On 8th youth 16 year old males were disturbed at a garage at Silverknowes Neuk, it being reasonable to assume they were intending on committing theft. During 8th – 9th Sept a housebreaking took place at Lauriston Farm Road. Window smashed, entry gained, nothing stolen. Between 3rd – 9th Sept an attempted housebreaking at Silverknowes Hill, window smashed, no entry gained, nothing stolen. Between 7th – 10th Sept a empty business building under renovation at Cramond Road South was entered via a hole in the roof and tools stolen. 27th - Daytime housebreaking at East Barnton Avenue, door forced, jewellery stolen from within. Between 20th Sept – 5th Oct a property was broken into at Silverknowes Road. Nothing stolen. Assault On 25th Sept a 15 year old youth attempted to grab a staff member at Tesco having been barred at lunch time. Youth has been identified and shall be charged. Davidson’s Mains & Silverknowes CPT Almond Ward Not Protectively Marked Davidson’s Mains & Silverknowes Association Meeting Not Protectively Marked Road Safety / Initiatives 12th - A 36 year old female was charged with failing to stop after an accident at Vivian Terrace. 14th – 39 year old male arrested for driving while unfit through drink or drugs at Tescos. 16 year old arrested for numerous driving offences. Two of the offences occurred at East Barnton Gardens, where having crashed into a police vehicle the accused did fail to stop/report accident. 23rd – 55 year old drink driver arrested at Lauriston Farm Road. Theft On 1st a powertool was stolen from Tesco car park while left unattended. Around 17.30 hours on 4th Sept a insecure pedal bike was stolen from Tesco car park. On 10th a child scooter was stolen from a 10 year old on the cycle path by an older child. On 8th an insecure pedal cycle was stolen from the car park of Tesco, Cramond Road South. 22nd - 35 + 45 year old males arrested for theft shoplifting Tesco. Hate Crime On 30th Sept a youth charged with a hate crime after shouting comments to other RHS pupils. No persons seen on heard. Between 25th Aug and 2nd Sept a car windscreen was damaged at Cramond Road South. No persons seen or heard. On 4th Sept a window was cracked by a youth who threw a stone at it, Silverknowes Gardens. 22nd – Cramond Road South - 35 year old male arrested for obstructing police search. 22nd – window cracked at The Green, stone thrown from rear walkway.
