Vaccination Instructions

Merial Purevax FVRCP is used to prevent Panieukopenia, Rhinotracheitis and Calicivirus 1st Shot Date: ______Age: ______2nd Shot Date: ______Age: ______NO FIP VACCINE: Please do not allow anyone to give this cat a vaccine for Feline Infectious Peritonitis. According to recent reports, this vaccine is totally ineffective and may predispose your cat to this disease. NO RABIES OR FELINE LEUKEMIA VACCINATIONS: It is our feelings at this time that the risk of contracting either of these diseases is far less than the severe reactions and even deaths that are occurring due to these vaccinations. Hopefully better and safer vaccines will be available in the future. Until then...JUST SAY NO. If it is an ordinance in your neighborhood that compels you by law to get the Rabies vaccine, wait until your cat is at least one year old, and do not combine it with any other vaccine of any kind or in conjunction with a surgery of any kind. SPAY/NEUTER: kittens are spay/neutered and have had their kitten shots, no other vet work is necessary until given their kitten shot booster at 15 months of age. Do not get any more boosters as it is not necessary after this point. If you do, it will shorten the life of your cat from kidney and liver toxicity. Feeding Instructions

Water: Fresh Spring Water at all times. No tap or city water. Some well water is okay if there are no chemicals added. Food:

Note: In place of canned food you may substitute cooked chicken, turkey, or beef (no pork). No food Changes PLEASE: Change of diet usually results in severe intestinal upsets which could endanger your kitten's life. If the stool gets loose on your kitten for more than a day or two please contact me. DO NOT USE MILK: Milk can cause intestinal upsets and make your kitten very ill; but 4% cottage cheese is very good for them and they love it. Once in a while, ONE teaspoon of Evaporated milk is okay. NOT EATING: It is perfectly normal for a new kitten to be slightly off of its feeding schedule for a few days. Just give your kitten plenty of love and attention while it is adapting to its new environment, and it will resume eating. If your kitten does not eat at all, you should encourage it by feeding it canned food from your fingers. Litter: Feline Pine or any PINE pellet bedding. Pine pellet horse bedding is very reasonably priced if available in your area. Houseplants: Most houseplants are poisonous to . Please eliminate them or hang them where they cannot be reached, but be sure that no leaves drop where the cat can eat them.
