will give a good idea of the masterplanner’s job.

We didn’t want this directory to be a collection of phone numbers and addresses. We wanted to make a useful tool for new clients and future projects worldwide in answering the question: “Masterplanner, what is your job?” . There- fore, each company had the opportunity to showcase its products and its skills with texts and pictures.

We contacted more than 100 companies worldwide. The directory will grow in the next editions.

For further information or comments, do not hesitate to contact us.
