[email protected] Union’s Philamlee Headlines Daktronics NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association Women’s Basketball All-Region Team CLEVELAND, Mississippi – Union University senior guard Amy Philamlee was named the Daktronics South Region Player of the Year to headline the 2014-15 Daktronics NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association Women’s Basketball All-Region Team. Philamlee, the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year as well as First Team All-GSC selection, is joined by four other student-athletes on the All-South Region First Team. Jasmine Wilkins (Nova Southeastern), the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, Kayk Wilson (Florida Tech) and Rana Thomas (Eckerd) each garnered First Team All-SSC honors and join Philamlee as first team selections. Taylor Beverly (West Georgia) was also chosen to the All-South Region First Team as well as being named to the First Team All-GSC. The second team was compiled by Chelsey Rhodes from Delta State University along with fellow teammate Seneca Walton. Rhodes and Walton were joined by Albany State’s Artisha Holston, Tampa’s Juliana Cavallaro, Nova Southeastern’s Danielle Robinson, Miles College’s Porshia Blue, and West Florida’s Toni Brewer. Sports information directors from NCAA Division II South Region schools and conferences selected the two Daktronics All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.
