ANNUAL PERFOMANCE REPORT The start of the WWS programme for the academic year 2019-2020 coincides with the coordinators meeting held at the Govt.College for the Women on 22/08/2019. Instructions given at the coordinators meeting were presented by the coordinator at the meeting held at the Principal Chember on 26/08/2019. The internal monitoring cell of WWS directed to carry out the activities in accordance with the Guidelines. According to the guideline, five departments have been selected by the Principal – Hindi, Economics, Music, Mathematics and Chemistry. One Faculty from these departments were selected as Internal mentors. Internal mentors are - Dr. Bindu Velsar (Hindi), Shanu S (Economics), Vineetha P (Music), Rajeshwari B (Maths), Shiny Raphel (Chemistry). The students were selected according to their marks. A meeting was conducted for the internal mentors on 20/08/2019. New guidelines were made convinced to them. On 29/08/2019 list of students selected from five departments has been published - HINDI ECONOMICS MUSIC MATHS CHEMISTRY

On 4/9/2019 , Orientation programme was conducted for the newly enrolled students in the WWS programme at the Assembly hall. The coordinator explained to the students –what about the WWS programme was and the benefit of joining the programme. The external mentors panel was unanimously approved in the meeting of the Internal monitoring cell held in the principal chamber on 03/10/2019. On 05/10/2019 Principal Dr. G Vijayalekshmi formally inaugurated the WWS programme for the academic year 2019-2020, at which the members of the Internal monitoring cell were present. Dr.Sobha P, Dr. Anisha G S and Dr.Bindu Velsar felicitated the gathering. External mentoring sessions were started on 5/10/2019. The first class was of Renjana Varghese, who took the class on “Self awareness –SWOT Analysis- making personal development plan (PDP). Same day afternoon Tiffany Brar , alumni and National & International award winner, shared experience with students in the title-“Meet an Expert”. Next External mentoring session was held on 19/10/2019 at which the renowned playwright and founder of Soorya film fest, Soorya Krishnamoorthy taken a class on “Art & self development (Theatre and/or other experience art forms as medium of self expression). He was taken the class very effectively. Madam Methil Devika‟s class was held from 11.30 to 12.30 pm .She also took a class on Art & self development (Theatre and/or other experience art forms as medium of self expression). Befor lauching Methil Devika‟s Documentry „Sarpadamsham” First time presented and demonstrated in front of our WWS students on this occasion . Soorya Krishnamoorthy and Methil Devika shared their experiences, which was very inspiring for the students. Dr.Roney George of Mannanam College gave a lecture on “Developing Scientific temper and essential aspects of Research in contemporary Society”. Next class was on 26/10/2019. In the morning session the class was taken on the subject “How to Read and review an academic Book” by P.Vijayakumar, also known widely as PVK. He conducted the class through doing by learning method. Afternoon session was taken by the famous psychologist Dr. Deena Balakrishnan on “Goal setting –setting realistic goals, making action plan to achieve goals” .She presented her topic in an inspiring an effective manner. Next class was on 2/11/2019. The class was taken by Prof.Dr.Bismi Gopalakrishnan of Law Department of MG University on the topic “Understanding the constitution and democratic values”. In the afternoon session was engaged by Dr.Mahesh Mohan of MG University of Environmental sciences, who visited Artic region shared his experiences to the students in the title “Meet an Expert”. External mentoring sessions ended for the first year through this class. External mentoring session for 2nd year students started on 16/11/2019. First class was taken by Saleena S on “Gender Sensitization”. At 1.30pm Dr. Smitha Ashokan (All Saints College) took a class on “Environmental sensitization” based on a project she had done. The students of our College were also assured to participate in her next project. Next class was on 7/12/2019. We have got the apt person to present the topic on “Learning soft skill and presentation skills”. Renjit Kesav who attends debates in International level. His class was very useful for the students. After that Kaikasi teacher , Assistant Professor of English , University College came to take a class on “Learn how to review journal article”. Her class was very effective. Second year External mentoring session came to an end after this class. Internal mentoring sessions All Internal mentoring classes began in October-November. The first year students were given classes according to the guidelines. Both second and third year students have taken classes to suit their interests. Some even did documentary and projects with students. Some of them organized debates and others introduced distinguished personalities. Someone took part in initiatives that fostered social commitment in students. Some went to VSSC with students. Some mashed up on kids style. Over all the Internal and External mentoring sessions have been very good this year. In addition , a motivational visit was organized by NIT, IIM Kozhikkod, University, Kalamandalam, and CUSAT on February 17,18,19. Distribution of stationary kit for children was also carried effectively. All the activities of WWS Programme of 2019-2020 could be completed in a timely manner.

2. Innovative & different way of implementing the Programme. 1. A visit with an entrepreneur Archana Gopinath. 2. Bhav - Sustainable hiving and upcyding –a start up curated by youngsters striving to encourage use of sustainable eco-friendly products. 3. Visit to the space museum VSSC. Which takes you through the various historical land works that marked the journey of our many space programme. 4. Arrange imotional health classes for wws students. Orange room team is a Social organization that works improving awareness towards emotional health . Orange room is endeavor by Sherin Noorudeen .

3. Participation of WWS students in Social Service sector- WWS students prepare documentary titled ‘Campus thought’ . It helps awareness about campus wastemanagement.
